Doesn't mean he's not injured.
I walked around for 3 days on a broken ankle. You can often walk fine with MCL, PCL, Meniscus etc tears as well, you just can't run or play sport.
Ibra played basically with no knee the last couple of months of our league winning season. He had to manually drain it with a syringe after only playing 10mins per game
Isaac Vassell finished the half when he tore his ACL for us, and was also out for the rest of the season. Hell, he never really got fit ever again, constantly picking up injuries.
He didn't tear his ACL during that game, it was a sprain and he was only out for the rest of the summer. ACL tear he would have been out for 6-9 months.
With knee injuries usually you can walk fine even right after, it's just lateral movements that are painful/difficult.
Sure, but it is a good sign. Vast majority of time if you are good to walk 30-60 mins after an injury it is nothing catastrophic, tho exceptions exist.
Except for knee injuries which is exaclty what Ronaldo had here and is crying about. Whether someone can walk on it or not means fuck all when it comes to the question of “is their ACL intact or not?”
Torn my ACL and meniscus in a football match last month. I was able to walk until the next morning when my knee was completley swollen and I was unable to move it more than like 10 degrees. Its not like you don't know you injured your knee as you can feel something is not right but there is not much pain when moving your knee until its swollen which usually takes between 5-20 hours.
Had surgery last wednesday, evreything went well. I was in physiotherapy for three weeks to optimize mobility and make sure the knee is not swollen anymore before the surgery. Thankfully pain is not really a problem during the whole process. The limitations and restrictions in basic things like walking, sitting down, showering etc. are the biggest cause of trouble for me (evreything takes longer and more effort).
During the surgery they took a muscle fiber from my upper leg to repair/reconnect my ACL with that muscle fiber. (English is not my first language, sorry if it is hard to follow)
Overall I am happy surgery is done and I can fully focus on recovery now. Thank you for asking on my well being! (:
I got myself to hospital the night of and morning after fully rupturing my ACL and fracturing a bone in my knee on public transport
Admittedly probably a lot of hopping and scooting up/down stairs but it's doable
Looked like a Meniscus tear. But it's just my assumption based on him holding his knee and how he went down.
Edit my assumption was completely wrong. He's jumping around celebrating
As if you tried to diagnose a meniscus tear based on him holding his knee 😂
Fair enough you owned up to it, but man people on reddit have way too much confidence to try and diagnose injuries
To be fair he got really bad injury in euros final and was jumping around when they won so still could be bad one. There first league game is in two days tho which is silly, so he wont be playing that.
First big injury since the EURO Final damn.. Even with his body he is 38 years old....
Looking back on it, it's a miracle him and Messi were healthy as hell for the better part of 15 years
>this is part of what has made them both so great - they both had fairly minimal extended layoffs.
Nailed it here.
There could have been some contestants on the GOAT race. Not gonna name too many of them, but from Vermaelen to Neymar to Robben there could have been some amazing players in this era if there would have been a better way to manage their physical strain.
It is also restraint, CR7 stopped the beautiful dribbling at some point. Neymar kept doing it and he got injured a lot. I feel like the referees nowadays do not protect technical players enough (can see that becoming a problem for Vinicius).
Yeah but now he likely has terrible knees for his life and will have issues that could’ve been avoided. Those things stay with you and do affect you unfortunately. Hopefully for him the effects are minimal and just eventually not become a problem with regular activity.
>He is not one to feign injury
lol what? Where have you been the last 20 years?
Hope he's okay, but stop talking shit lol
Edit: LMAO look at him jumping out of happiness he just won the match.
Dude just did the game dirty by drawing some more time.
There's a difference between trying to win a free kick and being carted off grimacing.
Ronaldo isn't leaving the pitch in a final unless he's badly hurt.
Go watch the Euro 2016 finals - he was jumping in the end, although he faced surgery and long recovery time.
He might not be injured, but your argument doesn't mean he's not injured.
I'm not there, i'm not a doctor and i'm not within circles to know.
I do know he's known for feigning injuries as well as faking them. United would know.
I wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt. As i wouldn't any player who does these things. there are many, unfortunately.
I hope that is not a serious injury for Ronaldo but are you really linking a laligafrauds thread on twitter about Ronaldo's old injury? La Liga frauds is probably the biggest joke account on twitter. They are a crazy football conspiracy theory account and I am not entirely convinced that it's an elaborate performance art troll. It's like using the Onion or Beaverton as a credible source
negative stuff? look at his celebration I mean it's okay to celebrate but you are in a saudi leauge cause no one wanted you in europa so simple
after 100 Years people will still talk about PELE MARADONA MESSI COMPARASION the truth hurts
stop sniffing his A55

