I know many people like the Loadstar and it's awesome fast in decent conditions, but once shit hits the fan it always feels lackluster. On top of that it happily chugs fuel like it's powered by a gas turbine.
I mean I haven't had any issues with mine, the only area it's struggled in is snow, but I've pulled 2 sideboard beds of supplies with it, after loading them with a crane, and had no real issues. But then, I also set up mobile service stations EVERYWHERE because I know shit will hit the fan with just about any truck for any reason, so having them readily within reach is super handy.
I just sold both of the jeeps I had. I thought they were absolute trash. They seemed very sluggish and were constantly stuck. I would get stuck in the smallest of mud holes
Which is weird considering they're the game's American counterparts to the Kahn Marshall, and I don't have any issues with the Marshall compared to the Rubicon. It's a bit sluggish, but it gets through anything and everything I've put it through.
Solo scouts - YAR, Burlak, with exploration units. Or a Crocodile and fuel add on
New map scout team - Tatra T813 with rescue bed, taking a Humvee and exploration unit.
Route planning, general exploration, - Rezvani, F750
Scout Support - Step 310, Cat CT681 with maintenence body.
I mostly use the Hercules for scouting a new map. Then the Yar for scout trailers and the Ford or a Tatarin for hunting out those pesky tasks that don't unlock until you've done something else.
My Ford is also my portable fuel station.
I like the Jeep DLC scout. I'm a little biased because I used to own one that was a similar model. I also like the Scout 800 because it reminds me of a Scout Traveler my Dad had when I was a kid.
When I need a balanced scout that's also great at pulling scout trailers: **International Loadstar 1700.**
When I need a small yet strong scout that can reach difficult spot and/or take shortcuts through forests: **TUZ 166** or **Jeep Wrangler.**
When I need a long-range, beefy scout that can carry plenty of repair points and spare fuel: **Ford F750.**
But I'm really liking the new scout that can be found in the latest Season 13 map, the **AAC-58DW**. Really nice to drive and enjoyable performance. It's a pity it has such a non-memorable nameā¦
Went through the whole Imandra, which I guess is one of the toughest maps in the game, and even did some tasks with it. This truck can do absolutely everything, but not without problems, of course. Every time I try any other scout and it gets stuck in the nearest puddle I have to go back to the F750 to get things done
Try scout 800 with jat ms3, tatarin(which has best wheels in game), bulak 6x6, yar, khan marshal with jat ms3. These all fly through all types of roads vs f750. Granted tatarin and 605r are only 2 vehicles almost impossible to get stuck(with tatarin on 1st place). And this is without going in all the op offroad and heavies.
My fav thing about the Khan is that it used to be able to float(idk if it still does, I havenāt used in years cause it felt like cheating lol), and you could cheese your way across rivers with it lmao
For the heavy duty exploration it would be the Tatarina Crocodile 8 wheeler. For long distance exploration where I need lots of fuel it would have to be the F750.
Yar 87 is my go too. It's a little tippy which adds a challenge I like.
For bigger seasons with 4 maps, I'll use the Tayga 6436 with a sideboard and Loaf for scouting.
Out of the actual scout category vehicles the F750 is my favorite scout as well, just wish it had the Burlak swappable hitch so it could tow scout trailers and also had an option for mud tires. If I need to tow scout trailers off road then I'll use the Loadstar, YAR or Burlak depending on the situation. For sneaking through forests the Scout 800 is great.
For non-scout class vehicles the ANK civilian with the fuel tank (also a great off road trailer hauler) or the Tayga, also the Zikz 605R makes a great heavy expedition vehicle if size is no object but I just need to go a long distance and not get stuck.
I just have a special love for the F-750. I feel like it has the best RWD performance of all vehicles. Dunno if it's just a placebo effect but it just feels so powerful even without 4WD
Tatarin, yar, marshall, burlak. In this order.
Never understood people using f750. Bad tires and very big. Yes it has a lot of fuel but in 99% of the cases even running out of fuel in a tatarin after 2 whole zomes still makrs it faster than trying to get anywhere with the f750.
If mods then I like https://mod.io/g/snowrunner/m/baja-crew, if not a mod then rezvani or f750 and sometimes tatarin but it has saome cons such as high fuel consumption and low height of crossing water depth
JBE modded Tatarin. Can hold like 600 gallons of fuel, and tons of repair points. Scouting is my least favorite part of the game so it gets it out of the way pretty quickly.
