The money transfer is hold by chrono24 until both seller and buyer give green light that everything is oke. I shipped (within Europe) with a local carrier and had the package insured for the value of the watch. That was a quite expensive procedure but all was payed by the buyer.
I never ran into a situation like that, but I guess the buyer needs to sent the watch back to the seller. After the seller receives it, chrono24 will sent the money back to the buyer..
Yes. Only problem I had was my credit card thought the purchases were fraud because they were for large amounts based in Europe. Endless loop, so I ended up doing a wire transfer
I’ve only been surprised by them being so low… Like well under 5% in most cases IIRC. You can look up the actual formula of course but it seems to be variably applied and not usually exorbitant
Normally I don't waste time with people like you but I got to work a few minutes early so I will. The photo I saw when looking at it in the thread had the user name right over the price. iSo it was r easier to speak a response as I pulled away. I was curious because I have this watch and want to sell it. So I was wondering what the going rate was. The fact that it appears like you woke up your 3 year old child to scribble on a screenshot you took really speaks volumes of the type of person you are. May all the questions you ask in the future get the same level of attention you have offered.
> iSo it was r easier to speak a response as I pulled away.
Just because it was easier for you doesn't mean it's okay for everyone else.
Next time, put more effort into reading a post so everyone else is spared by your inattentiveness.
> The fact that it appears like you woke up your 3 year old child to scribble on a screenshot you took really speaks volumes of the type of person you are.
No, **your** response speaks volumes of the type of person **you** are.
Bought two watches from Chrono24 (not Rolex, but Tudor and Nomos). Bought Nomos from a dealer in Monaco, was fine except Chrono24 charged me twice for the transaction (was fine as credit card company rectified this). Bought Tudor from a private seller and was absolutely fine.
I bought a Glashütte Original through Chrono24 last year. Easy process and no issues. Just do your due diligence and research the seller a bit beforehand.
If it were me, I would look for an established Chrono24 dealer with a storefront. Check the reviews from past sales. You should be able to tell if it’s a quality/professional seller or not based on reviews.
yes, I have bought and sold on Chrono24 many times. The thing I like the most about it is their policy on returns, but you need to make sure that the seller has not opted out of that policy. Most of them opt in, but there is a rare occasion where they opt out so you just need to double check. I have found their customer service to be very good. I call the number and they helped me with whatever I need. I am a little wary of buying from private sellers on the platform, but I have done it when I have connected with them and had any email chat in advance and gotten comfortable.
I have and I had a great experience. I saved so much money. Would definitely do it again, and like some who have commented below: buy the seller. Do your research on the seller and check them out.
Yes. I wanted an unworn, stickered 116713 LN and was very happy with the process and product from a jewelry store selling through Chrono24.
I’ve also used authenticity guaranteed for Rolex and other high-end watches via eBay with great results.
Beware the duty tax when buying from another country into the U.S., however. It can be about 12% if memory serves.
Yes, I bought a Cosmograph Daytona through Chrono24. But the seller was local to me so we were able to meet.
It was an expensive watch so I wanted to have it authenticated/appraised before purchase.
Everything went well, and I would consider doing it again.
Would depend where you live, there’s a list in the rules of the sub but most are US. When I bought watches I usually spent time looking for one I like in a shop I can go in person
I bought several, but they were watches that don’t go to rep market and are under 3k. Just buy from dealers that have high ratings and you’re typically ok.
Canadian, tried to CC to a seller in the USA. Chrono rejected it without an explanation (and they say that it’s not them, it’s their verifier). Ended up using a USA payment service and all good.
Yes 3 Omegas, and 1 Grand Seiko! I would totally recommend buying from Chrono. I would stay away from private sales without box/papers for sure. Dealers are the best. Especially Japanese ones you're bound to get a good deal. I got a 5600$ watch for 3800$ that way. Hope you don't get hit by collections if you go that route hit or miss in that regard. If you're going with dealers make sure to look them up check their reviews etc. if they have hundreds to thousands of reviews that are all positive odds are you're not getting fakes. You can always return it if you think it isn't real.
