Lucky that you have 12GB/256GB variant. In my country, only 8GB/256GB variant available.
But what I can say was it was a huge upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy A50 which serves me well for 5 years. But A50 was showing its age already, it struggles with some applications and battery drains so quick like it loses 10% to 15% overnight and drains quickly while using it.
With A55, the battery is good and it handles multitasking with ease, despite of it being 8GB/256GB Variant only.
The good thing is that I got Galaxy Buds FE and 25 watt charger as freebies.
In my country they have 12/256 and 8/128,I wanted the A55 to last atleast 5 years so I wanted more storage without buying an SD card and enough RAM for the future.
I'm not a heavy gamer,so I have no idea. The phone did get quite hot when I played a few small games on it,likely just the phone not fully optimized yet.But the 1480 should be able to take on Genshin Impact or something like that.

I've only got the 8/128 variant available in Australia.
