Well, he's half right. It depends on the wording of the specific ability, so you'll need to read each one individually. Teleport Homer just says "this unit", so it works on attached Leaders as well. However, if an ability says something like "models in this unit with this ability", or "KEYWORD models in this unit", and the Leader doesn't also have that ability or keyword, then it *doesn't* work on the Leader. You'll also sometimes see restrictions like "if every model in the unit has this ability", which, of course, don't work unless they meet that requirement.
