Hi, so the pledge here is just like a promise to donate once he’s been rescued. If he is rescued then we will update with the name of the rescue organisation and the information on how to donate. There will also be freedom photos of him leaving the shelter.
Right now we add up all the pledges and tell the rescues “x cat has $a in pledges”. It makes them more confident to take them on, knowing they have money for spay and neuter, vaccinations, etc, etc. So it really does help the cats to get rescued. Thank you for supporting Lover Boy 🖤

LOVER BOY (I'm 100% sure that nomen est omen in this case ... someone most probably gave him this name because he is affectionate af) reminds me SO much of my boy Tupac. Tupac was left behind by his owners when he was 2 (some neighbors remembered). He then lived as a stray for idk how many years. I moved into the dorm he lingered at and met him. I finally could adopt him when I moved into my own place. He was a senior at that point. He was the sweetest and always had so much love to give. 🖤🖤🖤

One of my current cats was picked up as a stray but had clearly had a loving home before. Nobody came for him and we've always wondered whether our sweet little lapcat is missed or just forgotten.

If they were loving people, they would have come for him.
I don't think it's necessarily fair to assume that. The owners could have died, become incapacitated, had their phone cut off etc..
This is my biggest fear is that when I pass, someone might just dump my poor babies instead of finding them loving forever homes.
Same. Can you imagine. One of my current cats was picked up as a stray but had clearly had a loving home before. Nobody came for him and we've always wondered whether our sweet little lapcat is missed or just forgotten. I hope we can give this boy a second chance for a loving home.
