I collect high end audio (all McIntosh) and collect firearms, many of which has never had even a single round put through.
Pens, stamps, wines, lego, clocks, cufflinks, ties, shoes and F1 memorabilia. I hate clutter so I’m also very careful not to collect crap and take joy in organizing storage / displays.

In my mind a collector has some kind of a purpose and a theme. Does the legwork, research, and puts a lot of energy into it.
I do very little of that. I’d not define myself as a collector. But when you have more than 20 watches you can’t say you are not a collector either.
