WiseMudskipper

Yngvild. Nordic ruin in the very far north containing a necromancer and his harem of enslaved ghost women.

Clean_Crocodile4472

Is that the one where you fall into the cage? I remember finding that years ago early in my first playthrough never found it since though

Traditional_Box_6724

That one is called Rannveig's Fast.

Sunhating101hateit

The one where the trap door is just before a shout wall? No, that one is west of Labyrithion and roughly south of Morthal

blondie_nerd

Just finished this area yesterday. Gross for sure.

Not-All-That-Odd

The spiders dropping down out of a hole in the ceiling. Absolute nightmare fuel.

AlbiTuri05

Without Spiders No More, I refuse to play. Especially the Jurgen Windcaller quest, that's some insane sadic shit.

FeckinMarvellous

I usually use the Piderman mod. Hilarious

Not-All-That-Odd

What does that do?

FeckinMarvellous

Turns frostbite spiders into weird spiderman

Not-All-That-Odd

Fair enough

terrajules

When they fall into the water with me in Darkfall I wanna curl up and cry lol

Not-All-That-Odd

I despise that cave anyway lol

With-best-regards

YES

TonyTheEvil

I religiously use Aura Whisper largely due to these.

Not-All-That-Odd

I've never really used it. Probably should.

Desperate-Actuator18

The Chaurus get bigger in the deeper tunnels where we don't go. The biggest one we face is in Frostflow, the [largest](https://reddit.com/r/skyrim/s/tUuY9w0Ope) one we've seen was used for structural support. They get far larger where the Falmer roam unimpeded beyond Blackreach and beyond all those collapsed passages in Dwemer ruins.

Certain_Effort_9319

Right well that’s me hoping I don’t get isekai’d into Skyrim. Bastard.

crumsb1371

Getting in the coffin with the night mother.

Rondesu

Ingun Blackbriar. Chat with her at Elgrin's Elixirs in Riften sometime.

SlugsnSnails25

Swimming in the water lol. I've never liked going into the water in any games (like ark, raft, literally any game where there's a large body of water) but I feel very strongly about it in Skyrim because the water is very dark and it's a little hard to see stuff. And yes, I absolutely *despise* Narfi's quest. Aquaphobia is so nice, isn't it?

MK5

I've always wished there could be sea life in Skyrim. Sadly, mods to include always seem to be buggy. Nothing nasty..neccessarily. Something like Basking Sharks; big, intimidating looking..and totally harmless. They could scare the crap out of you, looming out there in the dark water, but not actually be a threat.

cancini

Wanna play subnautica?

SlugsnSnails25

People ask me that all the time, I can't even watch other people play subnautica 🥲

mrsmunsonbarnes

Not to mention the Slaughterfish constantly trying to nibble on you

ParthenopeIG

Ironman4234Exe

“Thiiissss iiiiiisss Hermaaaaauuusss morrrrraaaa!”

ParthenopeIG

*moves camera away* "yeah, im totally listening to you!!"

ScaredMyOrdinaryGoat

Tentacle guy? Herma Mora? I love his gameplay implications in Skyrim. Also his lore and look is so eldritch abomination

Ineffable_Confusion

The noises that Falmer make

chuckdooley

Obvious choice, but the Morthal/Helgi quest…when you have to find “her” in the coffin and she says Lalette wants to play too Always creeps me out, or the concept…I’ve done it enough times now that it doesn’t really affect me as much

Hguols1

Viola Giordano is creepy to me. Nothing wrong with her pursuing Captain Lonely-Gale, but after some time spent in Candlehearth Hall, I noticed she was after him constantly. He'd tell her it was too soon since losing his wife, and she'd accept that, then not even a few minutes later she'd be asking him again. I'm paraphrasing here, but it was definitely the impression of Her: "You over your dead wife yet?" Him: "No, I'm not." Her: "Ok." Her: ... Her: "So... You over your dead wife yet?"

Nazeem_Wintersand

Disgusting peasants who don’t get to the cloud district very often.

IRegretThisUserNam3

SHUT UP NAZEEM

Nazeem_Wintersand

Do *you* get to the cloud district very often? Oh, what am I saying… Peasant.

IRegretThisUserNam3

Do YOU slay Alduin very often? Oh, what am I saying…? of course you don’t.

Nazeem_Wintersand

I actually advise the Jarl on political matters. My input is invaluable, of course. But this is all probably a bit over your head.

IRegretThisUserNam3

Alright, you win. Get this guy an Oscar and a job at Bethesda.

hexokinase6_6_6

The torture victims when you take over the Dark Brotherhood. I only recently tried talking to them - they each have a hidden treasure you can pry out of them, but if you to back a second time, you find three of them are all in agony, and ONE is faking it! That last one made me jump in my seat.

blondie_nerd

This also grossed me out. I killed them all to put them out of their misery.

hexokinase6_6_6

That is why I went back a second time! Felt bad. Then found out one was faking agony. Some kind of seasoned spy used to torture. I realized this game will never stop surprising me ha ha

blondie_nerd

Interesting! I should have talked to them more first. This game is so full of details.

stormyw23

The cittering black insects that the falmer keep as pets, I hate them, I hate that noise.

Pinecone_Erleichda

This is the comment I was looking for. Yes to this, that noise gives me the creepy shivers.

stormyw23

I don't fear bugs, I like insects in real life and just that sound... The sound! Icky

Pinecone_Erleichda

I don’t particularly like insects, but I also don’t think any actually make that sound (loud enough for a human ear to process, I mean). It just sounds so…idk, sticky?

stormyw23

the clicking too, There are plenty of insects that make noise though crickets? Cicadas...

