Mariners. I started watching baseball in the early 90s. Ken Griffey jr was my childhood hero then Ichiro was a favorite of mine years later. If I'm not wearing a hometown team hat I'm wearing a Seattle hat.
Same. Moved to Seattle 12 or so years ago and became a fan by default, but now I genuinely love them. It’s always fun going to games when they play the Red Sox because I’m conflicted the whole time. Sox get a home run? Dammit! Wait! No! Woohoo!
I don't know whether I'd say 'like', more like I tolerate the Mets because I live 10 minutes from Citifield. It's the easiest, non-Corpo (Looking at you Bank of America Field in the Bronx) place to catch a ball game for me and I guess they represent the borough I've spent 1/3 of my life living in.
I'm actually going next weekend to see them retire Strawberry's number which I'm pretty excited for. Always enjoyed watching him.
Went to about 20 Mets games last year. Always to see ex Red Sox players or a cy young winter or MVP. Tickets always super cheap and the stadium is much nicer than that cement toilet bowl north of the city
I generally like the downtrodden teams, or at least root for them to be better. The Royals, Tigers, As, Marlins, Reds, Pirates, and Rockies are all teams I pull for.
Same. I lived in WA for almost a decade, went to a ton of Mariners’ games but couldn’t bring myself to buy a hat or jersey or even root for them beyond a “I hope they win while I’m here” type mindset.
It’s the same in every other sport too. I tried to adopt the Kraken as my second team, that didn’t catch on. I just didn’t *feel* a connection with the team.
It’s Boston through and through.
I’m glad I’m not alone. Minus checking in on the playoffs I don’t even really watch other baseball. I’m specifically into Boston Red Sox baseball it scratches my itch.
You're not weird. I only root for the Sox. I've lived all over the country, and I'm happy watching any baseball. I'm happy at minor league games. I'm happy watching two random teams play. But I always wear a Sox jersey even at a stadium where the Sox aren't playing. I can't find myself rooting for any other team
The ballpark is amazing as well, went to see the Sox play there back in ‘03, we had a great time. Fans were cool as long as you didn’t mention the Patriots.
The Padres. I got the package last year (and again this year) so I can watch games when the Sox aren't on, and I kept gravitating towards watching the Padres. Probably because of Don Orsillo lol, but that turned me into a fan.
And, though I could never be a \*fan\*, because division, I'll admit I enjoy watching the Orioles.
Phillies. I live nearby and my wife is a big fan. It's been kinda nice the last couple years while we've been mediocre to have a fallback who is seriously competitive.
Btw I've seen a LOT of Phillies fans who hate the Sox. I don't get it personally, but I guess it's crossover Boston hate from the other sports
As a transplant in Philly most of that hate is big Sixers guys as the Celts have made then their bitch for decades. Most of my friends that are not huge into basketball like the Sox
I often say that the Cubs are my NL team. I was so happy for them when they finally broke their own curse.
I also have a soft spot for the Blue Jays (but I’m near their AA team). Guardians too, I guess. Those go out the window when the Sox play them though.
Colorado Rockies - they had a minor league team in the 90’s called the New Haven Ravens. Used to go see them all the time as a kid so I still like to root for the Rockies when I can.
Yoooo my dad had season tickets to the Ravens and we would go all the time! Still think about that ballpark and all the wild stuff they did between innings and on the soundboard.
I like the Mets, because my family grew up in NY. I also like the D-backs because I spent so much time in Arizona and loved it. But I am Sox til I die no question.
I feel bad for the O's and the Jays for being stuck in the AL East with the Sox Yanks and Rays.
They never get a chance to win, so when they do well I always root for them.
I am from the DC area. Nationals didn't arrive until I was 16 years old and I hadn't watched the NL before hand. It doesn't matter so much anymore but there was strategy with turning a lineup over with the pitcher hitting. Nationals had a good 8 year run and they have prospects now but after the owner died, it's unclear what they plan to do there.
I respect the Yankees' history, but I tend to be very sectarian (I loathe the Orioles, for instance). As for other teams, they tend to be in the NL: the Cubs, Mets (though perhaps this is due to a nostalgic love of the NY Giants and the Brooklyn Dodgers), and the Nationals.
I like the Phillies after the Red Sox. I grew up in the area and continue to live there. I'll be taking the 5 1/2 hour drive to see the Sox on Saturday, though!
