I would say the NBA.com article [on the MVP leaderboard after the game](https://www.nba.com/news/kia-mvp-ladder-feb-3-2023-edition) summed up what we thought about the writers.
> But in the words of the great Kevin Durant, coach Doc Rivers served as “the real MVP” Saturday for an adjustment that wreaked havoc in the second half of Philadelphia’s 126-119 win against the Denver Nuggets.
“Listen, Joel was phenomenal,” the coach said. “He had 47 points. But we don’t win the game if P.J. Tucker doesn’t play.”
To me, it just seemed like a complete discredit on Embiid’s performance because the Nuggets game from last year was a factor in putting Jokic over the top. This year, it isn’t because “Embiid didn’t lock down Jokic, pJ tUcKeR dId.” Don’t get me wrong, he played fantastic, but this was a cop-out to blow off any movement in the ladder. Embiid was significantly better that game and last March, but because a 37 year old helped lock down Jokic, suddenly the gap in performance isn’t as large (as if that isn’t worse).
Biggest W of the season so proud of this team
I would say the Nuggets was a better-feeling win, but this is a close second! I would say it is more impressive though.
Yeah the nuggets win was the most cathartic thing for me and I believe this team.
[Let’s watch that dagger three again](https://youtu.be/cTBvLimECv0)
Damn gotta change my pants
That was great bc Embiid cooked Jokic during the peak of that media MVP debate … Jokic still probably MVP tho he’s insane lmfao
Nuggets game was great. Cathartic is the perfect word. Jokic is so fraudulent

The look of defeat!! Hahahaha
No lead is safe in the NBA/it apparently isn't just a Doc thing... I fucking love this comeback!
We scored 56 points in 14:34
This is absolutely beautiful… TTP …
Dude that does not even seem real in a video game on rookie
Call an ambulance... but not for us.
So this is what it feels like to be on the other side of one of these!
LFG
They get a statement win over the Bucks every year. Best thing is no Apple News headlines saying “NBA Twitter thrilled by Bucks win over the 76ers.”
Biggest moral victory of the year, and definitely shuts down the pissy attitude people had after those 2 recent losses
i feel like this past week has been full of biggest W of the season
Flipped the switch 😤
Not that Philly needed any proof, but there it is
