Dont forget to Touch the Cup, and Finish and Connect.
"Kearstin, starting your first Caramel Crunch Frap, first of 136 drinks"
"Kearstin, your Summer Berry, 47 of 136 drinks is ready. Got any weekend plans?"
Why do we allow this stuff. Luckily I've never had an order like this happen in my store. What do you do for drive times and customers behind this one?
Iād actually go grab a sleeve of the ice cups they will be needing then prep all the cups for the fraps so that way I can rinse dump and pour. Especially if I only 1 blender. Grab a 4 whole milks and a sleeve or 2 of grande ice cups and ask for buckets of ice to be ready
Honestly if you can get someonebto get the extra shit for you and then prep the cups with the whip and stuff (and maybe they can come along behind and add the toppings too), then itd be pretty quick to pump frap roast and pour milk into one grande cup, pour it, do that 3, maybe even 4 times and then scoop your ice and blend. While thats going do the frozen lemonades or the chocolate cookie crumbles with the other blender (I know OP said they were down one but in an ideal setting)
I mean that 60 fraps. Each blender can hold 3 ventis so if they were all the same it would take about 13-14 batches which is an insane amount on its own š. Plus when it comes to big orders depending on time of day itās better to have 1 person deal with the big order. Atleast at my store say itās peak and we have 3 bar and a big order came through That 3rd bar would handle that order. Get done and out while keeping the flow going. If itās night it might depend how late it is. Could be better to have the other barista focus on tasks or the smaller orders while you handle the order. Atleast thatās how I would do it with how inefficient our Veteran partners are at my store. I got 3 people Iād trust to be fast on bar that aināt a shift at my store.
RIP, in the case of your manager, I would have activated malicious compliance mode, follow exact standard and never batch. Orders will be completed when they're completed.
Because if they were union and it was that bad they could do a work stoppage for one. Thatās just an immediate thing they could have done. Being union helps many others things.
It seems like you need more info on the subject. Head on over and get in touch?
Edit: My store did a work stoppage once due to understaffing on a holiday weekend. We walked out around 1pm and shut the store down for the rest of the day.
Are you in a store where the OC doesnāt communicate well? You should already know these things then. Do you know about your regionās weekly meetings?
Honestly, in those moments, Iām choosing not to suffer. The customers will suffer because nobody should expect me to crank out a hundred drinks quickly. This lady can take her melted blended drinks home after the 30 minutes it takes and the other customers can get annoyed all they want cuz Lord knows itās not my fault
genuinely how the fuck??? honestly kudos to yāall for putting up with this ā iāve endured some shit through the years but 136 drinks with all channels open would have made me snap and walk out because thatās just stupid.
Manager should keep the workers in mind above everything else in this situation. What do you mean you're not gonna close off channels when you have this and you're down a blender?
True.
I would like to say though, if i were store manager and had been there, I would have been helping so hard!
If i had not been there i would definitely ordered pizza for them or something!
I would have closed one channel if the DM let me also
And if I had been there or not I would have reminded my baristas that although each customer is important, small orders arebhust important as karge orders.
So yeah, we"d wanna slowly 'hurry' with the big order, just to get rid of them,
but the others are not in any way gonna suffer because of the big hoarder order.
Meaning, the big order will have to wait.
Even if it means doing 1 dt order
1cafe 1 hoarder order
Or even 2 dt orders I hoarder then 2 cafe!
Or better sequence.
I dunno, while I'd be semi excited for sales and the easy "merchant mindset" (we have this flyer in our store that says that), I would wanna hustle more on the other orders, ESPECIALLY since this fool didn't even mobile order !
My biggest question, and perhaps i shall even post it separately, please say, if this is real, did they even tip?
because of this, with my experience at sbux, I realized how deep the managers were drawn in and it felt culty (thatās the best word I can try to describe it sorry). money > treating your workers like human beings. the ridiculous rules, treating us like slaves, feeling everyoneās anxiety when a DM rarely comes in and having to be on your ābest behaviorā. it made me want to run. (btw not all SM are bad or anything, but thereās def some out there that it feels like they worship their DM)
Obviously managers would not turn it down, thats business. but it is unfair to the employees and itās upsetting. Im sure they didnāt call ahead either.
