Did it not come with a wall mount? Or will that not work for you?

Bodvarr

It did not

Raiine42

Interesting. The link you posted shows a wall mount is included.

Any_Cardiologist2333

Double check your box. It should have one

reptile_enthusiast_

It should lock if you tilt it all the way upright. I have the same model and haven't had any issues.

colsandersloveskfc

You’ll need to provide more details here, ryobi has sold many vacuums

Bodvarr

Happy cake day! The Pet Stick Vacuum Cleaner https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-HP-18V-Brushless-Cordless-Pet-Stick-Vacuum-Cleaner-Kit-with-4-0-Ah-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-Battery-and-Charger-PBLSV716K/319713490 I got it on Ryobi day and love it other than having to store it laying down

jasonandhiswords

I just bought this, too. It should have a wall mount in the box

RedditTTIfan

It does, but the "wall mount" is quite useless TBH. It's just a bracket that goes on the wall it doesn't let you "hang up" the vacuum or anything. It does however increase its vertical-standing stability and prevent it from tipping over. The thing is it shoudn't be necessaary. I don't even use the "mount" and vacuum stands vertically perfectly fine. Had it a year now, never an issue. Yes it definitely *would* tip over if you hit or disturbed it but if you don't do that, it'll stand upright indefinitely . Because I store mine in a corner there's virtually no possibility of knocking it over inadvertendly. Also probably since I don't have any small kids running around either, lol.

colsandersloveskfc

Thank you :) Ahh, yeah ryobi says that one is supposed to stand up by itself so they don’t have one. But a quick google search brought me to this [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Wall-Mount-Ryobi-Stick-Compatible/dp/B0CVNL53J6) listing for one. So if you have a 3D printer you could make one, or you could try finding one yourself maybe on Etsy?

junkstar23

You should return that and go get the exact same thing in the Ryobi deal days packaging. You get three batteries plus the vacuum for $199 Then you can return the batteries if you want. And boom you have the vacuum for like 80-90 bucks

Flashy_Captain_6080

That's strange, I've had 2 of these and never a problem with falling over .

Bodvarr

Is there a way to lock the side swivel?

RedditTTIfan

Just centre it and push forwards? Mine only swivels when it's tilted backwards, as in when you're vacuuming. Otherwise maybe you have a defective one or have to use the "mount" bracket thing. I don't use the wall bracket and mine has been fine as well. I just went and tried to tip it over using gentle "2 finger force" in either direction and it *rocks* back/forth but still doesn't tip over. It could reasonably be knocked over with more force or accidentally but otherwise yeah, it shouldn't go anywhere (and should stand upright) if left alone.

Bodvarr

It still swivels left and right when pushed forward on mine Maybe defective, sadly I do not have my old receipt :(

RedditTTIfan

If you selected email receipt when you bought it, you could have it in your email (this is why I *always* use the email receipt feature--both HD and DTO have it). Otherwise if you bought it at HD on a personal card\*--debit/credit card--they can actually look up when you bought it and reprint you a receipt if you bring them the same card, explain the situation, and know the approximate date you bought it on. (\*I don't think this works with gift cards since they're not registered to you and often discarded after use, though they *might* be able to find it if you still have the same gift card in your possession.) If you bought it without email receipt and paid cash...well you've kind of eliminated some modern conveniences there lol, and might be SOL on the receipt. Could try calling Ryobi, it may just be a simple fix from just a small part to buy or maybe they might send you...though talking to anyone at Ryobi these days usually involves waiting hours on hold. If you haven't discarded the wall bracket, I think just using that would be your best/easiest option.

LikeAThousandBullets

It's supposed to stand in its own, I don't really trust it around cats since it's too heavy so I always put it in the corner anyway. There's a little plastic piece in the roller head near the wheels that is supposed to make it stay in place, but it breaks very easily. I ended up writing a email to Ryobi support (chat and phone didn't work, they wanted me to send them the whole vacuum for repair), giving the part numbers and serial numbers and that my vacuum is defective because it broke. I worded it like "the unit is defective because it does not stand up on its own as it is advertised to do" and requested a new roller head, they ended up sending me an entirely new kit. A whole new vacuum, battery, and charger and said to keep the old one.

Bodvarr

Mind shooting me over your boiler plate email in pms and I'll just use that? I think I have the same problem with that little plastic piece breaking

LikeAThousandBullets

check pm. I forgot to mention before I had another problem with it that turns out was just me not putting it back together right, so not sure if that affected it. register the vacuum online and upload the receipt and then I sent the message through the contact us form, not the text chat. The only back and forth I had was them asking for me receipt, I sent it, and they said they'd send me a replacement This was after being denied by phone and by text chat a few months ago. I wonder if directly asking for a replacement helps.

harryt717

I had this happen recently. Vacuum was standing just fine by itself for months. Then after a session of vacuuming, I go to stand it back in the corner and it just falls over. Turns out the little plastic tab broke off somehow. So now I just lean it against the wall.

Fncivueen

I have the same problem. I kept the box that it came in to store it, when not in use. Got tired of my Dyson, and switched to Ryobi since I must have 10 to 15 batteries

justmrmom

I have the same issue. It kept falling. Now I just store it upright and on the floor.
