All npcs are player sexual so they will all accept you.

mamacitacc

thank you for the reassurance

Pinecone_Erleichda

I’m a woman, and quite a few of my characters have married women, but Jenassa is definitely my fave wife!! She’s a badass, she’s beautiful, she’s charming, and she doesn’t snitch about crimes. 🤣 Perfection!

There-Could-Be-Love

Mjoll the lioness is a lesbian in my mind. Besides that, she doesn't complain about any of the houses she lives in (unlike Aela). As a pan woman, I like big muscular women.

mamacitacc

so wait if i play as a woman .... can i marry a woman ????

There-Could-Be-Love

Yes!!!!

mamacitacc

wow i just assumed that wasn't possible im shocked

Steve12345678911

But Mjoll will cheat on you with Aerin, personally I would go with Borgakh.

RaspberryRock

LOL so who you thinking now? I've always been drawn to Muiri in Markarth.

mamacitacc

well now i have no clue! this is my first time playing anything beyond the basic version of the game and its sooo much more expansive. i'll probbly look up a list online or something. i'm taking this playthrough slow so i haven't even gotten the offer from anyone yet

RaspberryRock

You need the Amulet of Mara. You can buy one at the Temple in Riften.

mamacitacc

i need to wear that when interacting w the NPCs?

RaspberryRock

Yes. When you're wearing it, a new dialogue option will pop up if the person is marriage-able.

ArmakanAmunRa

Like in every RPG the potential spouses are attracted to the player despite the gender you chose. My favourite spouses would be Njada Stone-Arm from the companions and Mjoll the Lioness(though you should take care of Aerin or he will be third wheeling forever)

My top 3 are: Sylgja, a Nord miner at Shors Stone. She’s just a good person who cares about her parents who are at another mine. She’s a hard worker and just a wholesome person. Her mother is a former adventurer who thinks her husband is too boring. You can recruit her mother as a steward so they can live together. Senna is a Breton Dibellan Priestess. My character is also a Dibellan worshiper (my characters mother was a Dibellan acolyte in her youth). She’s the only one with the Sultry voice type. “Take the world by storm dearest”. Downside: unless if you pickpocket her hood or use console commands- you can’t fully see her face. Borgakh the Steel Heart. An orc who can also be a follower. She wants to live her own life but feels entrapped to the traditions of Orsimer folk. You can convince her to make her own life, or pay her dowry. She’ll admit to being in love with you if you wear the amulet of Mara. If I’m not married to her, I recruit her into The Blades.

I tend to marry the same woman every time. In shor's stone, there's a woman named Sylgia, a Worker of the Red belly mine. She recently took a spill and injured her back, making her unable to work, and unable to get letters to her parents in dark water crossing. So, meeting her, she'll ask you to kindly deliver these letters to her mother and father. It's a pretty short walk, and a pretty small quest in general. Delivering them, you'll meet her father, and her mother. A woman named Annakke. Deliver the letters to her father, and deliver her father's letters to her. Following this, Sylgia is now open for marriage. So, when I first met her, it was mostly empathy? She couldn't work because of her injuries and I felt bad for her. My daughter's (Lucia and Sofie) needed a mother while I was away so it just worked out. Following this, however, Annakke asked me to clear some bandits for her. She used to be an adventurer herself and missed the action, but because of her family she was unable to go out anymore. So, clear the bandits for her (a randomly generated bandit stronghold somewhere in Skyrim, for me it ended up being out in the Reach, I think) and now Annakke becomes a potential follower. So, I recruiter her, and brought her to my home in Falkreath, wherein I made her my steward. Now, not only do my girls have a mother, but even they're Grandmother with them as well! As well as Sylgia being able to spend time with the mother she wasn't able to really see before. Now, it may sound kinda silly but I always feel that little bit of Extra comfort abandoning my children to adventure, knowing they have their mother And Grandmother in the same home taking care of them. But hey, that's just me

I like the two marriage options from the college of Winterhold (Brelyna and Onmund).

HamuraiSnack420

I married the hunt so i have no time to waste(in game opinion)
