Gather up the items needed, and then when you go to a fence, use the crafting option, not the sell option.
Same thing when you craft items with Pearson. Use the "donate for crafting" option, not the "donate for camp funds." i made that mistake once.
Also Pearson can craft stuff for you. There are some things you definitely want for sure. You need to buy the crafting tools from the ledger which costs around 225(?) Dollars. Its in the camp after you do a couple main missions. Before you focus on hunting, get the first dead eye upgrade first and a varmint rifle.
Last thing - you will encounter a person or two on the road that needs saving from a snake bite, i believe. That person will eventually sit in front of a gun store and will let you chose something from the store and he pays in full, if you saved that person of course. I reckon get either the varmint rifle or springfield rifle, if you havent purchased them. Youll get some weapons for free through the story so you can save a lot of money early on.
It's at the Appleseed timber company. South eastish of valentine. It is time limited though. The bloke will build the house without it if you don't do it quickly. Found that to my cost just this morning
There’s a fence just north of Rhodes and another in Saint Denis that you can get to pretty easily. The only one that needs to be unlocked is Emerald Ranch, if you do the story missions you’ll be there soon enough.
Some of them are used for crafting.
Important advice, yes. I’d go to the fence and firstly look up which objects are needed to craft the trinkets.

You have to sell them at the Fence. I usually hit the one in Emerald Ranch.
You can sell them to fences, ther. Ones i know of are the one in the Emerald ranch, and the one next to Rhodes
There's one in Saint Denis too.
Sell them to a fence if you want the money for yourself, or donate them to the camp
Also, take a look what the fence has for sale, it will aid your crafting plus enable you to craft better ammo with instructions to learn.
Is there a way to Re~look at your side missions? I have to go get lumber to help the dad finish his house and I forgot what town the lumber was in?

It depends if you've started the foreman missions. Have you helped a guy from under a fallen tree there yet?