Pinecone_Erleichda

Okay what are the odds you’d mention the one insect I actually am terrified of?! But cicadas are alright. Just…messy.

stormyw23

Sorry I was tempted to share my abundance of knowledge of crickets just to be mean but I'll be nice, Hey there is this really cool insect where I live called "Weta" look it up its great! Seriously don't if you're afraid of crickets weta probably are horrific to you.

Pinecone_Erleichda

My friends literally won’t type “the c word” bc I don’t even like seeing it written down, soooo…bye!

stormyw23

its understandable, If it makes you any better I'm afraid of wasps.

Pinecone_Erleichda

You…should be? lol that is a normal, healthy thing to fear. That’s like saying “I’m afraid of bears”, like…yes, that is a wise choice.

Pinecone_Erleichda

Know anything about mantises, by any chance?

TheNightZerk

They can also start eating Dragonborn if you die to them.

Bounciere

Im the opposite, absolutely hate insects irl, but insects in games, tv, comics etc i adore. I hate spiders, but show me a Arachnid like creature in fiction and i fall in love lol

ScaredMyOrdinaryGoat

But Chaurus pie 🤤

bush_will02

The FALMER bro especially if one sneaks up out of their crawly thing even after you checked to see if it would trigger

__MilkDrinker__

The animation for children playing with dolls is deeply unsettling imo

AlbiTuri05

I find it cute

blondie_nerd

Them playing with swords is worse.

NotRyuuya

Eating any Alchemy Ingredient is considered normal xD

infinitynull

Enjoying my human flesh and large antler sandwich over here.

Browncoat86

Garnished with an unwashed Giants toe!

Fast-Conclusion450

Nothing; I have no fear shameful milk drinkers.

Delco74

Used to sneak through every ruin and dungeon waiting for something to come out of nowhere. Now…..overpowered and just run in and kill everything. Pop an Ultimate Healing potion if needed and keep on rolling. I don’t mess with minor healing or standard healing potions anymore.

crumsb1371

I hoard them all. My true level is the number of potions I never use.

homeoforiginalsin

My entire first playthrough I went through the entirety of every dungeon with my bow drawn, just in case something popped out at me (it was my first video game and I was absolutely terrified the whole time)

Werewolfnightwalker

That one Thalmor guy in Markarth, Ondolemar, has a completely unique mouth. As in, no other PC in the game has the same mouth design, and it's not one you can pick in character creation. I just... Why???

Here4DaPorno

Those goddamn bats in Bleak Falls Barrow scared me out of my breakfast once.

EvilDeb78

Oh yeah, one more thing. The fog in Soverngarde. The thought of being lost in a thick fog, alone and confused, for the rest of eternity, fills me with existential dread.

FabAraujoRJ

The fog is not Sovngard, it's caused by that damn dragon Alduin.

HappyArkAn

The community eating human meat..... Brrr...

ownagemountain

I’ve been playing since release, and I still get a little creeped out just walking around in the wilderness exploring. I know that’s a huge part of the game haha, but it can certainly be unsettling. Playing without music makes it even more so.

No-Log-9379

Now that you mention it, I’ve never played Skyrim without music (too good to actually think of turning it off) but I’ll give it a try

ownagemountain

Oh yes, I agree! Music is amazing! But ya it does add a different element for sure!

Kroggol

The doors to the Dark Brotherhood sanctuaries. *Sillence, my brother.*

DACAR1010

spiders I have aragnophobia

Pandy_45

The 🐀way and how easy it is to get lost in there without a torch. No thank you.

roota_bayga

The Dwarven Centurion.

EvilDeb78

The Soul Cairn. Everything about it. I remember my first time there, before I figured out you had to eat the soul husks, the Ideal Masters killed me before I even knew what was happening. Also, eating soul husks...ew! What even are those supposed to be? And then, after seeing all the horror of the Soul Cairn, I continued trapping souls with impunity. SMH

Tar-Nuine

That soul trapping people sends them to torment and eternal limbo in the soul cairn.... all those souls... Oh and hearing a bear roar... "I get it, you exist, just shut up about it and stop watching me"

shadypink

Darkfall Cave..

PATRIOT880

Forgot where its at on the map, but you come across a small house/homestead that was attacked by a dragon with burnt bodies holding each other. Another one is the kid in windhelm that introduces the dark brotherhood, the house gives me the creeps

Wizard_Keltic

Molag bal

Common_Lawyer_5370

A lot.

Stanislas_Biliby

The music in the dark brotherhood HQ. It's something you'd find in a horror game.

eli_eli1o

Frostbite spiders and charus. Especially with the deadly poisons mod they are just as dangerous as they are frightening

TheNightZerk

Shellbugs, for some reason.

Ironman4234Exe

Underwater. Not just in Skyrim.

Ryd-Mareridt

Frostflow Lighthouse was my first introduction to the Falmer. Terrifying.

AlbiTuri05

The court mage of Solitude and the fact she can just walk away and be a thane because she only does her things to prisoners

Cool-Note-2925

Sweet mother sweet mother...

lorlorlor666

Nirnroot singing

RSdabeast

The road south from Winterhold at night has “clip through the floor” vibes.

nalathequeen2186

This is an odd one, but for some reason, going out of bounds in any part of Skyrim gives me the absolute chills. I love OOB and noclip glitches/cheats in any other game, but for whatever reason in Skyrim it just feels *wrong.*

Leading-Fig1307

The Sybil of Dibella quest...strange with what they implicate with what Dibella is known for.

Ok-Arugula-9335

Idk man, i fuck dead women
