Oh my gosh for real! This really isn’t that strict. Ive never heard of a place that didn’t want the receipt as proof in the first place. These customers be crazyy! I totally understand. So sorry these idiots bothering you so much over a little thing. ❤️

Mine is pretty generous, 90 days with receipt. It’s more strict without one but if they use a loyalty card a lot of times I can look up the transaction for them.

60 days with a receipt

If someone wants to do a return with no proof of purchase at my store, they get a gift card with the lowest sales price that item has sold for in the last year. So if they want to return a $100 pair of pants without a receipt, they might only get $20 or something ridiculously low.

14 days for a full refund back to original tender, 30 days to exchange. When people try to return/exchange past that time I lie and say the system just won't let me 🤷‍♀️

With a receipt: Within 2 weeks of the original purchase date and must have been purchased at our store, not another location or sister store. (We're part of the largest chain of grocery stores in the US.) We do not refund or charge if there is a price difference for an exchange of the same product. A different product is on a case-by-case basis on a refund/charge. Refund must go back to the original form of payment. The exceptions to this is using a check or one of the insurance benefits cards. A check is refunded in cash and the benefits card is a merchandise credit. On our part, we also staple a copy of the return/refund to the original plus we circle and initial the item on the original receipt. Without a receipt, we can do an even exchange of the exact same product or a merchandise credit.