International Loadatar by a country mile. It goes places you wouldnāt expect it to be able to get to and has also come to the rescue of much bigger and heavier trucks by righting them when theyāve overturned.
idk but i really enjoy using the step crocodile seems very capable with most things but small like the actual scouts in the game just wish it had the autonomous winch option
This one right here. Yes the tatarin is a monster and the burlak can get through any terrain no matter how deep, but this one just feels *right* when I'm behind the wheel. Quick, but not uncontrollable. Capable, but not op. Efficient, but needs its racks. Powerful, but not unlimited power.
It's just good at everything but not the best at anything, and that makes a great package imo. Other than range that is. Its range can't really be matched tbh.
I favor the Ford F750 when I just want to get a lot of work done. However, if I am scouting out a new map and just chilling out, I favor the Scout 800.
Loadstar 1700. It eats gas like a pig, but it's a good scout otherwise. I keep the service utility bed on and a scout fuel trailer behind it and it does just fine for me.
The Tayga is the most overrated truck in the game. People rush it early and break Michigan and Alaska with it, completely ruining both experiences, and come away thinking it's the 'king'. In reality it's aggressively mediocre and easily outclassed by the Vorons and... basically any other mid-sized truck past that point.
Umm definitely not pal. The voron sucks fuel a lot faster. Itās a lot better than any other truck. Do a google search and youāll see. But I suspect you already know it is lmao. Youāre very delusional and itās quite funny.
the Voron D with its custom gearbox is fuel heavy. But, the Voron AE will do any task the Tayga can do, faster, and using less fuel. I've tested them back to back across multiple regions/conditions. It's not close. The Vorons are better trucks.
Definitely not pal. Voron burns more fuel, faster. Thereās plenty of ātestsā on YouTube. The tayga was titled the tayga king for a reason. And guess what? It still is. I suggest you do some research before you look even more dumb.
Notice how no one in these comments has upvoted you a single time. Rather than referring to Google and ad hominem attacks, if you actually played the game more you'd realise you're categorically wrong.
But I really donāt care what others have to say. Iām not a sheep like you. And again, there are TONS of tests done in the tagya. And I guarantee I have more hours in the game than you do. Every single map is 100% except for Amur and Almaty. You should step your game up pal.
"Voron burns more fuel, faster." - Immediately tells me you know **nothing** about the Voron trucks vs Tayga.
"Thereās plenty of ātestsā on YouTube" and "do some research" vs "I really don't care what others have to say" - Which is it?
"Sheep like you". "more dumb" - You are literally a sheep for believing the Tayga is a better truck than it actually is because some guy on YouTube told you so.
I have screen recorded the repeatable tasks with the Tayga vs the Voron AE across multiple regions that categorically prove you're full of shit and know nothing. You like the Tayga, great, but the Voron is faster and more efficient.
You think you can insult people because you believe you're right? GTFO of here you absolute joke.
The radar trailer (and similar unbalanced mods) feels way too cheap for me, not happening.
And the range is actually mediocre due to the large fuel tank, it's still gussling gas like crazy.
Actually itās not. In high gear, which is where I spend most of the time, it averages 1.7 gallons a minute. Thatās very good. Even hauling heavy load up a steep hill, it averages 4.8. So no, it doesnāt guzzle anything. Thereās a reason itās called the tayga king. Itās an OG truck thatās been out since launch and if youād actually do research, it still holds up in these new maps and against new trucks. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|table)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|table_flip)
Edit: since you edited it, they arenāt āunbalancedā. Itās simply a QOL enhancement. Makes the game much more enjoyable.
Funny that you'll bring up a stereotypical "ackchually do some research" after completely disregarding an entire class of trucks and calling the Tayga fuel efficient.
Besides the obvious issue with bringing up mods in a general discussion: yes, it is unbalanced. If trucks were meant to have radar capability, they'd have it. As a proper add-on probably, and not some dashboard radar cheat.
> Use the bobble head. Itās much better.
That's your opinion, most would consider it a cheat.
If you want to do radar but don't want to do a trailer, at least do it somewhat properly with [an actual radar on your truck](https://mod.io/g/snowrunner/m/truck-mounted-radar), so that you don't just fully cheat your radar all the time, because you this truck can't do every other task at the same time, which makes it far more realistic.
Western Star 6900 Twinsteer
It's so nimble and flexible, has a great turning radius and never tips over! 10/10 would recommend.
I know, it's also got excellent repair, refuel and recover capability!
Same the f750. But sometimes the Zikz 605r.
