My woman is what you'd call a "biggun" and I was wondering which restaurant gives the most pounds of fried rice for your dollar thank you.
Charles Barkley actually apologized to San Antonio women though, because he tried churros and it was really good.
Definitely do so. The outside looks like it was hit by a tornado, the inside looks like they forgot to pay the light bill. It was packed during lunch and the portion of food fed me for two meals.
I’ve been back since and they definitely make up for their poor appearance with their taste and portions.
I've been going to lees kitchen for over twenty years. Eaten at all three locations I know of. But the last time I ate there(Tezel location) they didn't have their normal egg rolls and it ruined the experience for me
+1
My wife and I hadn't been in a while but got takeout recently. We both got an entree but could have split one, and it would have been more than enough.
I think its great. I like the crispy, spicy, numbing chicken and the tribute to grandma steamed buns. Plus a large rice is like 4 days of rice.
protip - reheat cold rice in a strainer with hot water. it gets fluffy again. better than microwave.
The two that run the place are friends of mine, they’re extremely awesome people. I used to run a bar near them and we worked together a ton, they always went out of their way to build up other local businesses near them, was really great. I really encourage everyone to go support them.
Oh yeah, and their portions are really generous.
Pretty cheap compared to everything else around here and tastier and bigger portions. I’m always open to suggestion for new places around here in 281 and Evans.
Man, we’ve always wanted to try that place. Every time we go to the Ross next door we can smell its amazing aromas. Will definitely try it soon. Thanks.
Don’t mind me, I’m getting rapidly cheaper as I get older :) My whole family likes T Jins! I just think $12 for basic fried rice is silly when you can get a pizza for same or less, I’m making that at home then!
In two years of living here and trying about 7 places, Lee's Kitchen has been pretty good on taste and large portions.
I know there's two, I've only eaten at the one on Kitty Hawk.
Asking the real questions. God bless you op.
On the south side it used to be tai sun but they turned crappy and went out of business.
China Rose on the southside. My girlfriend calls it china roach.
Just go to Wen Wah on New Braunfels, cheap as dirt and tastes like it too. San Antonio has some of the worst Chinese I have ever had in my life, it's incredible.
Idk why I’m getting down voted they have the best pork fried rice. And the serving is huge, easily enough for 2-3 people. (Never taken Togo) but wouldn’t see why you wouldn’t get the same portion. If it’s too pricey for you there’s no need to down vote brokie’zzz.
The most San Antonio question, ever.
Charles Barkley would agree

Hahahaha wow - idk if that’s true but I’m just going to continue living life assuming that it is
Totally is lmao you can see the apology on YouTube. It was on the sport show he was on with shack ad the other 3 sports casters

China star. Tastes good, enormous portions. The place looks terrible, but the food it great. Entree, appetizer, and a side for about $7 at lunch.
And they also had good scores given by Kitchen Cops! https://tx.healthinspections.us/san%20antonio/estab.cfm?licenseID=5751

The best food is at the sketchiest places.
Yes
I second this
Yep, China Star! Looks sketch AF but great hole in the wall
Lee’s kitchen. Pretty much a meal for two for like $10
I second this. Their pork fried rice is magnanimous.
Got dinner from there last night. I was totally full and didn't even look like I touched the plate
lees kitchen by far is my absolute fav, they do have crazy portions
I agree as well! Large portion for the price
It’s actually insane, totally recommend Lee’s
I've been going to lees kitchen for over twenty years. Eaten at all three locations I know of. But the last time I ate there(Tezel location) they didn't have their normal egg rolls and it ruined the experience for me

Found a roach in our shrimp fried rice like 2 weeks ago 😭 I can't eat there anymore.
La Chinitas
Right down the street from there, Beijing Express has enormous plates as well
Kong's Express on the westside. Good, reasonable prices, always have leftovers for later.

Lee's kitchen.
Kings Bowl at Babcock/Huebner for sure.
Comically bad drive-thru speaker but very consistent with solid dinner portions. I usually get the moo goo gai pan.
dashi
Is it good? What's your favorite thing?
I think its great. I like the crispy, spicy, numbing chicken and the tribute to grandma steamed buns. Plus a large rice is like 4 days of rice. protip - reheat cold rice in a strainer with hot water. it gets fluffy again. better than microwave.
I love spice.
They got dim sum?!
Agreed - that’s my favorite - very close second is Jalepeno pork.. sooooo good!

T Jin China
Overrated / overpriced, IMO.
Pretty cheap compared to everything else around here and tastier and bigger portions. I’m always open to suggestion for new places around here in 281 and Evans.
I love Sizzling Wok at 1604/281
Man, we’ve always wanted to try that place. Every time we go to the Ross next door we can smell its amazing aromas. Will definitely try it soon. Thanks.
another vote for Sizzling Wok from me. they’ve got a great teriyaki chicken bowl for like $6, i think… it’s my go to!
Try Wok Inn acrosd the highway. Huge portions and specials daily
Always drive by it and never thought about stopping there. Maybe I’ll try it next week. Thanks!
Don’t mind me, I’m getting rapidly cheaper as I get older :) My whole family likes T Jins! I just think $12 for basic fried rice is silly when you can get a pizza for same or less, I’m making that at home then!
T Jins is one of the best chinese places in town. The dinner portions are enough for 2 meals.
Has to be Lee's kitchen. I get 3 meals out of it usually.

China Star for sure
Panda inn on harry wurzbach
That one Chinese restaurant at North Star
April’s
Asking the real questions. God bless you op. On the south side it used to be tai sun but they turned crappy and went out of business. China Rose on the southside. My girlfriend calls it china roach.

South China

Golden Wok
You want quantity or quality?? Because you can't get both...
Quality over quantity
Why not both, by going to Kung Fu Noodle?
I can do both. If I had to choose, I would choose quality
Quality over quantity 😬😬
Best quality daughter
