In my not so humble opinion, this is one of the greatest songs of all time. Not from a specific genre, but among all songs, ever.
Which of course means I also think it’s among the greatest shoegaze songs ever as well.
I don't know if Curve is considered Shoegaze, but I like them as much as Lush.

Doppelgänger is so damned good. My entry point was the "Horror Head" video. Toni for the win.

Curve is pretty highly regarded here. Their pre-Doppelgänger stuff is the most shoegaziest but Cuckoo is my favorite!
Cuckoo for the win! One of the best albums of all time in my opinion
They definitely have shoegaze cred. Alan Moulder was heavily involved in their music and is one of the biggest figures in the genre.
