Just looking at it like that, I'd say you should reduce the heelcup size (if you aren't already on the smallest setting). From what I see tou won't have any toe drag, but might have a bit of heel drag given your hell overhang.

J_IV24

I agree. Your boots are actually set too far toward the heel in your bindings from what I can tell, if anything

TetonTyler

Thanks! My heelcup is pushed in as far as it can go. I can always turn my base plate (where the binding is screwed into the board, I’m not sure of the actual name) with the screws so I can move the bindings more toe side rather than side to side. I think that’ll do the trick

J_IV24

The way I test for centering my bindings is I mount my boot in the binding, like you did in the photo, and turn the board on the toe edge, and then heel edge, and see if the toe/heel make contact at approximately the same angle. If not, I adjust accordingly. My methodology may be wrong but I think it’s pretty solid

TetonTyler

Great advice! I’ll give it a go

TetonTyler

Thank you for the advice! I might try moving my base plate to my toe side since my heelcup is in the smallest size.

My bindings also go edge to edge and my boots stick out about that much. Ever since getting the Salomon Assassin and Hologram bindings I cannot seem to feel very comfortable. I may just not like the flexible heelcup of the holograms, or feet/bindings might be a little too much for board. I've hit 61mph on my Arbor with Arbor Cypress bindings, but on the Salomon setup passed maybe 45 feels sketchy. Both boards have same "flex rating", and Arbor is even a rocker! If you have the cash maybe just demo a wider board, see what feels good. I'm planning on doing so.. Stats: 6'/165lbs Sz 10 boot Assassin 156 (253mm waist width) Bindings sz Medium (maxed out adjustment on Hologram)

TetonTyler

Thanks! I’m 5’9 about 170 lbs and wear size 10. The board is a regular so I might need a wide but I’ll have to try it out a few more times to really test it. I’m going out West next week so that’ll be the real test!

shwubbie

Oh and my Arbor is a 160, with I think 257mm waist width?

Idk why you didn’t just get the wide doa board