Check the seller.
Buy the seller.
Often times they have a store, contact them & more often than not they'll offer a discount too as it's direct & they do not have to pay C24 fees.
Yep, got my 114060 box and papers and I’m happy with the purchase, got it private party for a good price because the caseback is engraved ‘SCHLUMBERGER.’ Apparently this is the name of an offshore drilling company, I don’t give a shit about the caseback and thought it made for a funny story to go with the watch. My only complaint is that I waited a week and a half for the watch after purchase because it was shipped USPS certified mail where they handle it at each location like it’s the ark of the covenant, though that’s an issue with the seller and not chrono24.
Dumb question but if you sell how does it work with escrow? What if the buyer claims they never received the watch? You’d just be left out in the cold as the private seller?
Bought 2 Nomos from there, no problem at all. Except had to pay an import duty on one of them so keep that in mind when buying from an international dealer.
Yes! I recently bought a 16710 GMT Master 2 from an dealer. He was selling wristwatches since 2010 and had sold over 5000 pieces. Additionally his offering had optional certification which I ordered. So the watch was checked by an watchmaker…including waterproof test, check if this watch was stolen and if all pets were authentic. Extremely pleasant experience and transparent.
Yes, do your diligence on the seller, ones with better reviews are obv better, ones with deals too good to be true just might be that, or they're trying to raise their profile. I bought from a few through chrono, and others who ended up transacting off the platform (not recommended unless you really know what you're doing), but haven't had a bad deal. There were a couple who seemed shady upfront so didn't continue with them
I watched a youtube video of a watchdealer saying that the rolex boxes delivered to the buyer are usually fake. “Hey nice watch but give me the real box, not the fake one”
Bought 2 and sold 2. All different watches. Bought from Japan too and those were great (paid like $300 import fee). Never had an issue. I think they’re great and only had good experiences with customer service as well. I think I actually spoke to someone there that was pretty important at the company one time that I called.
Not from, but through. All depends on the seller. The platform has a good buyers protection. That together with the credit card protection I'd say it is pretty good platform to use. The prices are high and usually you manage to find 15-20% cheaper through other individuals.
Purchased a 2006 omega speedmaster reduced and absolutely loved the process via chrono24. Simple easy and effective. Would buy from the buyer and the website again.
Yes I bought my Tudor for them. Make sure it’s a reputable seller though. Also I suggest getting the watch from your country as you will have to pay import tax if it’s from overseas
I bought and sold on chrono24 being a private seller. No complaints here
I second this being a Grey Market Dealer , Never an issue
Do you have any tips for a first-time seller on chrono24? I'm curious how you handle shipping!
The money transfer is hold by chrono24 until both seller and buyer give green light that everything is oke. I shipped (within Europe) with a local carrier and had the package insured for the value of the watch. That was a quite expensive procedure but all was payed by the buyer.
Damn okay that's good insight. Thanks bro
What happens if the seller ships, the buyer receives and the buyer says no good?
I never ran into a situation like that, but I guess the buyer needs to sent the watch back to the seller. After the seller receives it, chrono24 will sent the money back to the buyer..
Same ive done both on high value items and had no issues
Same here, multiple purchases and never had an issue
Yes. Only problem I had was my credit card thought the purchases were fraud because they were for large amounts based in Europe. Endless loop, so I ended up doing a wire transfer
I’m buying from the states, you think there’s a problem shipping from Europe to here?
Import fees can really surprise you.
I’ve only been surprised by them being so low… Like well under 5% in most cases IIRC. You can look up the actual formula of course but it seems to be variably applied and not usually exorbitant
Don’t buy from the states. It’ll end up being more than purchasing from uk with import fees / Taxes
Buy the seller
This is it.
Agree
Yes. But check seller. Usually they have a website. I go to the website and contact the store directly to make sure everything is square.
BTW how much are the asking for that one?

