Werenât we cut off from the universe cause of the space cash incident in the pinewood derby episode ? Cause come to think of they havenât encountered anything alien related since
Iâd be down but theyâd have to pull
Something out the wazoo for them to give us a second chance. Which I feel like thatâs a loose end since Earth was never âcancelledâ
Perhaps a second group of aliens belonging to the Galactic Empire shows up and let us join them, then we have a whole season or so that's just a Star Wars parody
This is splitting hairs but it's POSSIBLE the visitors were already on or in close proximity to Earth when the barrier went up, and they just can't fly farther than the moon
That would explain the stereotypical aliens still being around (if they are, not sure if there are any Easter Eggs of them after Earth got canceled.) as well.
Honestly, that season did rock! Whale wars, wrestling, pirate, ghosts of the x3 death celebrity conspiracy, Kenny died of fucking BS cause.. . Then also... the coon
Game show. Still after all humanity's fuck ups...we still hate, kill, and destroy, and cover it up with hallmark "love", that ONLY helps if another profits.
So, yep.... people love to see others suffer. (Butters would never imagine that shit, even as Professor Chaos )
The episode Cancelled happened first [season 7 episode 1] the Imaginationland story ark happened second [season 11 episodes 10-12] Pinewood Derby [season 13 episode 6] would also have relevance here. I will be discussing all the mentioned episodes. If you haven't watched them, don't read. This is my spoiler warning.
So, theoretically, both could be true. In the original timeline, we [Earth] were an intergalactic reality show almost canceled but saved by a boy photographing two Joozians sucking each others jagons.
And then later, as an indirect consequence of a terroristic attack of the embodiment of the human imagination, Al Gore launches a missile to defeat ManBearPig and blows up all of Imaginationland, causing Butters Scotch to reimagine, well, everything.
It would then probably be up for debate of whether or not Butters could reimagine things he has no knowledge of as there was a human memory wipe at the end of Cancelled. He should have no knowledge of Joozians or the intergalactic reality show, so, therefore, how could he reimagine this into existence?
Or was Imaginationland contained to just Earth's collective imagination, and therefore, the multitude of aliens we've encountered in South Park would remain intact?
Either way it would probably become a moot point after the episode Pinewood Derby [Season 13 Episode 6] any galactic life we've encountered that survived the reimagining would have be lost to us when McGee-zax sealed off Earth and isolated it from the rest of the universe as punishment when Earth failed the test to determine readiness to join the intergalactic community.
I remember thinking the season when Cancelled happened was ANCIENT as a teenager yet I remember when season 11 was coming out. Weird how your perception of time changes with age.
There's also the episode where Baby Fuark McGeezax and co seal off planet earth from the rest of the universe thanks to Randy and his Pinewood Derby car, which kind of contradicts the earth being a tv show.
I just see it as a show as they kinda break the 4th wall with Kenny being aware he dies same with cartman. Itâs an easy out answer but I think thatâs why itâs funnier as a satire because itâs almost aware itâs a show.
Real life is more prevalent over imagination land. That being said imaginary things are in fact real so butters is infinite multiverse level in power scaling
I recently rewatched The Never Ending Story and the ending has the kid imagine everything in Fantasia back in existence. I didnât remember the connection when I first watched this episode but itâs definitely there.
Butters reimagining everyone back into existence, because it happened after the canceled episode and Butters was never aware that earth was a game show, so once he reimagined everything back into existence he reimagined a world where earth never was a game show but it is still exactly the way it was as if it were designed to be a game show.
I love this post. That's one of my favorite episodes. So just remember Matt and Trey were being threatened with cancelation and definitely didn't want to be; they had so many more ideas. I don't think it's canon, but it doesn't matter lol

Lol this is a good question.. I'm a go with the original set up earth being a show butters only had power in imagination land not earth
Imaginaaaationnn
EeeemaginAaAAaAaAAaaashun đ”
Thats where that key change happened
No man, it went up in there: imaaAAA? ImAAaa?
Plus, in the meta sense.. it's still taking place on a show... that were watching so technically never left the show
Yea, apparently EARTH is still getting pretty good ratings. That or the producers are still afraid of the boys sharing the photo.
You must have some joozamek ancestry
I can't believe they sucked eachothers jagons...
No Butters, that only works in imaginationland! Youâre grounded mister!
Aw, hamburgers!
And Mexico. He has power there too
Good point, I've wondered about this for so long lol
I mean butters imaging that earth as a show would fit with his character a bit

Actually tsot took place after the pinewood derby incident and there was an entire level on the visitor ship.

Well said. I must now review.
The Stick of Truth in question:
That could have just been tv drama.
It's probably not considered canon, but Stick of Truth has aliens
Nice catch
Oh no! Not Finland! Hey guys, Finland's dead.
Was the Derby episode before or after the John Edwards episode, where he was elected giant douche of the universe?

Butters the Creator is descendant of the game show universe.
Agreed
Itâs a reality show
Game show. Still after all humanity's fuck ups...we still hate, kill, and destroy, and cover it up with hallmark "love", that ONLY helps if another profits. So, yep.... people love to see others suffer. (Butters would never imagine that shit, even as Professor Chaos )
âSave that picture children, something tells me itâs important.â Chef.
Yeah suck my jaagon
Oh YEAH! now stick your finger in my thrusher!
Butters imagined both everyone and the game show into existence.
Especially the part where they suck each others jagons.
I just want to know what happened to the picture of the aliens sucking each others jagons!!!???
Oh, man. I can't believe I sucked your jagon.
Or sticking a finger in their threshers
First one, then the other
Yes
Its a game show and Butters imagining into existence was a shitty idea the owner of the network had to advertise his dying show
Well one should exist inside of the other
What episode is the butters thing from)
I'd like to know this too! If I had to take a wild guess, possibly Imagination Land?
It is Imagination Land.
Itâs from the end of the Imagination Land trilogy.
Honestly I wouldnât be surprised because with all the shit my epilepsy has done to me I would not be surprised if my life was a game show

Butters imagination now, because he didn't know about space Weinstein brothers.
They aren't mutually exclusive. Earth is just made up of random species
Can't it be both
There's also the episode where Baby Fuark McGeezax and co seal off planet earth from the rest of the universe thanks to Randy and his Pinewood Derby car, which kind of contradicts the earth being a tv show.
Itâs from another universe they kinda explained all of this on the panderverse special. Which ever panders to you.
I believe that Butters is the singularity
No that was just Earthâs imagination.
What episode is the bottom picture?
I just see it as a show as they kinda break the 4th wall with Kenny being aware he dies same with cartman. Itâs an easy out answer but I think thatâs why itâs funnier as a satire because itâs almost aware itâs a show.
Real life is more prevalent over imagination land. That being said imaginary things are in fact real so butters is infinite multiverse level in power scaling
Why not both?
What about the third? That everything is a VR game
Can't it be both?
Both can be true, when the universe collapsed and butters had to imagine everything that doesnât disprove the aliens reality show
Butters only reimagined Imagination Land, not everything.

YES!
Hey, you earthlings wanna try a little BLECH?!
I love this post. That's one of my favorite episodes. So just remember Matt and Trey were being threatened with cancelation and definitely didn't want to be; they had so many more ideas. I don't think it's canon, but it doesn't matter lol
Yes
Itâs a cartoon dude
Butters imagined everyone *in imaginationland* into existence
I've wondered about this for so long lol
Neither are reality, they are both imaginative creations in an animated fantasy.
