Why would they be foaming at the mouth? Klopp's titles should absolutely be celebrated if City are found guilty of having stolen those titles against a legitimate Liverpool team that took more points (twice!) than any side under Mourinho, Ferguson or Wenger ever did.
Man City priced 28/1 to get relegated next season with the bookmakers ..
I think it's pretty likely that if City gets their titles removed, there will simply be no official winners those seasons. Retroactively awarding clubs PL wins is not a good idea imo.
In the seasons there weren't a title race it's pretty random who ends up as nr. 2, and the 3rd placed club could have very well have finished there if they knew that meant a league title.
Of course this would be extra bitter for Liverpool, who actually had a great team and would be deserved winners, even under Rodgers. All 2nd place finishes are actual title races. Unlike say Mourinho's Utd who was a quite poor 2nd place finisher.
I can see fans pulling out a banner saying "gracias Pep" in Scouse and English. Imagine it would be amazing. Liverpool and Man United holding arms and jumping together with the trophy.
Oh yeah, because Liverpool are the lesser of two evils for United fans especially if retconned titles help Liverpool overtake United in record league wins
I think he has an undeservedly bad reputation. He made most players perform really well, but was quite unlucky in De Gea really regressing at the time. Signing Ronaldo also ruined it for him eventually, was doomed to fail really.
That was the last time I watched a match really, honestly, rooting for City to win.
It would be hilarious but *that* title getting nixed would result in soooo many British elite/officials/politicians who are getting a taste of that sweet oil money in a bad spot. If anything other than financial penalties happens I'll be surprised, and *if* retroactive point deductions happen I doubt they'd configure it to more than giving Klopp and Arteta a title or two.
Did you even read my comment?? Did I question quality of Nunez? I simply said Klopp also spent money, 20% more or less than other teams.. point is they spent money. Wish people had taken reading and comprehension classes in school more seriously.
Read my original comment and think a bit before replying. Use that brain which is a privilege we have over other animals. You are replying to a wrong thread.
City, Chelsea, and United have all spent over double what we've spent in the last 10 years.
Picking out individual expensive signings to try and claim Liverpool (or Arsenal or Spurs) spend as much as those 3 makes about as much sense as me claiming United don't spend any money cos they got Jonny Evans on a free transfer.
I also like how you put it in euros to try and make the number seem bigger lol.
Feeling self conscious? I pulled the number from internet and it was in Euro. I made sure to include the unit because I paid attention in reading and comprehension class. I didn’t question spending of other teams simply said he spent money on strikers because he mentioned expensive strikers in his interview. Calm down mate.
Don't know about others but City have also won more than double the trophies in the same period. No idea what you are even trying to prove with Jack Grealish's fee. He is far from a flop, even if he will never justify his fee.
In any case, it's not as if Liverpool haven't had flops or underwhelming signings. Keita and Thiago just the top of my head.
Edit: The entitlement and insecurity on display here. Crying poverty as usual. But can't stomach the fact that if you claim that City have spent more than you, they also won a whole lot more than you.
I didn't even say anything about Jack Grealish...
The point is its hard to compete with clubs who can spend twice as much money as you, and yet only one of them has actually performed better than us (for the time being anyway, until they get their trophies taken off them).
You are in for surprise if you actually believe City will be losing any trophies.
The entire charges and allegations were timed conveniently by the league to dodge the issue of an independent regulator.
In terms of actual evidence, there is very little that stands to scrutiny. Because what they are alleging is that City were cooking the books (think of Enron) and would essentially be committing large scale fraud. Forget the league, if the evidence was there, an actual prosecution would have been undertaken, with City executives looking at potential jail time.
The fact that non of that has happened, should tell you everything.
If for a second, we ignore the obvious and assume that City lose their trophies, the charges are only until 2017-2018. So Liverpool aren't going to get anything other than maybe one league title. That won't be the kind of scenario that some of you are dreaming up now, would it.
The top of your head is thick as mince.
Keita played a huge part in both the Champions League and title winning seasons; Thiago in the domestic double / quadruple chase season. Both restricted by injuries (Keita's temperament also fell off a cliff in his final season), but that's very different to a pimped up oil state buying £100 million players for the bench. Both Thiago and Keita cost less than Matheus Nunes ..
There's absolute no comparison between City's spend and Liverpool's.
Liverpool supporters and crying poverty. Alll I see are excuses to spin the narrative of players ever flopping at Liverpool. Don't worry, with Klopp gone, you are going back to mid table mediocrity where you belong.
Who's crying poverty? You're demonstratively a simpleton.
As in, an actual, bonified simpleton.
Tell me how many times in the past 30 years that Liverpool have finished below 6th. I'll wait.
Then tell me how many times in the past 70 years Liverpool have finished 'mid table'. Again, I'll wait.
I'm glad they underlined that Klopp was joking otherwise some people would be foaming at the mouth..
Its funnier when they foam
Counter point: Old Yeller
I can’t believe you’ve done this.
I WAS HAVING A GOOD DAY
well fuck
I'm glad they underlined that the foaming is at the mouth..
It's like the sarcasm and joke tags on here - they signify the death of comedy!