This person isnāt implying the manager should have turned down this massive order. They should have instead closed other channels (mainly MOP) so less orders were pouring in on top of this massive one
Dude the facade that is customer service mode would drop the instant someone even tries to order 30 frappachinos regardless of what comes after, like, how the fuck are they even transporting 136 drinks??
Flashing back to my first store which was across from a sizable office park with lots of doctors offices. Though it was never THIS extreme, we were constantly getting the drug dealers coming in and ordering upwards of 30 drinks to bribe the doctors, in top of regular business. Thank everything considered holy that it was a cafe only store and mobile ordering/deliveries were non-existent.
oh they absolutely did not lmfao. this bitch walked in one day and said āoh i have just a few drinksā and proceeded to order FORTY FIVE fucking drinks and like 20 food items (and cleared out the rtd&e case we had JUST replenished) but not without hitting me with the āi donāt actually know what anyone wants, they told me to get whateverā. i was about to do 45 iced chais and she was like āoh well i was thinking something easy like frapsā¦ā and had 501 questions about every single thing she ordered. we were running a 3 man play on a bogo sunday during peak, i had to straight up tell her i donāt have time to answer 10 different questions about the mocha frap. get the shit or donāt, take one look around and maybe read the room for christās sake
i started questioning my morals from mine š the whole transaction took roughly 15 minutes because of how severely underprepared she was. i could have been nicer but she was playing it off as āoh itās fine, you guys seem to be handling it!ā when we were physically struggling lol
Please, for the love of the twin tailed siren and all of her tadpoles, tell me that this wasnāt a to go order. Please tell me that atleast the drinks ,all those drinks, that were made to perfection were able to be enjoyed and not fraps turned to craps.
Every Togo/mobile bulk order breaks by coffee bean sized heart.
Wait do sirens lay eggs?
okay yall i just asked the partner who rang this in, and apparently it was for a middle school. weāre located a block away from one. probably for a whole grade
Itās the way I wouldāve just taken off my apron and hand it over to Kearsten and tell her to have fun making her 136 drinks. And if my SM wonāt let us shut down ALL channels until this outrageous order was complete, Iād have a panic attack.
By the time the last drinks are done the first ones are going to be melted and gross. Were you also pushing other cafe orders during this time? Or were you telling customers after her that they would be waiting an hour for their drink? How long did this take to make?
I have so many questions and wish there was more conetext, like.. why?! How long did this order take? Was it just one person ordering or was there a group present? How were all the drinks transported to the customer(s)? Did they not realize the drinks that were made early on would melt by the time the order is finished? Good lord
Sad part is it will only count as one customer , also next year on the same day that bump of a transaction will increase the stores expected performance forecast
I would simply say no to that order. Thatās going to take an hour to make!!! The first drinks will no longer be good once the last one is done.
Idk why people think they can just walk into shops and do shit like this. STARBUCKS ARE NOT CATERERS!!!
Ugh, just thinking about how all of these blended drinks are gonna be melted and separated before you can even finish making them, let alone before she can transport all of them to the function and dole them out to all 100+ people who are ādefinitely gonna Venmo her!āš
Dont forget to Touch the Cup, and Finish and Connect. "Kearstin, starting your first Caramel Crunch Frap, first of 136 drinks" "Kearstin, your Summer Berry, 47 of 136 drinks is ready. Got any weekend plans?"
Ur a great person LOL i love the way u think š¤
Pronounce her name wrong every single time as well
"Creatine, your grande mango dragonfruit refresher, 16 of 32! Did you want a straw with that?"
mind you, we were down a blender.
ššš
Where was your manager?? Or shift supervisor?? And why are they getting paid to not manage???
iām so sorry for your loss
zLFMAOAOAOA
Why do we allow this stuff. Luckily I've never had an order like this happen in my store. What do you do for drive times and customers behind this one?
