I think ror2 is *a* commando from the ror1 *era*, since commandos seem to be the dime-a-dozen military grunts around these parts, but while the playable ror1 commando escaped the planet (with everything but his humanity), lots of dudes ended up falling to the planet and getting roasted by the aliens there. One of the commandos who survived the crash ended up getting grabbed by the Void, presumably after Providence got killed and there wasn't anything left to keep the void stuff from roaming around on Petrichor V.
captain is undeniably gayer than engineer, what straight person would have a shotgun for a hand? if he *was* straight, he'd just hold the shotgun, not replace his hand with it.