It’s just a bit of silly internet humor. Seems like you can use a hug. Here, collect your free hug 🤗
Click the picture next time doofus the price is right there.
lol just take the L, laugh at yourself, and move on. It’s not that serious.
Bro thinks he cooked with this one🔥🔥🔥

I bought an Air King from a dealer on Chrono24. The experience was smooth and easy. We negotiated the price and everything went well
I bought a Glashütte Original through Chrono24 last year. Easy process and no issues. Just do your due diligence and research the seller a bit beforehand.
What are some thing to look out for in a seller?

Bought from chrono24. SwissWatchExpo but their store front through chrono24. No issues.

Yes
Yes, bought watch’s and have one for sale there. Never an issue. I feel very safe
Bought several watches on Chrono, good platform.
Yes, it's legit. Need to check seller's history.
Once and enjoy the watch immensely.
Yes, no particular issues as long as you use your common sense
I have found a few on chono24, I than look who sells it, find there website and buy in person in their store, usually a lot cheaper to
Yep, bought from a professional and verified brick and mortar, went well no complaints.
Yes, Grand Seiko directly from Japan. Just be wary of important costs, taxes, credit card fees you might have in your country.
Yep 3 times, always from professionals
Yep 3 times, always from professionals. Transactions were fluid
I bought my starbucks sub on Chrono with no issue, obviously depends on seller so due diligence is needed
I’ve bought and sold more than seems healthy as a private seller. Always works well enough
Yes. Check seller as stated
Nothing but good experiences using Chrono24 for both buying and selling. Have done both over a dozen times, not a single issue.
Yes, many people have
Yes, I bought a Cosmograph Daytona through Chrono24. But the seller was local to me so we were able to meet. It was an expensive watch so I wanted to have it authenticated/appraised before purchase. Everything went well, and I would consider doing it again.
Yes just buy from a legit shop
Any top 3 that come to mind?
Would depend where you live, there’s a list in the rules of the sub but most are US. When I bought watches I usually spent time looking for one I like in a shop I can go in person
Yes I bought a watch. Good process.
Add est. 10% sales tax for purchases through Chrono24 or EBay. No sales tax through private sellers direct but vetting is critical.
I bought several, but they were watches that don’t go to rep market and are under 3k. Just buy from dealers that have high ratings and you’re typically ok.
It’s legit
Canadian, tried to CC to a seller in the USA. Chrono rejected it without an explanation (and they say that it’s not them, it’s their verifier). Ended up using a USA payment service and all good.
Yes, one of the main places to reference price on watches
Chrono24 is fairly well respected.
Several, no complaints here.

Yes, explorer II 226570 from a reputable dealer. Great service.
5 watches so far, no issues at all, but I stuck to “dealers only”.
Bought a bulk on chrono. No issues on my end either
Check the seller. Buy the seller. Often times they have a store, contact them & more often than not they'll offer a discount too as it's direct & they do not have to pay C24 fees.

Yes. No problems with the watch transactions . However, I don’t like the company and will never do business there again.
Bought a couple times and never had an issue
Nope. Nobody.
Bought 2 Nomos from there, no problem at all. Except had to pay an import duty on one of them so keep that in mind when buying from an international dealer.
2 watches. Both dealers. One in Cali and one in Japan. Both experiences were great.
Bought 5 watches in last 2 years. Never a problem.

Yup bought a mint Tudor Prince date.
Bought a Tudor from a jeweler out in NJ. No issues at all.
Yeah, super easy and was very happy
I watched a youtube video of a watchdealer saying that the rolex boxes delivered to the buyer are usually fake. “Hey nice watch but give me the real box, not the fake one”
have twice both time was good

I buy and sell everything here
Bought about four watches on Chrono24. No issues. However, I think seller fees are high so sellers have to raise prices to compensate.
The website has its own certified authentication service. Is it legit?
Yes I bought my Tudor for them. Make sure it’s a reputable seller though. Also I suggest getting the watch from your country as you will have to pay import tax if it’s from overseas
What’s a couple dealers in USA that you reccomend?
I wouldn’t know as I live in Australia. See if there’s any that have traded on the site before or are part of a jewellery store
I'm pretty sure someone has considering how long they've been in business.
Nope.
Sporty does because he’s a dild n has no ad connection