What the fuck, Kearstin?!
what can i say, kearstin needed to be quenched
Iām genuinely curious as to what she did with them all. Thatās wild
Some sort of team something? 136? Marching band maybe?
I'm more concerned about how she transported them
True, she would need an army to carry them all
Id actually NOT batch fraps in this scenario and make them first before the other drinks.
No, start with the Frz blended drinks
Iād actually go grab a sleeve of the ice cups they will be needing then prep all the cups for the fraps so that way I can rinse dump and pour. Especially if I only 1 blender. Grab a 4 whole milks and a sleeve or 2 of grande ice cups and ask for buckets of ice to be ready

you guys have other people at your store ????š
I mean that 60 fraps. Each blender can hold 3 ventis so if they were all the same it would take about 13-14 batches which is an insane amount on its own š. My location only has one cold bar lmao. So weāre constantly running over each other to make refreshers and fraps
I know you are a human and not an animal but your comment here, it makes me see you as my spirit animal. ššš
āGreat! 136 drinks at a minute each will take us a little over two hours. Will you be coming back or would you like to have a seat in our lobby?
Wait! You guys get a minute?? Must be nice! Hahaha
Yeah I know I was being very generous š
Having a panic attack just LOOKING at this, what the fuck???
uhh i would turn off all channels until this is complete
oh my manager did not do that at all, we SUFFERED
RIP, in the case of your manager, I would have activated malicious compliance mode, follow exact standard and never batch. Orders will be completed when they're completed.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Dang. It would be shame if you went to sbworkersunited dot org and began to organize with a union partner/organizer near you. š
How would that help in this specific scenario lol
Because if they were union and it was that bad they could do a work stoppage for one. Thatās just an immediate thing they could have done. Being union helps many others things. It seems like you need more info on the subject. Head on over and get in touch? Edit: My store did a work stoppage once due to understaffing on a holiday weekend. I already work at a union store
Are you in a store where the OC doesnāt communicate well? You should already know these things then. Do you know about your regionās weekly meetings?
OC?
Organizing committee. They are the union leaders in your store.
I don't think we have any lol
Honestly, in those moments, Iām choosing not to suffer. The customers will suffer because nobody should expect me to crank out a hundred drinks quickly. Damn that sucks. How did they not all melt while you were halfway through? Or did they? š
Again, starbucks is not a catering service. No surprise manager didnāt turn anything off, or say no to this order. Bullshit
Do you really think any manager in their right mind would say no to $800 in sales? Do you know that this is a business?
Manager should keep the workers in mind above everything else in this situation. What do you mean you're not gonna close off channels when you have this and you're down a blender?
Most Starbucks managers I worked with would not have given a flying fuck about the workers. They just see the bottom line.
Yeah thats unfortunately how it is, and i hate it :/
Yep. Had 1 manager over 5 years of my time with sbux who actually gave a fuck. She quit after a few months because she ended up hating the company lol
True. I would like to say though, if i were store manager and had been there, I would have been helping so hard! If i had not been there i would definitely ordered pizza for them or something! I would have closed one channel if the DM let me also And if I had been there or not I would have reminded my baristas that although each customer is important, small orders arebhust important as karge orders. Starbucks hasnāt been hiring managers, theyāve been hiring minions. Thatās why external hires for management are so common.
No DM would ever give a manager permission to do that. It isn't up to them
This is what I was wondering- especially if not Ordered at 24 hours in advance
Thatāsā¦ well thatās just a dick move.
Hope she enjoyed her melted Frappuccinoās and frozen strawberry aƧaĆ lemonades!
