I often find that creating multiple versions of the same post leads to lower participation

I remember the Youtuber Mrwhosetheboss created a video about this, only he also tried to return an iPhone to see which service is better. It was Apple. Might be a good resource for you? Hopefully it helps. He had a similar experience to you.

> How can Samsung get away with this, and what should I do next? Realistically, what are you going to do? Sue them? Likely more stress and work than just eating the cost. So they just keep doing this, because they get away with it. On what you should do next... don't buy from Samsung again I guess? Voting with your wallet is your only option as a normal consumer.

Amazing_Emergency_69

I would sue them.

Alert-Car9971

It depends which country you are in. I'm from Singapore and Samsung service center here are good. My Galaxy buds 2 pro was replaced free when out of warranty, my Fold 4 sent to service center twice to replace battery, big screen and casing twice for FOC with Samsung care+. I was amazed by their services and all were done in 2-3 days.

Franc_Kaos

In the UK you can contact an ombudsman and I'm pretty sure the rest of Europe take their 2 year warranty extremely seriously so contact whatever version of consumer protection your country offers. Once an organisation gets involved the companies usually suddenly manage to offer better services to the complainants. Tho' here in the UK I'd rather get electronic cover insurance from a firm specialising in that rather than pay a company who's interests in you evaporate as soon as the cheque clears (Apple not withstanding - and I own a Samsung TV, phone, watch & tablet :). https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/get-more-help/how-to-use-an-ombudsman-in-england/

morris0000007

I've used my care + in Australia and it was awesome. Blown away how good the whole service was.

Gadeol

I don’t even use samsung care but I only have the best experience with samsung customer service; when my old flagship phone started acting up after almost two years of heavy use (it started randomly turning off), they changed the motherboard and some other components and i had my phone back within a few days.

Sp3lllz

I think it depends on the country, in the UK Samsung Care+ is run by assurant I havent had to claim personally but my step dad did for his flip 3 when the screen gave in and they just sent him a completely new one didn't bother with repair whole thing was done within 3 or 4 days from filing the claim

Severe_Flow5953

In all honesty if your tech savvy your probably just better fixing things yourself than dealing with Samsung Care.

bjornofosaka

I cant even make a claim for my tablet or schedule a repair. If you select request repair it sends you back tu the suppory page over and over! They just want to take your money and never provide any care. Scam. I have to switch to apple or Google

Adventurous-Win8636

Just to update everyone. I have not received my device. They reply to my tweets and emails. 1 It is in processing 2 They don't have parts 3 Some XYZ reason. So ECC told me that they work across Europe like if the seller is from another EU country. I don't know German equivalent which is free and can file case against them. I have taken a law insurance but it has 3 months cooling period.

Keep-Left

standard samsung. if you want good support, buy an iPhone.

DoJu318

Sad but true, and the only apple device I own is an iPad so im not a shill, but we see it time and time again in this sub, Samsung support after you purchased a device is austere at best.

False-Consequence973

And if you want a better phone, buy a samsung flagship. So if support is more important to you, sure go ahead.

I had great service messaging samsung chat when they said my trade in had a crack and were going to back charge me for it. (They cracked it, probably in the vice thing they put them in to inspect it.) I told them I had pics of it from the day before it was shipped, in perfect condition and they removed the fee right away. I'm in the US and here we have the BBB and the FCC or FTC for things like this. What country are you in? I'd try their chat again and ask them to escalate your problem, next leave a bad review on THEIR site, then on Google, in that order.

Terminator7786

The BBB is not a government entity and holds absolutely no legal sway whatsoever, they cannot be relied on.

Dez2011

Correct. The report goes to the company that was complained about though and they'll often fix the problem then.

Mrpikster00

Done with samsung phones myself.. zfold 4 and it will not lay flat.. it's a known issue and they said it's gonna cost ya.. fuk dat.. never again..