Mariners/Braves
Braves in the 90s were the shit
From Washington and watched The Kid/Big Unit/ARod/Joey Cora/Jay/Edgar was a real treat
Was there when the Kingdom got imploded
I generally like other teams’ players more than I like other teams and sort of support the team by proxy. Like when Sho was on the Angels. Or Nate Eovaldi on the Rangers. Joey Votto on the Reds. Etc.
Mom’s family was from Baltimore. I spent time as a kid watching O’s games with Grandpop. So, I don’t mind seeing them win a few. Unless playing the Sox.
Don’t know why, but I like the Giants too. Maybe the Yaz link?
I moved to Texas when I was 13. The Astros were always on tv, Houston was within driving distance, and all my new friends were Astros fans. They became my National League team and all was fine. Then interleague play started in 97 and the Astros moved to the AL in 13. So now still follow them and root for them unless they’re playing the Sox.
Because of geography, the Rockies. They had a lot of players I liked: Helton, Bichette, Larry Walker, Ellis Burks, Castilla.... They never had enough pitching, but their home games were wild.
The Cubs. Growing up, they were the only team I watched regularly, as I couldn’t stand the Braves, and WGN and whatever SportSouth was at the time were the only 2 basic cable channels that showed baseball, outside of Wednesday/Sunday night baseball on ESPN. Grew to love the old Harry Caray/Steve Stone broadcasts.
I rooted for Cleveland for a while when Francona was there. I am root for the Padres because of Xander and Don Orsillo. Better they are, the more I can hear Don call national Padres games.
I’ve been a Nationals fan ever since Ryan Zimmerman. Something about that early Nationals squad before all the star 1st rd picks just struck my itch and Zimmerman comments and Strausberg and Harper had me liking that team and now I just follow them out of habit but I still like them and will root for them if I can.
Kansas City. They are the closest to me and I have been to several games. Plus Alex Gordon went to my high school a couple years below me.
I liked the Astros in the 90s, but not so much anymore. I liked the Dodgers around the same time. Again, not so much since they became the Yankees of the NL.
I kind of like the Reds and Pirates, teams with a ton of history, but are small market now.
I like the Twins quite a bit. We used to live in Minnesota for a few years and had a great time going to Target Field. Plus, Minnesota's fans just might be the nicest people you'll ever meet.
When I was a kid, I liked the Expos, I was lucky enough to see two game at Olympic Stadium, I met my favorite player Tim Raines a the annual baseball dinner in Manchester, NH.
Nationals! I got to know someone in college who plays for them, so that’s a big reason as to why. Honestly they’re the only reason I even began to follow baseball. Gotta root for the home team too, of course.
Guardians.
I don’t really keep up with them, but my wife’s family is from Cleveland so I’ve lightly adopted them. They’re a nice contrast to the Red Sox in that their focus is on the small stuff. They’re not gonna hammer multiple homers per game. They play tight defense, focus on smallball and advancing the runners, just the fundamentals done well.
I was in Cleveland for a wedding this past weekend and I went to a game. 11-4 over the Twins, it was NOT what I was expecting lol. But it was really fun and Progressive Field is a top notch ballpark.
Atlanta Braves. When I was first getting into baseball around 9/10 years old all the Braves games were broadcast on TBS. At the time NESN was a “pay channel” and my mom would not pay for a channel that only showed sports. So I grew up with the likes of Ton Glavine, Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Ron Gant, David Justice, Otis Nixon, Deion Sanders and Terry Pendleton. Because TBS made the Braves very readily available and NESN at the time did not make the Sox available to me, I knew more about the Braves as a kid than I did about the Red Sox.
When I was young, I didn’t have a team. I loved following specific players. Pedro made me a Red Sox fan, which is lucky because Johnson could have made me a Diamondbacks fan 🤮(though that ‘01 WS I definitely rooted hard for AZ)
I love following pitchers, team doesn’t matter. Skenes is exciting, it’s good to see Buehler back, sad to see Verlander and Scherzer and Kershaw’s careers coming to an end. Love what Houck has done!
Team wise, I quietly root for the Padres, being closest to my hometown. Would love to see them finally win a WS.
I am first and foremost a Sox fan. I have been forever. But as I’ve gotten older and players move, I root for lots of teams because I follow a lot of individual players. I just keep a few steadfast rules, FUCK THE YANKEES. And FUCK MANNY MACHADO.
Reds.
