God damn... he's was soooo good those first two years. 33.5 sacks in 32 games. I'd tell everyone here to look up his highlights from those two years. He was powerful but its was the damn speed and agility that couldn't be stopped. He was so athletic I've never seen an OT trip and fall with out ever being touched multiple times in a game.
See I’d get it if he had had one, maybe two, bad incidents a while ago. But this guy has consistently been in trouble for a decade, getting arrested over and over for dumb shit for years. Most recently arrested for DUI just over two years ago and got sent to jail last April. Hopefully he has totally turned things around now, however I worry that if he’s going to be a “mentor” to rookies that he may slip up himself and become a bad influence for them. He got multiple chances in the NFL after “becoming a changed man” and always would slip up.
I’ve never done heroin, but know some former addicts of both. Maybe I should’ve prefaced with social facing. Kicking heroin is hard but no one at the office wants to go do heroin at Friday at 5.
Keep up the fight dude
Ha it’s all good man. For sure alcohol is always there in your face, but once you are exposed to the underbelly of society like most addicts are, you come to realize heroin/meth/crack is probably not much more out of reach than a vodka and soda is in most urban areas.
You want to stop by the feed and grain store and get some needleless syringes to lay over the top bleacher and boof meth up our asses? You just bring the Vaseline, distilled water and a shot glass. I dunno how I'd get through the kids peewee softball games without it.
He's using himself as an example which is a good thing. "Look at me, I'm fucked up, addicted, and broke." Dude could have gotten a 9 figure badge if he kept his shit together.
Yeah but it’s not like these guys are gonna be living with him like an adopted parent.
Honestly, he’s probably closer to the guy you call if you get in trouble.
Let’s have a warm LT WELCOME..to Bobby Bouche..c’mon Bobby..(bunch of middle school kids clapping)..now tell me Bobby, what is your secret, how do you find yourself in the right position all the time..(LT voice)
Th..thha..thaaa..that’s a good question..wh…wha..whaaaats what happened is..de..dee..der’s a centtter..that has da ball foist..an..and..and uh the quattaback will say HIKE..that’s when da centaa puts the ball in da:.da hands of da quaaattaback..so waat I do is..I..III..stawrt tacklin da quaaattaback…uu…unless he get da ball to somebody else..i..n…in which case…I…I’ll try da take that pearson…(middle school kids silence)…..hmmmmmmm(LT)….gentlemen..which brings me to my next point..DONT. SMOKE. CRACK. (Bunch of middle school kids nod theirs heads)…..
Good for him. Nice to see someone get their shit together from a dark place. Even better to see them turn around and use their experiences in life to teach those coming up. Kudos.
I remember seeing him at a Ruth's Chris in SF. Years after he retired, man looked coked out and barely ate the food he ordered, which was alot. He and the girl he was with looked drugged out of their minds. Good on him to make a turnaround and try to impact the upcoming stars in the league.
He hasn’t even gotten his shit together. He obviously can’t handle not having any attention. He was in jail last year. This will backfire. He probably doesn’t even have a year of no booze under his belt.
Sat next to his family at a very calm east coast game. His family were yelling at fans, stadium workers and just trying to start trouble the whole time. They were cursing and dropping loud racist comments and it was very awkward with families and kids all around them.
Ehh I’d argue someone like Ryan Leaf, who has been in the doldrums of drug addiction, has successfully turned his life around and is using it to help others. Why can’t Smith?
I hope Aldon Smith does well in life. I understand the underbelly and theory of it all but usually these “mentors” wind up messing right back up….
Sorry to not believe the dude who sleeps underneath cars and burns through millions to help the new recruits.
He’s either a perfect example or very close to messing up another opportunity

“I’m not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example”. Aldon Smith

It’s one of those “what could have been”. He was a beast.

Alcohol is a hell of a drug.
Hardest to kick. It’s not socially acceptable overall to be like hey man we’re watching the broncos game want to split an 8 ball?
As a former alcoholic and heroin addict I assure you the heroin was a touch harder to kick than the alcohol.
I’ve never done heroin, but know some former addicts of both. Maybe I should’ve prefaced with social facing. Kicking heroin is hard but no one at the office wants to go do heroin at Friday at 5. Keep up the fight dude

Im not gonna sit here and say its easy to stop drinking, but are you insane? The hardest? You ever suck dick for beer?
I don’t think people who suck dick for crack want to quit crack
🤔 someone really needed to lmk sooner.

It's a do as I say, not as I do situation. Whatever is moving in the right direction for him and those around him is positive
He's using himself as an example which is a good thing. "Look at me, I'm fucked up, addicted, and broke." Dude could have gotten a 9 figure badge if he kept his shit together.

He had his issues from tht beginning but he really spiraled after Kaep stole his gf.
Gentlemen, which brings me to my next point. Don't smoke crack.

This guy could have been a hall of famer if he wasn’t a hall of fame idiot
Good for him. Nice to see someone get their shit together from a dark place. Even better to see them turn around and use their experiences in life to teach those coming up. Kudos.
He’s an addict for the rest of his life. He will always be a foot away from a dark place.
This dude was an all timer in Madden

Lol do you really want Aldon Smith mentoring anyone

MIZ!
ZOU
NO
Hey! Go Chiefs! Wide right ;)
" Man who makes really bad decisions and destroys his career gives advice to others" Let's see how this plays out
Ehh I’d argue someone like Ryan Leaf, who has been in the doldrums of drug addiction, has successfully turned his life around and is using it to help others. Why can’t Smith?
This is too soon. He has no legitimacy until he really cleans himself up and stayed out of trouble for years.
"Which leads me to my next point: don't smoke crack."
Take half your paycheque, dump it into VT. Rinse, repeat.
What about VLTs? aint nothing wrong w VLTs and gettin drunk
Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn’t, she didn’t go. Fuckin way she goes boys
wasn’t he just in trouble recently?
The blind leading the blind
My time!!
Dude needs to worry about his SELF! This is so stupid. He was in jail like last year and probably doesn’t even have a year of sobriety under his belt.

What is this, Bull Durham?