Ank mk38 civilian w/ the changable suspension and the maintenance boddy
That's not a scout š
If works good as a scout, then it is a scout
If it scouts, it's a scout
Fast and reliable!!
Bandit with Maintenance Addon.
Probably the loadstar. Really useful vehicle that is surprisingly fast. ( haven't unlocked the F-750 yet lol )
I know many people like the Loadstar and it's awesome fast in decent conditions, but once shit hits the fan it always feels lackluster. On top of that it happily chugs fuel like it's powered by a gas turbine.
I think the real turnoff for the Loadstar is its lack of mud tires.
It gets truck tires instead, which are better than base game scout muds. With the JAT tires it's different, though
You need to unlock it itās amazing
Getting the F750 can be tedious especially when you try to get the best engine for it
Hated by everyone, Too good to have swimming mechanics, too powerful for a vehicle without DLC, I present to you TATARINA
Wait, who hates it?
I don't mean that it's totally op and if something is op in a game it's considered unskilled
It is OP until you encounter rocks, then itās crippled AF
True
P12 with maintenance addon.
Unironically, the P12 rocks as a heavy scout. It's my go-to in NA regions alongside the Hummer for exploration trailer use.
Wait, is this real tech? Can someone ELI5?
The Pacific P12 with maintenance add-on. 2350L of fuel goes a long way. 57" wheels will roll over a lot of obstacles. It's what I use to explore.
what type of wheels you run?
DMHS I mudtires. They look chuckier and they're the most expensive. Unless I know I'll need to drive uphill on icy roads, then MHS I chains.
awesome! i will give it a try soon. finishing yukon today. and skipping amur because i am not in the mood lol
I just finished Yukon yesterday. Started Wisconsin today. š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yar 87 is pretty dope...
Crocodile
Rezvani Hercules, Bandit with maintenance addon, or Crocodile with a fuel tank.
F750 looks absolutely sick!
And the amount of fuel and spare parts it carries is ridiculous, can pull some truck trailers also
Thatās sick I didnāt know. Mines still stock lol
It can struggle with the truck trailers but if youāve already deployed your trucks into position itās a good gap filler
Not to mention you can put a short flat deck and a loading crane on it as well
Thanks itās a unit
Kirovets k7m for extreme roads, tuz 420 for exploring, ford f750 for maintenance
F750 or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
I just sold both of the jeeps I had. I thought they were absolute trash. They seemed very sluggish and were constantly stuck. I would get stuck in the smallest of mud holes
Which is weird considering they're the game's American counterparts to the Kahn Marshall, and I don't have any issues with the Marshall compared to the Rubicon. It's a bit sluggish, but it gets through anything and everything I've put it through.
Agreed. I'm using a 3500 Ram right now, but when I'm not the Marshall is my go-to. I've never had an issue with it.
Solo scouts - YAR, Burlak, with exploration units. Or a Crocodile and fuel add on New map scout team - Tatra T813 with rescue bed, taking a Humvee and exploration unit. Route planning, general exploration, - Rezvani, F750 Scout Support - Step 310, Cat CT681 with maintenence body.
Pretty sure I'm looking at it
Hell yah
I mostly use the Hercules for scouting a new map. Then the Yar for scout trailers and the Ford or a Tatarin for hunting out those pesky tasks that don't unlock until you've done something else. My Ford is also my portable fuel station.

Cat 745c with fuel addon
Lmao
Right now, it's the new AAC-58DW. But overall? Loadstar is the best.
I keep seeing stuff about the loadstar Iāve never personally tried it(I though it looked funny) so I guess Iāll have to give it a shot
Don't judge by the looks, judge by performance
Iāll keep that in mind
When I need a balanced scout that's also great at pulling scout trailers: **International Loadstar 1700.** When I need a small yet strong scout that can reach difficult spot and/or take shortcuts through forests: **TUZ 166** or **Jeep Wrangler.** When I need a long-range, beefy scout that can carry plenty of repair points and spare fuel: **Ford F750.** But I'm really liking the new scout that can be found in the latest Season 13 map, the **AAC-58DW**. Really nice to drive and enjoyable performance. It's a pity it has such a non-memorable nameā¦
Theres a f750 mod thats pretty good, not OP at all if you can build it right, great customization
Loadstar in HoF. Scout 800 when itās time to rip and have fun. 605R when I need to get somewhere.
F750 is my go-to, unless there is a lot of deep mud/snow. ZiKZ 605R w/ fuel tank add-on if I'm feeling lazy.
F750 never disappoints
Except every time it encounters mildly difficult terrain.
