You can easily build 132 tracks of about 12 m without issues.
At about 15 m i'd recommend taking a speaker cable and connect a track next to the Control Unit with another one at the middle. No real additional power needed. Our current track is about 20 m and works good without the cable connection. But that depends on how good the connection between the individual track pieces work. The first thing you'd notice is the cars driving slower on a part of the track. The lane changes also can have issues if underpowered.
4 drivers, a ghost car and a pace car should always work on a standard 132 power supply. The 124 cars are limited to 4 cars because they need more power.

Schweeeeet! Thanks for the info. Looks like i can add quite a bit without adding another power supply.
Just keep adding track until you start noticing cars slowing down on the back half of your layout. Then add the power lines.
