Honestly, I love the non-traditional builds like the lifted WRXs and the like, but if you plan to actually off road at all I would consider saving the money and switching to a Crosstrek/other.

I agree, seems like extra unnecessary steps to start at an Impreza, except that they already own it. OP states they don’t have the money but seems like if they can get all the work done they should That being said my favorite color would be the Beamer, Audi being second which I think you can actually get similar on a subie

My parents bought my car for me. There was a strict budget and I was 17 and had no money of my own saved up. On top of that, since then, I’ve had three trees fall on my car. She’s survived but there’s severe denting and scratches (mostly on the roof, hood, and other side). So, I’d have to eat the cost of that damage if I wanted to trade it atp. So modding it, it is. Plus, I’m excited to have fun with it. I’m expecting to do most/ all of the work myself. So I’m super excited to learn as I go. Thanks for the input on the color!

shuacore

That’s totally valid

sharp-scratch-poem

Nah not really truly off roading. I drive up and down snowy mountain roads and on some dirt roads. Unfortunately though, I’ve had 3 trees fall on my car and there’s some significant denting and scratching. So because of that alone I’d have to eat like 5k.

ZeGermanHam

Step 1: Sell Impreza Step 2: Buy Crosstrek

sharp-scratch-poem

Haha. I agree but like I said…I don’t have the money. I explained it in another comment but here’s the copy and paste.

ZeGermanHam

Gotcha, sounds good.

communalcamp986

Considering your Impreza is dented up and basically only valuable to you, I’d easily pick the Audi green and then just fuck around with it more for fun

ztarleton6

I like the one on the Audi.

Duende_Hunter122

Don’t listen to nay sayers . Do whatever you want . Make it look badass

sharp-scratch-poem

I’m not. Trust. What color do I choose though?!? Help I want a green car so badly and I’m so indecisive!

Duende_Hunter122

Just me but I have a thing for British racing green . That BMW looks like has the closest to that color .

220DRUER220

Beemer green

V0rt0s

None, look up Subaru’s Acadia Green. Find the closest wrap to that and go for it.

letscott

Oh the last color for sure

WeenBot97

I like the green on the BMW, but a wrap will probably get chewed up pretty quick off roading

sharp-scratch-poem

I’m not actually off roading. The most I do is drive up mountain roads in the snow and drive on some dirt roads. I mostly just want to do it for the experience (something to spend 3 days on). And for the look. Thanks for your input on the color!

WeenBot97

Gotcha, have fun! That green reminds me of an old Lotus

AD3PDX

If you want an off-road vehicle that you’ll enjoy off-road OR if you just want your vechicle to look like you enjoyed it offroad then grab a hammer and dent and scratch the hell out of it, cover it with mud, and use a boot to knock the mud off after it dries.

sharp-scratch-poem

The three trees that have fallen on my car have got the dents and scratches covered. The knocking my boots and snowboard off on my car have also helped. What color do I wrap it though?!? I want a green car!!!

AD3PDX

If you live in the PNW I suggest just letting it get covered in moss.

SuspiciousPine

I think dark green looks better with gold wheels

Devilhogg

If you want to build an Impreza go for it! I went with an Impreza cause I wanted the specific blue the 2020 came in and no sunroof with none of the safety options with a 5spd. Spent 2000k on lift, tires and other misc accessories and was great for adventuring the back country and camping. It wasn't a hardcore off roader but had alot of great of roading experiences with her. Now I am moving on to a 24 Outback Wilderness cause I want to step up the capabilities but the impreza is more than ok spot to start with. https://preview.redd.it/x9ac866s9cyc1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=d94e7048ffbe36abdf09a9d2daffa95f9ca85d0b Ohh and all said and done it came out cheaper than the same trim level in the outback. Save money? Not all the time. But if you can get a 2.5L model that will help out!

Educational_Leg946

I like the green on the Beamer! I’ve got an outback a similar color and always get compliments on the color of it. I like the look of the Impreza personally!

chimmichiru

i know it’s not one of the colors you mentioned lol but i’m painting my ‘05 outback eucalyptus green. it’s an old honda color and it looks fantastic :) look it up and see if you like it

IstvanKun

I would go with pink, for better visibility.

GreenChileEnchiladas

Color is fine. Why would you change it?

goon_c137

I wouldn't.

turtleiscool1737

For a serious off-road look go with crosstrek

bo_jangled

The silver bronze combo goes hard. Ask me how I know 😉 https://preview.redd.it/yp7stooi8byc1.png?width=2965&format=png&auto=webp&s=13b4d0a2992d558c5bf4efdd864e912e5d5158f7