My grandfather was an OG Sox fan, but I grew up in Cincy. The first ballgame I remember watching as a kid was a VHS tape of the '75 Series.
Teddy Ballgame is the GOAT
The Atlanta Braves. Lived in Georgia for a huge part of my life. Love their brand and fans. Pretty much my national league team I root for. Truist park is amazing and highly recommend anyone to go.
I am a big Reds fan myself. I live in Cincinnati and it’s a great fan base that’s starved for a winner. Some exciting young talent on the team and in the minors. Hopefully they can put it together one day.
I have particular soft spots for the Pirates (I've never known why), Mariners (I'm a 90s/00s kid), Tigers (current local 9), and Mets (with us on on Rule 3)
Of course I don't "like" either, but the way I feel about the Orioles and Blue Jays is not anything like the hatred I have for the Rays and Yankees. They both at least have long histories of employing specific players I've enjoyed watching.
Mariners and Cubs.
Cubs - very similar vibes to us, my best friend is a Cubs fan, needed an NL team so why not?
Mariners - I always vibed with the Mariners but I went to our opening series in Seattle and I’ve never met a nicer group of fans. If it’s not us getting a World Series, I’ll always be rooting for them now.
Oakland A’s. I know ownership is dogshit, but I’m about to get MLB in Sacramento for 3 years so this is truly a win win for me. Oakland has been the underdog for most of my life, it’s hard to hate on a team held together by duct tape.
I don't really *root* for another team, but I've always said that if I had to choose an NL team, I'd choose the Cardinals. My reasons:
1) We beat them in 04 and I felt really bad about that. I was so happy they won it shortly afterwards (I was 11 years old, cut me some slack)
2) I loved Scott Rolen for really no reason, Edgar Rentaria, and Jim Edmonds.
3) I couldn't even put into perspective where St. Louis was, so they become just an entity in my mind almost. Does that even make sense?
The Cards can go 0-162 or 162-0 and I wouldn't care. But if the Sox are not on/on early, I like to watch their organization.
I root for the Rockies for the same reasons. I do not root for the Dodgers, though.
I have been a life long Cubs fan because my whole family is from the Chicago area and I was actually born in Illinois. I have grown fond of some of their division rivals also. This kid De La Cruz on the Reds, is pure entertainment.
Braves. That's my Dad's team. I live in Richmond, VA and grew up watching the AAA Richmond Braves. But Sox have had my heart since Nomar's rookie year. I was a SS in little league and he was the best SS. The rest is history.
Tigers. My Dad grew up in Michigan and still has a little loyalty left in him, so seeing Detroit succeed is always a pleasant experience.
In the National league I always like the Giants because they feel like our West Coast counterparts for various reasons (historic team, usually the second fiddle in a legendary rivalry but has taken the upper hand in the 21st century, inconsistent), but I’ve also really grown on the Phillies because of Bryce Harper evolving into such a lovable guy.
The Angels. As a kid from Billerica, I was a big Gary DiSarcina fan so I was always checking their box scores. When my friends and I started playing fantasy baseball in the mid 90s, my team was all Sox and Angles players because those were the only rosters I knew off the top of my head. Followed them ever since.
The Atlanta Braves
I was born in Boston but left when I was still a one year old. Landed in Georgia when I was around three. Then Florida when I was five and have been here ever since. The Braves were on TV more than any other team, because of TBS.
I like the A’s. When we moved to California, they had a ton of old Red Sox players so we dubbed them “Red Sox west” and went to a ton of games. Then I kept rooting for them because I hated the Giants/Giants fans
Yeah I get it.
I’ve been a Sox fan since being a baby because of family and ties East, but it was cool to be able to go see baseball close when they kicked off, especially when Coors was opened in ‘95.
I saw the Sox beat the Rockies in the 2007 series.
It was great.
Yeah... I just moved to the area in 2021, and am down near CO Springs. My wife is a Rockies "fan" though (she's from the area but not really that into pro sports besides hockey, but she at least tolerates going to games with me when we're able to).
Great retro ballpark that many ballparks built after we’re modeled from, but bad ownership that gives away great players.
I’ll never forget nor forgive the Arenado atrocity.
Honestly this is going to get a lot of hate, but whatever team Shohei is on. Growing up I was into baseball super heavily, but he's the one that brought me back into it currently.