Nuh uh I need to see a printed receipt because I refuse to believe this is real lol. How obnoxious
Looking at this just gave me so much anxiety. I am so sorry
Christ, we aren't a catering company
Dude the facade that is customer service mode would drop the instant someone even tries to order 30 frappachinos regardless of what comes after, like, how the fuck are they even transporting 136 drinks??
how did they even transport these like
What the hell does she need 136 drinks for?? I'd say no. No you may not, we are not a catering company.
god i hate rich people
HEAVY
Ain't no damn way this is real š¤£
thatās what i was saying while sobbing into cups, handing out a million salty fraps
If that mf didn't tip they need a vip unlimited 1st class rapid pass to hell
im really curious as to why,, was she bringing the drinks somewhere, or did she have like 100+ people with her?? and how did this go for you guys?š
can you give us a detailed breakdown of how yāall handled this i am so curious š„¹š PROPS TO YOU ALL HOLY SHIT
Mmmm melted two hour old frappe
Flashing back to my first store which was across from a sizable office park with lots of doctors offices. that total is more than what I make every week š
it's more than what I make every 2 weeks
SAME š
1. I hate making over 5 frappes in one setting 2. What the fuck KEARSTEN U EVILLLL 3. I would mentally breakdown
Please tell me they gave you days notice to order extra product and prepare. Or at least tipped.
Lmao have you met Starbucks customers? You know they didnāt do either. Maybe threw a dollar in the tip jar.
oh they absolutely did not lmfao. this bitch walked in one day and said āoh i have just a few drinksā and proceeded to order FORTY FIVE fucking drinks and like 20 food items (and cleared out the rtd&e case we had JUST replenished) but not without hitting me with the āi donāt actually know what anyone wants, they told me to get whateverā. i was about to do 45 iced chais and she was like āoh well i was thinking something easy like frapsā¦ā and had 501 questions about every single thing she ordered. we were running a 3 man play on a bogo sunday during peak, i had to straight up tell her i donāt have time to answer 10 different questions about the mocha frap. get the shit or donāt, take one look around and maybe read the room for christās sake
Good lord the internal rant I would have been suppressing
i started questioning my morals from mine š the whole transaction took roughly 15 minutes because of how severely underprepared she was. i could have been nicer but she was playing it off as āoh itās fine, you guys seem to be handling it!ā when we were physically struggling lol
Immediately no
WHY?????? THEYRE GONNA BE WATERED DOWN GARBAGE BEFORE ANYONE EVEN TAKES A SIP?????? I donāt understand this AT ALL. Pure brainrot
i wanna know how long this whole order took. INSANE
pictures of the aftermath please?
i wouldāve gave her my apron because no wayyyy
We need an update
And a photo
YOURE LYINGGGGG
Hey I know this store
Me too! Crazy how we recognized it with such little info.
Hi Nick!
Supp friend!
I quit 2 years ago and I felt panic looking at this
This feels illegal
I bet the first drink you made was a week expired by the time you got to the end š
What?
Like do you ask if they want a carrier or just line them up?! I would put them in a pyramid
I absolutely hate the way that name is spelled
I'm scared to ask how long this took to make and just...WHY?
How long did this take you guys?
Itās the way I wouldāve just taken off my apron and hand it over to Kearsten and tell her to have fun making her 136 drinks. And if my SM wonāt let us shut down ALL channels until this outrageous order was complete, Iād have a panic attack.
my entire team agrees that we would quit on the spot. And weāre a popular nyc store that is used to crazy numbers but this is just wrong.
144 drinks? Yeah right. I'd quit right on the spot. Fuck that.
But likeā¦ How did they carry them? How many people were with? I have so many questions.
By the time the last drinks are done the first ones are going to be melted and gross. Were you also pushing other cafe orders during this time? Or were you telling customers after her that they would be waiting an hour for their drink? How long did this take to make?
imagine having the balls to order this in person....
Iād laugh in their face and ask deadpan āwhat do you think weāre gonna do? Make all that???ā
this reminds me of when I shut down a wendyās for a work lunch. $600 worth of biggie bags
"Do you need a carrier for these?" and just hand them one (1) holder.
I would just break the blender lmao. And then lie and say we're short of refresher base so I can only make a few our bad.
Did Kearstin reek of weed?
