The main reason for covering your serial number is to prevent scammers from using your picture to create fake for sale ads using your picture. There have been cases of scammers using pictures they found online that show the serial number, then when the potential buyer runs the serial number to verify it is a genuine Rolex, and that the piece is not stolen, it appears legitimate. The fake watch is then paid for, and never shows up. Then the buyer that got scammed reports the watch as stolen with the police, which also gets recorded in corporate documentation, insurance claims, and forums, causing you the hassle of having to verify that you have been the genuine owner the entire time and hopefully you have the proper documentation showing so, then it’s just a minor inconvenience for you. But if you don’t have that documentation, it can be quite the headache
Beautiful..!!
I know right!
My favorite
Stunning piece!
What was the wait for the rootbeer? Out of all the GMTs this is my favorite
I had no wait. It was a very lucky situation. Already once talked with the SAs and there was a connection.
Have one as well and it’s amazing. Perfect blend of sporty and dressy. Fits every occasion.
I wish I get the hype for Master GMTs one day.
OP you should cover your serial number.
Really? I don't see others doing this... What harm can be done?