I have lived in NYC area for most of my life but other than the Sox I can tolerate the Mets. Have a lot of friends that are Mets fans and their fanbase is downright enjoyable given how their team has performed in recent seasons even while splashing that sweet new owner $$$
Dodgers, Cubs, Braves, and Pirates.
As godawful of a person he is, Bauer's videos when he was on the Dodgers got me back into baseball, so I appreciate the team, they also are just an entertaining watch.
I live in Indianapolis, so the Cubs are close and they're a lot of fun to go see.
My whole family are Braves fans.
Sox are my team because I played on the Sox a lot in little league. Pirates were my other team I played a lot on and their AAA is in Indy, so Indians games can be fun when I see MLB players on rehab or good prospects.
Mets, because I worked in NYC for about nine years and if I was gonna go to a ballgame I wasn’t going to that dump in the Bronx unless the boys were in town. So I went to the dump in Flushing. Then they redid both ballparks. CitiField is so nice with great sight lines everywhere. The other one wants to be a coliseum, but meh. I got to know the Mets fans pretty well and got behind the team. Really helped to get over ‘86. Fun Fact: The Red Sox were the first visiting team to CitiField, playing preseason exhibition games. I got to go to the second game, it was awesome.
Also the Reds, because I have family in Cincy, and Great American Ballpark is pretty great. Be sure to check out the Reds museum if you ever get to go.
Mariners, they feel like the lions to me. A team thats been mediocre/bad for so long i want them to do good. And who didnt love Ichiro
Whatever team Shohei is on, tho its hard this year i strongly dislike the dodgers
LA born, Boston for college. Dodgers and Red Sox are my teams and I’ve had a lot of fun watching players like Kiké, JT and Kenley move back and fourth
I also wasn’t a fan of baseball during 2018, or when Mookie was traded, and I’m glad for that. It would have been a very emotionally conflicting time
I've always had a soft spot for the Cubs because there's so much crossover appeal. Have tons of family from Chicago too, although most are White Sox fans.
Guardians. Born in Boston and moved to NE Ohio in the early 90's. Got to enjoy those good 90's & mid 2000's Indians teams. Omar Vizquel's glove was absolutely incredible.
Another vote for Phillies, my fiancé is from Philly and is a huge fan, we have MLB.tv so we are always watching both the Sox and the Phillies and I have to say they're super fun to watch right now. Harper is probably my favorite non Red Sox player too
I have a very specific hierarchy of who I root for:
Red Sox
NL charter teams (pre 1920)
AL charter teams (pre 1920)
Newer teams started before I was born (1984)
Teams started after I was born (there's 4 of them and I hope they never win anything especially the Rays)
Yankees
Based on this, I usually choose a classic NL team to root for each year on their side - usually the Cubs, Phillies, Reds, Pirates. This year, it's the Phillies because I like Harper and their pitching is awesome.
TLDR - fuck the Marlins, Rockies, Rays and D-Backs and especially fuck the Yankees.
Mariners. I started watching baseball in the early 90s. Ken Griffey jr was my childhood hero then Ichiro was a favorite of mine years later. If I'm not wearing a hometown team hat I'm wearing a Seattle hat.
Yeah the Mariners. Mostly because I love Seattle. It kind of feels like a West Coast Boston.
We’ve always referred to Safeco Field/TMobile Park as Fenway West. There’s usually a very solid showing of Red Sox fans when they play in Seattle
Same, Washington resident so kind of a default backup team, but they’re an easy team to root for in general.
Same!
This is all true for me too except I’m also a lifelong Nintendo fanboy, so them buying the team was awesome.
Nintendo owning the Mariners, Disney owning the Angels. The 90s were weird for corporate sports team acquisitions.
Same. Moved to Seattle 12 or so years ago and became a fan by default, but now I genuinely love them. It’s always fun going to games when they play the Red Sox because I’m conflicted the whole time. Sox get a home run? Dammit! Wait! No! Woohoo!

I'm actually going next weekend to see them retire Strawberry's number which I'm pretty excited for. Always enjoyed watching him.
Same here. I live in Queens and enjoy the hapless Mets unless they’re doing some 1986 commemorative bullshit at the stadium.
Went to about 20 Mets games last year. Always to see ex Red Sox players or a cy young winter or MVP. Tickets always super cheap and the stadium is much nicer than that cement toilet bowl north of the city
In line with the Mets, I am a big Brooklyn Cyclones supporter. Such a great stadium and right by the beach.
