I really liked this as an ending. Not that I dislike when players are crying, but it was nice to see him just loving the moment instead. No better way to go out.

As a madridista never been more worried about a player leaving us then Kroos. We will have to change our entire system. All the long diagonal passes to Carvalaj and Vini Jr and the side change plus the calm in the possession keep by helping Rudi and Nacho and you never see them get cornered or pressured because kroos is always there helping them making himself available to a pass.
This is going to be the actual transition period imo. Dude was orchestrating the play for 9 years that the system is going to completely change now. I'm really excited to see how carlo handles this and who's going to rise to the occasion (I'm betting on bellingham).

Tchoameni isn't that type of player who distributes the ball like Xabi or control it like Kroos, but I expect a 4 man midfield from next season even during normal league games.
I think defensively speaking we are in a good shape. But we will need to figure out a new way to carry the ball forward and into the flanks.
Kroos will sure be missed, no doubt. But he is also leaving at a good time as we are incredibly lucky to have 2 amazing CDMs in both Tchou and Camavinga. I would be much more worried if we didn’t have a solid CDM. The club did so well in the way they’ve managed to replace Casemiro.
That Kroos-Carvajal connection was absolutely insane this season. I'd like to see a stat of Kroos long passes because I'd argue they were mostly targeted to Carvajal, and he ALWAYS had a great touch to control it.
I really hope he does, that would be considered the best retirement ever. Winning your 6th UCL, winning the Euro, and if he does that he needs to win the Ballon D'Or for sure.
He's already completed the lot at club level at least, winning the Euros would be the perfect send-off for him as I believe that is the one trophy he has yet to win
Never seen him so animated. It's a befitting end to a spectacular career at Madrid. I am not a Madrista but have respects for this man along with Modric. The old guard of Madrid is fading and is being replaced by talented youngsters. As a fan of the game, it's a great comfort to see that the club will maintain its high standards and give a good fight in Spain and Europe.
Hope Kroos continues to enthrall us with his performances in Europe and not make a sudden decision to play in a desert league or US.
