His contact was considered to be a discount at the time. Yeah he had a bad series, but it's not that easy to replace a player that's scored 70-90+points the last couple of seasons. Plus he was one of the better players leading up to the Panthers series, which we were simply out coached and out played all around. If Igor wasn't so good it wouldn't have been close. And we lost to the team that won the Stanley Cup and almost won it last year. We're so close and people that hate on this team don't realize how lucky we are considering we were rebuilding a few years ago. They won the most points in franchise history and the presidents trophy. Teams can go decades without being a true contender.
