Na bring up na rin yan sa X even before Pagtatag and napagkasunduan ng karamihan na wag na lang since: - Prone to mistranslations & misunderstandings pag di fluent/marunong kahit papano sa Chinese makikipag socialize dun. For example, yung 'SB' sa SB19 pa nga lang, may bad meaning na pala sa kanila. That's why 'SoundBreak19' ang ginamit ng Chinese a'tin dun para sa Weibo community nila😅 (Although after GENTO, parang nafamiliarize na rin naman kahit papano na 'SB19' is a PPOP group name, not some kind of a curse/bad word) There's also another incident last yr na some PH a'tin tried to help trend there and they mistakenly used hashtags na sinasabing cheaters ang SB19. Basta lang nila ginamit yung ht kasi may 'SB19', not knowing na pa-trend pala yun ng mga Chinese carats after BBFA. Anyway, so they decided na A'tin China & HK na lang talaga ang bahala. Sa X lang yun though, so if meron dito na fluent sa Chinese or may alam na paraan na safely makapag-navigate sa Weibo, baka pwede naman i-try

Mas maganda siguro if ang magstart ay yung fluent sa Chinese na foreign A'tin or Filipino na nakabase sa China. Ikaw ba pag nakakita ka ng foreign group na nagpopromote sa language mo then you check it out pero puro google translate lang naman pala nakapost, di ba parang off and may cringe factor. Tsaka prone to misunderstandings pa. Lalo na di pa totally accurate ang mga online translation and then you have context and nuances to consider pa. In my opinion, ang mas maitutulong natin is English Translation ng mga contents nila. Although dadaan pa sa another language, I think mas accurate pa to kesa deretchong machine translated and at least mae-ensure natin na ok yung english translation. Marami pa kasi sa contents nila ay not english translated or minsan mali-mali kahit official subs pa.

alone_butneverlonely

Sameee sentiment, if ever may English subs team here, count me in. I can help 🥹

No, let's leave it to the native speakers. Mahirap na

Na-topic na yan sa X before during Gento viral era, maraming nagka-interest na c-netz specially in Weibo and marami din A'TIN ang nahikayat na why not create an account to promote the boys. But fanbases decided na ipaubaya na sa mga A'TIN who can understand and write the language. (mostly may bg na talaga, doon nakatira or someone who understand the culture) Mahirap kasi magka-misinterptetation even though we mean well as a fan. Hopefully, Moonlight will be a big success worldwide, in terms of streams, recognition, ROI and virality.

Here’s the weibo super talk page for SB19: https://weibo.com/p/100808612b84de3d27c988effdfac2cc8421d6 Meron ding individual super talk page ung bawat member but super onti na lang ng followings non and not as active as the main esbi super talk page. If may weibo account kayo pwede din kayo engage by liking or pwede rin magpost and comment there. Pero ung Chinese A’tin are very friendly and they seem to be very happy na makipag-interact with the Pinoy A’tins. So I think good start na din na sa super talk ng esbi muna for now and gawing mas active ung community there.

FillHappy4129

Nag search ako online and marami ring may same problem as me.

PenguinDiplomat

Naging problem ko din yan. Di ako makalogin for months. Pero may lumang account naman na ko. Tas bigla akong nakalogin one time.

FillHappy4129

May old account din ako e kaso nakalimutan ko yung password haha sayang kainis.

Chinese fans are one of the most passionate and dedicated fans in the world. Like us Filos, grabe din sila sumuporta. So if SB19 able to build their fanbase their, hindi na gano'n kahirap mapasok ang Western and other territories. So, it's a good idea to start Weibo accounts.

Momshie_mo

There should at least be a Chinoy in the fandom who can read/write Mandarin. Or if may willing mag-aral ng Mandarin.

Miserable_Gazelle934

Pwede ka gumawa ngstan account for Weibo but SB19 official has to make their own to be recognize as the owner of the said page. Edit: Last tags ng boys sa Weibo is back in 2023 ng kasagsagan ng Gento until December. Walang traction ng 2024. Yung tags nila umabot ng 24+million ng #SB19#

SBTC_Strays_2002

I'm thinking maybe start with us, and lay a base. Then the opisyal side can come in and register. I was really surprised by all the Weibo tags and nicknames they had haha. The seed is planted, we just need to give it attention.

blkwdw222

I also forgot Douyin. Their whole page can be google translated and navigated easily unlike Weibo. They already have the moonlight and gento in Douyin.

SBTC_Strays_2002

I'm gonna look into that when I get some downtime. Oh boy, I might get some weird looks at school with all Chinese characters on screen haha

Guuysss. Just let CNetz do their part if they really wanna grow and support PPOP. Let them do it in their own terms din. CNetz fans and local rules can be very volatile. So just let them be. Iba ang sumpong ng CNetz and CCP rules if u get on their bad side. Try to look up how they canceled BlackPink Lisa over the CrazyHorse performance, pati yung mga CN celebs who just watched to support Lisa, nadamay. They lost millions in revenue. BP Lisa can survive losing that market, pero it will not be the same for PPOP artists. Just to give more context, whenever magflare up ang JPN-CCP relations, some OA citizens report and jail anime cosplayers, burn down Japanese restos, and Japan-made cars kahit na mga Chinese citizens ang may-ari. So it's really a very volatile market. Yes, PH soft power can help ease international relations pero dapat may mutually beneficial deals between PH and CN market. In the case of BINI, hindi sila pwede magexpress ng LGBTQ ally advocacy sa CN kasi guess what, bawal yun sa Mainland. Icecensor or much worse ibaban ka dun. Also, dahil laganap ang piracy sa CN, just bcoz widely-circulated ang isang song, video or IP (intellectual property) doesn't mean the og artist or brand will be paid due rights. Gento went viral last yr pero I doubt the boys were paid their dues. So anyway, I'm not saying we gatekeep from the CN market pero just let it grow organically in their own terms. Wag na kayo gumawa ng Weibo, Bilibili or Douyin kasi macocompromise lang data security and privacy nyo.