Went through the whole Imandra, which I guess is one of the toughest maps in the game, and even did some tasks with it. This truck can do absolutely everything, but not without problems, of course. Derry special with multipurpose and a packed scout 800
Was my Navistar until it got nerfed now it's my Khan Marshall
The marshal is great so fast with that final engine upgrade lmao. Iāve sent that thing absolutely flying
I've done it too, especially off the runway in Alaska
My fav thing about the Khan is that it used to be able to float(idk if it still does, I havenāt used in years cause it felt like cheating lol), and you could cheese your way across rivers with it lmao
It still does. Not as well as it did though.
One of this three : Renegade, Khan Marshall, Land Rover 110, but use the others too. Just what scout i want to drive for the moment
Super duty mod
T813
Been rocking the Scout 800 but I think that and the ck1500 are all I have for scouts
F750
For the heavy duty exploration it would be the Tatarina Crocodile 8 wheeler. For long distance exploration where I need lots of fuel it would have to be the F750.
Yar 87 is my go too. It's a little tippy which adds a challenge I like. For bigger seasons with 4 maps, I'll use the Tayga 6436 with a sideboard and Loaf for scouting.
Yar 87 is a good all-rounder & definitely my fave
F750 or really want that f150 from America wilds man I would kill for a obs ford dlc
F750, although the Loadstar is very close. Problem with it is the Croc is a better Loadstar.
I agree with the swappable hitch thatās the only thibg I donāt like about the f750
I just have a special love for the F-750. I feel like it has the best RWD performance of all vehicles. Dunno if it's just a placebo effect but it just feels so powerful even without 4WD
I think its unique gearbox and always on difflock might have something to do with it.
Probably, yeah!

That one
The starter truck bc I got one irl
KRS 58 Bandit with maintenance add-on and the scout's king: the Tatarin! š
Chevy OG, Ford f 750 and most recently I really love the Land Rover. The newer model
If we are talking about vanilla game with no DLC - then its hummer or tatrin. Best you can get without paying for DLC i think.
International Scout. No that's not a typo
Probably tatarin as heavy, and khan sentinel as light one
Tuz 420 "Tatarin"
The APC it's good
That Squarebody mod truck, add the 1600hp engine and you can get any job done!
Tatarin and Bart's Khan 39 Marshall (mod)
If mods then I like https://mod.io/g/snowrunner/m/baja-crew, if not a mod then rezvani or f750 and sometimes tatarin but it has saome cons such as high fuel consumption and low height of crossing water depth
got me a modded f450 dually
TuZ 16 with fuel add on, or for an actual scout the loadstar
JBE modded Tatarin. Can hold like 600 gallons of fuel, and tons of repair points. Scouting is my least favorite part of the game so it gets it out of the way pretty quickly.
F-750 all the way, or the CAT eith a fuel tank if I'm going heavy mudding
The Khan 39 Marshall, and Zikz 605r are what I use for 75% of the game, including scouting. The 605 is surprisingly stable on hills.
I like the Chevrolet you get at the start, but I wanna make the jump to F750 when I get the money saved up
C800 š¤Ŗ
TUZ
Land Cruiser from JonJonHotRod š
I think the atom is the best scout
H1 (mod)
Crocodile with fuel addon
1. Rezvani - most enyoyable ride. 2. Cat TH - best "doesnt care" scout.
I *Use* tatarin but i like rockcrusher for Asthetic
Derry special
At first it was the Tuz 420 but after using the F750 in British Columbia I can see what all the fuss is about
International Loadatar by a country mile. It goes places you wouldnāt expect it to be able to get to and has also come to the rescue of much bigger and heavier trucks by righting them when theyāve overturned.
Tuz 420 for exploring in deep mud and snow.
idk but i really enjoy using the step crocodile seems very capable with most things but small like the actual scouts in the game just wish it had the autonomous winch option
Cat
Apache for the win. I always loved it, but ever since the jat tire pack came out it's actually been a great scout.
I favor the Ford F750 when I just want to get a lot of work done. However, if I am scouting out a new map and just chilling out, I favor the Scout 800.
Tatarin
Chevrolet apache
Loadstar 1700. It eats gas like a pig, but it's a good scout otherwise. I keep the service utility bed on and a scout fuel trailer behind it and it does just fine for me.
Yar87 and Tatarin so far
Transtar
Scouts are useless. My tayga king is my scout

*laughs in massive range and radar trailer*
Tayga has very decent range and radar trailer is useless. Use the bobble head. Itās much better.
