Later I learn about his wife, an "actress " that none outside America knows, and start to understand...
Is it at all possible that they just have like an open relationship? Those exist. Where two people are together but both of them still have sex with other people.
I think Will is just really messed up from his own childhood. His own father was a right pos; a violent alcoholic who terrorised the Smith family. Will recounts in his autobiography instances where his father assaulted his mother, and that he still feels guilt over having done nothing to stop the violence (which, of course, he wasn't in a position to being just a kid at the time).
Not wanting to ever turn into his father coupled with his guilt over "having let it happen", Will turned into an absolute doormat as a husband, letting Jada do whatever (and whoever) she wants.
It's pretty sad seeing as Will does come across as a pretty decent sort and obviously has the money to get proper therapy. Yet he has allowed himself to be well and truly cucked.
