It looked so effortless. He just went there and did that as if it's the most obvious thing to do. Why is everybody else overcomplicating this "scoring goals" thing?
He was super composed. Did a little dummy finish to get the keeper to commit and then launched it high. Knew exactly how much time he had and what he wanted to do.
He's at fault for both allowed and disallowed goals. He kept himself low for the 3rd goal when he should be expecting a lob over him because that's the only shot that would go in from that angle. For the disallowed goal, he should be covering that near post tight but he left some space to his right.
Just inexperience from a very young goalkeeper.
There's not a defender within 5 yards of the ball from the time Sabi crosses the half way line - keeper maybe should do better, but the entire rest of the team definitely should.
Because every defender was playing the line... except for VVD who didn't notice he was 3 yards behind his teammates until about a second after Sabitzer got the ball - and THEN he tried to play the offside rather than defend.
That was some of the worst defending I've ever seen, and there's no one to blame for the goal but Van Dijk.

Man, I only played third league as striker in austria (which is like 5th league in germany for comparison whatever it is - so amateur league) and I shot most of my goals from that angle. It's fucking hard from that near distance to react to a ball with that kind of speed and hold it, because you can't u need to gamble as keeper

The way the team currently plays it's just insane considering where we had been a couple of years ago where many players even didn't wanted to get nominated and now we made an 90° turn and people are openly admiting that they want to get back on the team.
We will see how our team will developer from here on over the upcoming years. For the moments it's nice to see that the results show a improvement of what we had go the other years.

"pull strings" is either someone is being controlled like a puppet, or someone called in a favor. you probably want "pulls weight"
I think it’s a German phrase slightly modified and translated too literally and also a mistranslation of the German word Strang to String instead of the correct translation Rope:
„an einem Strang ziehen“ - „to pull on the same rope“
Yes if you translate it correctly I think it makes a lot of sense. What I think is that the original commenter wanted to say something to the likes of that but messed it up slightly (maybe even mixing the phrase „pulling their weight“ with that german phrase). It's honestly bizarre. He seemed very attentive to the play and as if he was purposefully standing where he was. But since he can see up the defensive line it makes no sense at all to be there. Cause either he expected the others not to play offside but can clearly see they are and as such should follow suit at least for now, or they're meant to be playing offside and he's just randomly decided not to.
Man fully just lost the plot for a moment there.
I don't think it papered it over, we are aware of his fall off at the end of the season, especially in our Europa exit. And the konaté stinkers were noticed as well

Keeper conceded a 4th from an even tighter angle just after. Ruled out for offside though.
