Scammer payback also does similar stuff, but their pieces are a lot more thorough. They sometimes even show the real names and IDs of the scammers. And the people being exposed in those videos sound just like the dude that's losing his shit here.
I'm from India and it's not extreme poverty or anything. If they can use a computer and speak in English, they can easily make an honest living, better than 70-80% of the country. These people are just POSs

Lots of scammers are human trafficked into the business. Either that, or they’re tricked into getting a job and then are captured and forced to scam. I don’t know exactly how many, but I’m pretty sure that it’s actually the majority of scammers in this position.
Other thing they do is request a refund on the card to get the money credited directly to them, makes it harder to track where they money has gone from the victims account if it’s spent on gift cards and Google play puts the money in the scammers account for the “refund”
Gift cards are not traceable and generally globally accepted which makes them highly sought after by scammers who resell the codes at a discount.
Essentially making money for nothing by taking advantage of the elderly and vulnerable.
It’s a scam done a large scale by Pakistan and Indian pop up call centres where they have a large workforce, cheap tech set up and refined well practiced scripts to brute force call hundreds of thousands of people a day to try their luck.
I can't remember if it I this one, but he tricks the guy by saying he is going to the shop to buy some cards, and strings the scammer along for ages.
One of them he pretends his car gets surrounded by Christmas carolers, and they are closing in on him from all side, he keeps turning the music up.
Every minute he keeps a scammer busy, is one less minute they have to scam people too stupid for their own safety.
He's almost certainly been fucked with for hours, if not days, and it's probably the equivalent of several months pay cheques.
They are scum though, and fully deserve it, just to be clear.

He doesn't ruin there lives he scams them out of a couple hundred dollars. It's hardly worse than some subscription services that charge for a free service with a different UI. Although I'm not saying you shouldn't fuck them over where possible.
This guy is the master of wasting as much time as possible at every stage of the scam and then slowly ripping away all hopes of getting any money. For context I believe the green timer is counting the total time wasted.
I recall showing Kitgoba to my gf and we were laughing both of our asses off. Then one day we were visiting her Indian descent coworker and she randomly brought up “some funny videos we were watching” and my thinking was never that fast to divert the conversation.

The best part was that he was able to simulate connection problems to the scammer's remote control software so when he was frantically trying to click Close and Cancel, it wouldn't do anything.
Kitboga is not bad, but I prefer Scam Sandwich on YT. Scam Sandwich takes it a bit further and drags the scammers along for a wild ride while pretending to be a grandma and for an hour or more, erases their files, exposes the scammers names, approx location and then nukes their PC. It's absolute madness!
They each seem to have their lane, each having their pros and cons. Scam will string them along for a couple hours while getting their info, and then he usually.reveals himself which ends the charade. Kitboga here tries not to reveal himself so he can take as much time as possible stringing these guys along. Then there's Scammer Payback who doesn't hardly do the charade at all because he's really good with his team at getting info, but him and his team can shut down entire call centers. So each of them messes with the scammers in their own way, and they're each effective one way or another.

No, you just read an online article that said that people are sometimes forced into these scam jobs and you concluded that most scammers are doing it because they are forced to. That is not at all accurate, the vast majority of these people are just scumbags who do it because it's easy money.
If you watch some of these scambait videos, the anti scammers sometimes manage to gain access to camera devices on the scammers' networks and it shows you that these people work in regular office buildings. Exactly like a regular call center, except they spend all day scamming poor elderly people out of their life savings.