Looks bad based on his face, what was it?
He's walking fine now during the celebrations

Dennis Irwin once tried to run off a broken leg.
fuck dickford!
Prickford
Pickford?
Snoring hell lad, give it a rest
Kurt Angle won a gold medal with a broken freakin neck!
It's true. It's damn true.
perhaps. honestly the replay didnt look bad at all, just looked like he got hit in the knee at an awkward angle
Tbf you'll remember the euro 2016 final where he tore his ACL and was jumping up and down on the touchline shouting instructions.
He didn't tear his ACL during that game, it was a sprain and he was only out for the rest of the summer. ACL tear he would have been out for 6-9 months. With knee injuries usually you can walk fine even right after, it's just lateral movements that are painful/difficult.
technically a sprain IS a tear.
is courtois out for that long?
Yeah i once broke my ankle too and walked and run fine until I kicked a ball 2 weeks later. Holy fuck the pain

Bro you’re not Ronaldo…
So he's finished then? That's it pack up your bags, we're leaving the Saudi League.
Zlatan walked with a torn ACL.
Torn ACL walked with Zlatan*
I tore my ACL and walked home too. It's normal, just lateral movements and twisting/turning that are significantly affected.
It's turning and twisting that will be the issue
Yeah but it’s Zlatan
Philip Rivers played in an NFL playoff game with a torn ACL.

That sounds painful.. how are you now??

How did you treat your leg since then?
I got myself to hospital the night of and morning after fully rupturing my ACL and fracturing a bone in my knee on public transport Admittedly probably a lot of hopping and scooting up/down stairs but it's doable
a hole in one I think
An injury.

He did have the same look on his face that I do after my coffee
That's why Gary Lineker is the GOAT.
CR7 always rated Paul Pierce
Cheers, Geoff
A real jokester we have over here.
Nah I'm serious. Definite injury.

/r/soccer is ridiculous.
nah every sub has its experts
He always has that look on his face.
A desire to be paid crazy money to do even less
He sees Messi banging it in every night in USA and knows that his slim goal-scoring lead is about to disappear.
You must not know him lol - Watch his red card for Juve against Valencia
Had some expired Indian food couple hours ago, can’t hold it in anymore
Any video of when the injury happened?
He looks fine. Jumping and celebrating with team mates
To be fair he got really bad injury in euros final and was jumping around when they won so still could be bad one. There first league game is in two days tho which is silly, so he wont be playing that.
That was a knock, if you are referring to the clash with Payet.
That just means the injections worked. He'll be feeling it later.
First big injury since the EURO Final damn.. Even with his body he is 38 years old.... Looking back on it, it's a miracle him and Messi were healthy as hell for the better part of 15 years
10 matches in 1 month will do that
And both these teams are supposed to play again on Monday, this schedule is kind of a joke
That's one harsh schedule
Only way to get those passports back
EA would be proud.
Their next match is against Steven Gerrard's team. Let them have one win.
How is Gerrard doing?
Awful, no wins so far
Financially better than ever
Especially with the weather over there.
Really the only way to get your moneys worth out of a Ronaldo salary
He went into a tackle, he seems to be jumping and walking alot during the celebrations right now, so it might not be serious
Honestly I think this is part of what has made them both so great - they both had fairly minimal extended layoffs. Hopefully this isn't too serious.

Neymar is a bad example, because he got the hang of his dramatic dives and since then no ref took him seriously ever again
How is this nonsense upvoted
How do you know it's a big injury. Do not want to come across like douche but how can you tell it's serious? Are there more informations already?
Its joever
:( Not good to see at his age.
Zlatan comes to mind as well with regards to age and injury
Yeah but now he likely has terrible knees for his life and will have issues that could’ve been avoided. Those things stay with you and do affect you unfortunately. Hopefully for him the effects are minimal and just eventually not become a problem with regular activity.
Euro 2016 vibes
Hopefully it isn’t a serious injury
Yeah doesn't look bad at all.
Yeah he’s celebrating right now, I think he’s fine
Still could be just the adrenaline
You’re a cup half empty guy
Supporting Dortmund does that
Don't think the Real Madrid fan can relate lmao
10 matches in 25 days, what could go wrong?
Hope its not a broken hip, deadly in his age
Hip replacement at his age will make it questionable for the next game
Murray did it, it's just a scratch
Their next game is Monday.
Damn…
Looks bad
I wonder how many less people will come to the games now
He is not one to feign injury, this looks serious
>He is not one to feign injury lol what? Where have you been the last 20 years? Hope he's okay, but stop talking shit lol Edit: LMAO look at him jumping out of happiness he just won the match. Dude just did the game dirty by drawing some more time.

