No he meant floor one Jaw Worm(weird shaped blue creature with teeth) it's kind of a meme around here because I believe one of the best slay the spire players ever almost died floor 1 to a Jaw Worm(they can be deadly lol)
To be clear: With 2 hours you mean sleeving all the cards which you only have to do once and not before every game, right?
There are a lot of cards, that's true, but it doesn't take 2 hours to set up every time you want to play.
I know this thread is old, but I stumbled on it with a question for you.
When you say you bought the extra sleeve pack, do you mean the sleeve pack with the clear sleeves for all the non-player cards in the game? If so, do you feel like it was worth it? Do they fit tightly?
I'm looking at getting the Collector's Set since I want the player mats and I want the bigger box that can store them. So that means I'll shell out extra for the merchant bag I don't care about, but I digress. I'm wondering if it's worth saving the few extra bucks on the sleeves and buy them at a later date?
Appreciate any feedback.
Yes it was the clear sleeves and I do feel it was worth it. It wouldn't have cost much less to just get them separately.
They all fit well and snug and I am happy with them.
And don't sell the merchant bag short. It's way better than the cardboard coins that come standard!!
I got it today but got the exclusives last Friday.
I backed it when it was still on Kickstarter.
I never received any tracking though I did get a text message this morning saying it would be delivered today.
Interesting, okay. I just did the late pledge yesterday so I’m wondering if it’s gonna be like forever until I get mine or if they’re starting to go out at a decent rate now.
I couldn't tell you sadly. If you late pledged I assume your copy is sitting with those that were backed during the Kickstarter too. I don't think that makes any difference.
I got my email from the US distributor today confirming my address so they can start shipping. Exciting! Soon I’ll be one of these lucky people who can take pictures of my new physical copy.
Yeah it is.
If you are familiar with the video game (which I am sure you are) it plays the same way. Damage numbers are very different (much smaller values) and certain effects work a bit differently to better work in the new format.
For example, vulnerable now only works for a single attack...but it doubles it...after taking strength bonuses into account.
Set up was really easy too. The collector's edition came with a really good storage solution that I am very happy with this far.
I'd say late pledge and grab the collector's if you can. You won't regret it. My kids were flipping out because they thought the metal coins jingling in the bag sounded exactly like the sound effect from the game...and I think they were right.
My only concern about the board game was the turn set up (scaling buffs and all that). Sounds like they've sorted it with the lower numbers etc.
I'll have a look into some reviews before I make the plunge. Its definitely leaning towards buying it...
Not long.
I never got tracking but I received the exclusives within a week of the announcement that shipping would start and I had the full game 3 days after that.
They are just cards. They have different colored borders depending on what they are. For example rares have a yellow border instead of the black one in that one picture.
does it come with floor one jaw worm
? You mean Neow? Yeah he's at the bottom and gives you a random bonus. There is a deck of cards that represent this
No he meant floor one Jaw Worm(weird shaped blue creature with teeth) it's kind of a meme around here because I believe one of the best slay the spire players ever almost died floor 1 to a Jaw Worm(they can be deadly lol)
A20 floor 1 Jaw worm harder than the heart
Ah. Haven't hit A20. Not sure. There are alot of cards I haven't opened yet because I need to hit certain asension levels first.
Looooooooooooool!!!
Oh. The ones you see in act 3 too? Yeah they are there.
I haven't seen that - do you remember who it was or maybe have a link to the video please?
Prettt sure it was Baalord but I dont have a link. You might be able to just search it on YouTube.
was hoping it would be - I like him; I'll have a look later, thanks
It was part of the 20 rotating win streak. I think somewhere in the first half, but not sure about that.
Found it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCeqRxX0zGQ Absoutely savage
That waffle he found in the shop was so lucky lol
Lay the Spire
Play the spire
My jealousy knows no bounds.
How much does it cost?
It was $150 before shipping. But that was for a more deluxe edition. I doubt it will be as expensive retail.
How long did it take to set up/package up? It's the worst experience with the Dark Souls board game.
2 hours or so. There are a TON of cards.
Yeah I can imagine. And I got the extra sleeves pack too
As did I.

Correct. Setting the game up itself is actually pretty easy.

How long did it take for you to get yours? I recently bought the slayer version + the beta art cards. Just curious. Excited to play it!

Does it have ascsention? I forget how to spell it
Yeah it does. I'll post a picture later
Where do you live? I am assuming Japan, Australia, or Korea.
Japan
Very cool
is it only playable for a single player? i wish i could buy that too!!
Up to four players
Does anyone have a link for this?

How many sleeves are needed?
I'm not sure...alot.
I kind of wanted but then I said, "wait.. I don't have anyone else to play with" then I recalled that sts is a 1 player game... so where to order it?
Ughhhhh jealous. Still waiting for mine!!
I got my email from the US distributor today confirming my address so they can start shipping. Exciting! Soon I’ll be one of these lucky people who can take pictures of my new physical copy.
Yay! I feel you! I have 3 other games supposedly coming in that I am in the back of the line for... =( So I was SUPER glad to get this one when I did.
I'm having some FOMO. Is the board game easy to play & set up? Might consider late pledge.

Looks pretty well designed and good quality
It is. The card quality is top notch
Look at that BNIS.
How long did it take to arrive?
Not long. I never got tracking but I received the exclusives within a week of the announcement that shipping would start and I had the full game 3 days after that.
I ended up with half a pack of sleeves after sleeving everything. Am I forgetting to sleeve things or are there just some extras?
Not sure. I have a few sleeves left over myself...they may be extras...
Awesome, just wanted to make sure! I was thinking of picking up some clear sleeves for the non double-sided cards. Thanks :)
Is it a cooperative game?
Yes.
Huh, that's not the card back I expected. I thought it'd be this one: https://imgur.com/fnlObbH That's kinda sad actually :(
Why do the cards have pictures of cards on them instead of just being… cards
It's cards all the way down
They are just cards. They have different colored borders depending on what they are. For example rares have a yellow border instead of the black one in that one picture.