I used to work there at that exact store! Tough store but the coworkers there were always great.
how do you know what store this is š
I worked there for a few years so I have basically memorized the post area. That, and the banquet with the background make it super obvious (to me).
what iām wondering is how did she carry all of these š
God half of those fraps would be soup by the time they were all done
Iām never complaining ever again.
Imagine if that was a Triple Stars Day or bogo š¤Æš¤Æ
How long did it take you to make all this? What did other customers say when you told them someone ordered 100 drinks!?
Oh, and I'm running late for work, do you think your guys can hurry please!?
The kind of manic laughter I let out was wild.
Oh dear god
I'm so sorry. That's all I can say.
$1000 is wild thats actually crazy
the chaos i feel from this is insane š
what could you possible need all those for
Wait , your post actually shows the image of the bills. We just have a quick cash grey button
I have so many questions and wish there was more conetext, like.. why?! How long did this order take? Was it just one person ordering or was there a group present? How were all the drinks transported to the customer(s)? Did they not realize the drinks that were made early on would melt by the time the order is finished? Good lord
Damn
I have so many questions
I'd walk right out š¶
Tell me this aināt real š³š
The way Iād shove as much into a blender as I could at a time. I wouldnāt dare double batchā¦ Iād quadruple batch.
Did they tip?
motherfucker HUH
Absofuckinglutely not! Please tell me you know why tf they needed this many drinks?!
This is why we batch blend
I salute, soldier
the way my jaw dropped
Itās crazy bc a good portion of those drinks are gonna be shit quality by the time they make it to where theyāre going š
Thatās an instant āmy blenders brokeā
I don't believe you lol š
I would have turned off mobiles and delivery at that point. Thatās gotta be so ass
Lmao no fuckin way. Theyre all gonna be melted after like the 4th one. They really think starbucks is catering
Tip?!??
iād kill myself im so fr
and i bet they didn't tip...
why we gotta share a first name
you kearstin or something ?
spelled like Kiersten. I go by Alexa though. Easier to say and spell ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Nah. Id be saying "sorry but an order this large needs to be placed at least a day in advance"
Sad part is it will only count as one customer , also next year on the same day that bump of a transaction will increase the stores expected performance forecast
There really should be a limit per ticket. Imagine how much longer all the other customers have to wait now because of this ridiculously long order.
u guys are never gona believe how many cookie crumbles im about to make in one blend
Down a blender too?? How did yall manage to keep this in flow with other the other drinks ? How many partners/ how long did it take?
Oh. My. God.
Thereās no way this is real. I would walk the fuck out thereās no reason for that.
Imagine being the person who orders after them and then having to wait š„¹ Also how the heck are they gonna carry those out????
I'd go home and look harder for a new job LMAO
thank you for your service
I would simply say no to that order. Thatās going to take an hour to make!!! The first drinks will no longer be good once the last one is done. Idk why people think they can just walk into shops and do shit like this. STARBUCKS ARE NOT CATERERS!!!
What???????
I thought I had seen ridiculous ordersā¦ until now
spend all that money for no coffee. probably for a rich childs birthday party and they donāt know the refreshers have caffeine š
Does she want to add a cake pop to that?
Ugh, just thinking about how all of these blended drinks are gonna be melted and separated before you can even finish making them, let alone before she can transport all of them to the function and dole them out to all 100+ people who are ādefinitely gonna Venmo her!āš
I havenāt been employed at Starbucks for close to two years now and this made me almost cry
Please tell me they ordered ahead of time at least
I do not envy you
Is this real??
she needs to be quenched i supposed
oh i wouldve scanned my sbux app idc
How does one even transport thisš
This has the be a joke š§
oh god
š did u take this in front of them LOL
Immediately no.
just No
She better have gave yall a $350 dollar tip
I love that you took a picture with her standing right there š
Exactly. How long did it take to complete that order?
"May I take your order sir. May I take your Hat sir. May I take your..."
She should of called a week ahead or something this is not okay , what about the other customers
oh brother
Holy mother of god, I would quit on the spot after spitting in her face
current starbucks employee. iād get this shit out in 10 minutes
bless u