> Ronaldo isn't leaving the pitch in a final unless he's badly hurt. Who is?
Lmao yeah sure thing bro. He's jumping up and down like a 5 year old who just got his favorite candy. Injury my hairy ass.
He was jumping around after the euro 2016 final and then he was out injured for months after that with a torn ACL

You have also not played a sport competitively if you don’t understand the difference between celebrating and actually playing with an injury
There’s a big difference between faking a foul and faking an injury
Ronaldo wants to play every minute
stfu
Was it from contact with another player?
Yes
Not looking good
Hope it's not that serious.
You hate to see this …

lmao isn't he the same guy that made a massive thread saying how ronaldo's girlfriend only got with him to sabotage his career/world cup or something
[удалено]
crazy how the only source that pertains to this information happens to be only and only from this twitter account right?
So Ronaldo has been lying about his knee injury since 2014?
I don't
Honestly I don't have any sympathy for the guy, complete narcissist Keep downvoting me but that's what he is
Lmao miserable life you must have
Ah man I’m sure Ronaldo is devastated that he doesn’t have u/atbg1936 sympathy
You’re wishing someone else an injury?
Wishing him way worse things than an injury, guy is a rapist
Ah the Ronaldo fanboys don't like it when you point that out though
Got one in my dms as we speak
who asked?
If you accomplished in your life just one percent of what that man has in 38 years in sure you’d be a worse narcissist
Not narcissist, rapist actually
Both actually
Care to explain why he’s a narcissist?
Looks like he's in pain, hope it isn't bad.
Was it a no contact injury?
He’s fine. It looked like a bad knock.
He's not 35 anymore
They won the championship though
Even at peak physical condition, he's 38. Unfortunate
No way please don't be serious injury
I'm not a fan of him personally, but it sucks if this is how it all ends.
This sub begs for Greenwood to get injured and cries when Ronaldo does lmao
I feel like I wasn’t supposed to laugh at this clip
I wasn't going to but I have seen Ronnie cry a lot after having to leave a pitch due to injury
Is it the same knee he’s had trouble with?
hahaha
For anyone watching what happened? Doesn’t look good though
Knee got caught. But he looks fine.
He'll be back to lift the trophy.
It's Joever
Played 10 matches in 30 days, hes just relentless
Prick
Broke an eyelash, poor lad.
Man has not changed one bit from the teen I saw at Euro 2004 when it comes to crying after an injury
Wow. That the end for the Saudi League then? RIP Saudi League June 2023-August 2023.
Drama queen
Ooohh looks bad... Snapped bootlace ? 🤔
Cheers Ronaldo is crying
Get fucked rapist
[удалено]
Nice strawman, lots of us hate Partey. I imagine the people chastising Ronaldo for being a rapist are the ones that do
I must admit, that i miss seeing him crying.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy
Pussy
Did he fall into a crevice created by golf cart wheels?
He's just regretting moving to that shithole of a country
It’s over Ronaldo. Messi won.
Never seen a footballer cry as much as Ronaldo.
[удалено]
Why tf would you not feel bad for an injured player regardless of who they are?
“But she kept saying ‘no.’ ‘Don’t do it.’ ‘I’m not like the others.’ I apologized afterwards.” That's why. Ronaldo is a scumbag.
F
We’re reaching levels of finished never thought possible
Least insensitive Argentinian
Did he slip on his hair grease?
Football Twitter bookmarking this for upcoming edits
Ever the tart
Twisted scrotum, ouch
Someone taking a selfie with the second best player in the world got him injured smh
Might be nice and quiet now without all the remaining Ronaldo fanboys flooding this sub with murder league highlights.
stfu
have u guys seen his celebration? it felt like he won the world cup lol that was so awkward
Yes, thats why he’s successful and is considered one of the greatest in his field, while you are here posting negative stuff on reddit.
negative stuff? look at his celebration I mean it's okay to celebrate but you are in a saudi leauge cause no one wanted you in europa so simple after 100 Years people will still talk about PELE MARADONA MESSI COMPARASION the truth hurts stop sniffing his A55
Why do you give a fuck what people will talk about in 100 years
Reverse sui 😔
Just looks like he can’t be bothered 🤣🤣
It’s fuckin sad how his career gonna end this way. At least he got paid I guess.