Braves. My father was a Braves fan and the late 1950s Braves were awesome teams. More recently, the Dodgers because of Mookie.
Gotta love our Boston Braves!
I currently live in NYC so I enjoy going to Mets games.
I love when the tickets go down to $4 on TickPick after they’ve given up on the season.
Last year when Edwin Diaz was out before the season even started tickets went down, same with when verlander was out for the beginning of the season.
I generally like the downtrodden teams, or at least root for them to be better. The Royals, Tigers, As, Marlins, Reds, Pirates, and Rockies are all teams I pull for.
You basically have mine to a T. Just add D-backs, and for whatever reason I’m indifferent about the Rox & A’s, but will pull for them in general
Call me weird, but just the Sox. I’m very traditional in that sense. Minus the whole “anyone who is playing the Yankees”

But I always wear a Sox jersey even at a stadium where the Sox aren't playing. I can't find myself rooting for any other team
This is exactly how I feel
Pirates. As much as I hate rooting for any team from Pittsburgh, I love McCutchen!
The ballpark is amazing as well, went to see the Sox play there back in ‘03, we had a great time. Fans were cool as long as you didn’t mention the Patriots.
Ha. I’m not a Pats fan, so I’d have been fine there.
Cutch is life

Btw I've seen a LOT of Phillies fans who hate the Sox. I don't get it personally, but I guess it's crossover Boston hate from the other sports
Even when the Sox are playing well Bryce Harper is so fun to watch
Bohm and the Phils pitchers are especially exciting right now
As a transplant in Philly most of that hate is big Sixers guys as the Celts have made then their bitch for decades. Most of my friends that are not huge into basketball like the Sox
I could see also Pats and Bruins hate too, but yeah my understanding is it was mostly basketball related
I live in DFW, so I don't mind the Rangers
Same. I live in Texas as well.
I often say that the Cubs are my NL team. I was so happy for them when they finally broke their own curse. I also have a soft spot for the Blue Jays (but I’m near their AA team). Guardians too, I guess. Those go out the window when the Sox play them though.

Yoooo my dad had season tickets to the Ravens and we would go all the time! Still think about that ballpark and all the wild stuff they did between innings and on the soundboard.
Haha oh hell yeah, such great memories. Between them and the Bridgeport Bluefish we were spoiled with MiLB teams back then.
My mom went to college in Chicago so we both have a soft spot for the cubbies
Because of geography and where I live, The Mets. I always want them to succeed if we don’t, unfortunately that’s not the world we live in
Nats. Strictly based on geography
It's a fun place to watch a game and good for bringing kids.
Oh absolutely. I’ve been there a few times. Hope to go back this season
I like the Mets and the Dodgers because they have had so many former Ref Sox players
Hartford YardGoats are Rockies so I’d say Rockies are my NL team and I also have a soft spot for the Mets
Also follow the Phillies, and am coming to the Red Sox as a recovering A’s fan who has occasional relapses.
Sorry for your loss.
*Losses
Braves & Rangers
I like the Mets, because my family grew up in NY. I also like the D-backs because I spent so much time in Arizona and loved it. But I am Sox til I die no question.
I feel bad for the O's and the Jays for being stuck in the AL East with the Sox Yanks and Rays. They never get a chance to win, so when they do well I always root for them.
SF Giants because I grew up in the Bay Area. F the Dodgers
None, this my team. That's it
I like the Brewers, Orioles, Reds and Seattle
> Orioles, Come again?
Man, I can get behind 2, maybe 3, of those lol
I am from the DC area. Nationals didn't arrive until I was 16 years old and I hadn't watched the NL before hand. It doesn't matter so much anymore but there was strategy with turning a lineup over with the pitcher hitting. Nationals had a good 8 year run and they have prospects now but after the owner died, it's unclear what they plan to do there.
This will probably get some hate but as someone who lives in Florida I still root for both of the Florida teams as long as they're not playing the Sox
Mets because I live in Queens, Dodgers because of Mookie and others.
I live in Philly so I go to a ton of Phillies games and love going. It doesn’t hurt that the team has been great
Pirates. Because I hate myself
😂
Miami Marlins because they are my hometown team.
I've always liked the Cleveland team
I love the game in general. I can watch any two teams play and usually root for the underdogs. My love for the Sox is hometown bias.
