Wait that's actually pretty genius for survival since you can't fast travel. I wish I would've thought of that. I don't get enthralled when I sleep anymore so I guess I already passed that point in the quest.
I’m pretty sure it sends you to a random stone so it can be quite unreliable, but I did this to get to miraks temple a bunch. sleep, see where you ended up, tp back to raven rock and repeat until you’re at the temple. usually saves navigating up the hill and stuff
I remember years ago I used this as a trick to find each of the stones before the quest to get markers for them.
