The show generally films the summer before it airs. For a long while they had the "live finales" which were filmed while the show was airing, so they'd show the top 4 in late March, film the finale immediately, then show the finale in April. They were more "live" because the general public could buy tickets to attend and filmed very close to airing.
This year, because they were worried the Hollywood union strikes would roll into other aspects (or that it would just create general problems) it seems they didn't want to leave it hanging. Instead, a few months after season 16 finished filming they brought back the girls in August of last year to fill the finale. Meanwhile, Sasha's 'live' finale has just been filmed/aired back in like April.
So when we watch the top 3 queens watch the finale and find out who wins, I'm assuming that's live or close to current time? I can't imagine filming the finale in August and waiting 8 months to find out who wins.
The queens’ reaction we saw the other day was in real time. When they film the finales, they film different endings of the final queens getting crowned so no one in attendance spoils it (which happened with I think Raven’s win in S3? Can’t remember, sometime between S2 and S4)
Then they find out when the rest of us do when the episode airs
Before the finale I was wondering if her step down outfit was going to be her almost naked or if she would have a huge, beutiful gown.
And the answer was both. She was both naked and had a huge, beautiful gown. I love her!
This look gave me the vibe of that Aphrodite painting in a massive shell (I think it is called 'Birth of Aphrodite', I am not sure lol). Sasha looks like she came from the waters and to life. It's beautiful.

Just want to say, stop comparing this look to Violet's crowning look. They all have different take and Violet's look was way back 2016 and yet, we still remember how awesome it looks.

Now i think about it. They filmed the finale in September last year, just four months after she was crowned. It must’ve been weird for her.