If we get those 2017-18 & 2020-21 titles I will happily blast We are the Champions

Scouse and English 😂
It's an important line to draw, tbf.
And they say the Barrys only speak one language huh?
Liverpool 2013/14 squad... the names on that team ❤

I’ll never not watch that clip when it’s posted
>vimeo Good man
The likes of Marcos Rojo and Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard winning the premier league will destroy confidence in supporters lmao
Gracias pep, good lad that
Oh yeah, because Liverpool are the lesser of two evils for United fans especially if retconned titles help Liverpool overtake United in record league wins
“Gracias Mansour”
That’d be a fucking beautiful scene innit
Somehow OLE becomes a PL Winner we will right with you!
Ole PL winner you say? https://streamable.com/jc5f2
I miss seeing this posted so much
Saved. Thank you!
I’m ready for Six Flags!
Good moments during Ole’s reign was the most fun I had post-SAF. He might not be the best tactician but he’s better than given credit for.
I think he has an undeservedly bad reputation. He made most players perform really well, but was quite unlucky in De Gea really regressing at the time. Signing Ronaldo also ruined it for him eventually, was doomed to fail really.
The only person I wouldn't mind Ten Hag getting sacked for
He really was at the wheel huh
It ism't so much Ole for me as it is players like Lingard, Rashford, McTominay being 2 time league winners.
We would get 2011/12 and maybe 17/18. The charges are from the period 2009-2018.
Isn't that because they stopped cooperating and haven't provided any documents for the seasons after 17/18?
Never thought I’d sit here dreaming side by side with an elf
:(
I’ll take 2018
Oh whoops for some reason your flair was Liverpool, we’d also likely get 11/12 Aguerooooo.
Wouldn’t that also mean we’d technically do 4 in a row? So we take that away from them as well
3 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13 It's Chelsea who'd need blasting to the sun for 2006/7 2007/8 2008/9 2009/10 2010/11 (5)
We wouldn't...it would just be a third 3 in a row...10/11, 11/12 and 12/13
Oh my God, if we actually took that Agüero title... That would be absolutely hilarious
"AGUEEEEERRRRR....*a shitload of years later* NO" VAR-esque.
That was the last time I watched a match really, honestly, rooting for City to win. No offense, but those would be the most banter titles ever lol, if I was a United fan I'd still take them lol but yeah they would be a bit silly.
I, for one, look forward to Arsenal going for a record tying third consecutive PL title next season.💪
There is often truth in jest.
I mean bro is literally out the door now, he can say whatever he wants. What're they gonna do? Fire him?
u/thetelegraph this is what the headline should've been
Given the current charges go up to the 17/18 season I think he might be waiting a while
And there's probably been more since
So the bus parade is going to be for Brendan?
I can't imagine anything funnier than a joint parade with Klopp and Pogba holding hands.
❤️ 🚎 115👇
This would be pretty funny, imho.
Dream on lads 😂
He also said we can’t spend like other big clubs like he didn’t spend 150 mil (€) on Nunez and Diaz. He was on a roll with the jokes.
Nunez had 31 G/As this year. Your record signing is a £100 million attacker who had one more goal this season than Jarell Quansah.
Did you even read my comment?? Did I question quality of Nunez? I simply said Klopp also spent money, 20% more or less than other teams.. point is they spent money. Wish people had taken reading and comprehension classes in school more seriously.