I like the Phillies after the Red Sox. I grew up in the area and continue to live there. I'll be taking the 5 1/2 hour drive to see the Sox on Saturday, though!
Mariners/Braves Braves in the 90s were the shit From Washington and watched The Kid/Big Unit/ARod/Joey Cora/Jay/Edgar was a real treat Was there when the Kingdom got imploded
Interesting that Joey Cora got a mention but Edgar didnt.
You are absolutely right, I just remember 'CORA ROUNDS 3RD THEY ARE WAVING JUNIOR HOME'
Phillies and Cubs.
I generally like other teams’ players more than I like other teams and sort of support the team by proxy. Like when Sho was on the Angels. Or Nate Eovaldi on the Rangers. Joey Votto on the Reds. Etc.
Athletics
Mom’s family was from Baltimore. I spent time as a kid watching O’s games with Grandpop. So, I don’t mind seeing them win a few. Unless playing the Sox. Don’t know why, but I like the Giants too. Maybe the Yaz link?
Yup, Yaz link and I have a Buster Posey RC 👍,peace.
I moved to Texas when I was 13. The Astros were always on tv, Houston was within driving distance, and all my new friends were Astros fans. They became my National League team and all was fine. Because of geography, the Rockies. They had a lot of players I liked: Helton, Bichette, Larry Walker, Ellis Burks, Castilla.... They never had enough pitching, but their home games were wild.
I was a brief Rockies fan during the Jimenez era.
Albeit briefly, he was great. Not many pitchers thrive in that park.
Celtics
Phils as I live in PHL and its the only philly team I remotely like. Brewers and basically the whole AL West except the Angels
I rooted for Cleveland for a while when Francona was there. I am root for the Padres because of Xander and Don Orsillo. Better they are, the more I can hear Don call national Padres games.
Machado being on the Padres ruins them for me.
Brewers are my second favorite team. I have family in Wisconsin so I’ve gone to see them a few times

[удалено]
Yes Pirates, Steeler and Penguin fan so...peace.
Many years of working at the NH FisherCats games caused me to be able to tolerate Toronto. It's hard to root for other teams though.
I’m a lifelong AZ native, so the Dbacks are my NL team. Them beating the MFY in ‘01 was the best sports memory of my life until 2004 lol.
Oakland A’s! Im from Glasgow and grew up a huge Celtic fan so gotta support the green white and gold team lmao
Dbacks, grew up in Arizona and when they won the ship in 2001 against the hated Yankees they became my second favorite behind Boston.
Charros de Jalisco. It's fun to watch baseball in winter, what can I say?
I like the Twins quite a bit. We used to live in Minnesota for a few years and had a great time going to Target Field. Plus, Minnesota's fans just might be the nicest people you'll ever meet.
I’m actually primarily a Nationals fan. I root for the Sox tangentially because I live in Worcester for the time being.
Grew up in NH, but now live in NOVA. The Expos were my second favorite team growing up, so now I like the Nats.
Why would I root for a team that isn't my own?
When I was a kid, I liked the Expos, I was lucky enough to see two game at Olympic Stadium, I met my favorite player Tim Raines a the annual baseball dinner in Manchester, NH.
I always liked the Oakland A’s. They had the same colors as my school and Johnny Damon came there before he played for the Red Sox
Rockies. Mainly because I hate myself. Plus. No matter how shitty the Sox get, the Rockies are usually worse.
My dad grew up an Oakland fan so they would be my number 2.
Would I cheat on my wife? No. So why would I cheat on my baseball team.
Always liked the rangers, Hamilton was my fravortire before and after steriods
When I was young, I didn’t have a team. I loved following specific players. Pedro made me a Red Sox fan, which is lucky because Johnson could have made me a Diamondbacks fan 🤮(though that ‘01 WS I definitely rooted hard for AZ) I love following pitchers, team doesn’t matter.
Braves
Reds. My grandfather was an OG Sox fan, but I grew up in Cincy. The first ballgame I remember watching as a kid was a VHS tape of the '75 Series. Teddy Ballgame is the GOAT
Braves are my NL team because I live in the south
Giants. Throw on some John Miller for a 10pm start, Zzzzzzzz Plus, they seem like the Red Sox to the Dodgers (Yankees)
The Mets
Reds, live 45 min from Cincinnati and they are a fun team to watch
The Atlanta Braves. Lived in Georgia for a huge part of my life. Love their brand and fans. Pretty much my national league team I root for. Truist park is amazing and highly recommend anyone to go.
Living in a team divided house. I love the Mets.
I am a big Reds fan myself. I live in Cincinnati and it’s a great fan base that’s starved for a winner. Some exciting young talent on the team and in the minors. Hopefully they can put it together one day.
Reds and Padres usually
DODGERS cause they got Mookie, Kike, and Joe Kelly, and they had J.D. last year! It’s kinda sad actually. Miss them.
I have particular soft spots for the Pirates (I've never known why), Mariners (I'm a 90s/00s kid), Tigers (current local 9), and Mets (with us on on Rule 3) Of course I don't "like" either, but the way I feel about the Orioles and Blue Jays is not anything like the hatred I have for the Rays and Yankees.
I watch the Padres so I can listen to Don Orsillo again. Now I like the team.
I don't really *root* for another team, but I've always said that if I had to choose an NL team, I'd choose the Cardinals. My reasons: 1) We beat them in 04 and I felt really bad about that. I was so happy they won it shortly afterwards (I was 11 years old, cut me some slack) 2) I loved Scott Rolen for really no reason, Edgar Rentaria, and Jim Edmonds.
Padres cause over the years and trades.
Rockies, A’s, Pirates. My MLB The Show Fantasy draft teams
My teams, in order of preference: 1. Boston Red Sox 2. Ohio State football 3. Jacksonville Jaguars 4. Florida State football
Mets, White Sox, D’Backs
The Atlanta Braves I was born in Boston but left when I was still a one year old. Landed in Georgia when I was around three. Then Florida when I was five and have been here ever since. The Braves were on TV more than any other team, because of TBS.
Mets and Twins
Used to vacation in north Carolina and moved to Virginia so Nationals are my 2nd team
Lived in Denver for a bit and loved the ballpark experience there. Easy team to root for, perennial underdogs
I like the A’s. When we moved to California, they had a ton of old Red Sox players so we dubbed them “Red Sox west” and went to a ton of games. Then I kept rooting for them because I hated the Giants/Giants fans
Diamondbacks and Marlins.
I like Minnesota because Rocco Baldelli grew up around where I’m from.
Atlanta Braves or the former Boston Braves from years ago. Also grew up with the Braves on TBS.
Mets, lived in NY for a while
Cubs, Orioles, Braves, Dodgers
Rockies as I’m in the area.
I couldn't bring myself to root for the Rockies. So, I root for the Vibes instead.
ALC: Guardians ALW: A’s NLE: Phillies NLC: Brewers NLW: Padres
None
My husband is an Orioles fan so when they're not playing the Red Sox, if we go to one of their games I'll root for them.
I'm old school. If you're older than 12, you get one team, period. But hey, root for whatever team(s) you want.
And who didnt love Ichiro Whatever team Shohei is on, tho its hard this year i strongly dislike the dodgers
The Cubs. Dad grew up in Chicago and has always been a fan, kinda just started liking both them and the Sox since I was little
Diamondbacks. Cool name, cool look, and Corbin Carroll go zoom.
Astros! I just love the sound of the trash bins
Mets
LA born, Boston for college. Dodgers and Red Sox are my teams and I’ve had a lot of fun watching players like Kiké, JT and Kenley move back and fourth I also wasn’t a fan of baseball during 2018, or when Mookie was traded, and I’m glad for that. It would have been a very emotionally conflicting time
I've always had a soft spot for the Cubs because there's so much crossover appeal. Have tons of family from Chicago too, although most are White Sox fans.
I’ve got a soft spot for the Mets, the Braves, and because of obvious reasons- the Padres and Dodgers. Everyone else can go pound sand.
Harper is probably my favorite non Red Sox player too
I have a very specific hierarchy of who I root for: Red Sox NL charter teams (pre 1920) AL charter teams (pre 1920) Newer teams started before I was born (1984) Teams started after I was born (there's 4 of them and I hope they never win anything especially the Rays) Yankees Based on this, I usually choose a classic NL team to root for each year on their side - usually the Cubs, Phillies, Reds, Pirates. This year, it's the Phillies because I like Harper and their pitching is awesome. TLDR - fuck the Marlins, Rockies, Rays and D-Backs and especially fuck the Yankees.
Phillies ever since I got a Mike Schmidt bat when I was a kid in the 80s. Loved the powder blues too.
Rays and Braves.
