defensive is not who you put on the field its about how you play.you can put all 10 strikers and still can play defence and you can put 10 defenders and still can play offensive.

I don’t ever see us being successful in a low or mid block. Especially when Fenerbahce and Galatasaray played super high, aggressive styles.
Players like Kerem, Ferdi, BAY, Arda, Kenan are all used to playing very high lines. Ferdi is not a good defender in the back foot, but he is great at defending from the front.
Turkish players can’t distinguish between playing mid block and playing passive.
You can play a low or mid block but still defend aggressively, but when we play mid block, our front line and midfield basically back track until the opposition is in the box.
Also, I would much prefer to play a pressing game and lose, than play like today and get embarrassed.
I agree, even when we got the ball, we couldn't beat the press to counter attack. At this point why even go full defensive? We also kept trying to build from the back when our GK couldn't pass straight.
Our defence was shambles coz Portugal could press well compared to us, when we pressed we looked shambles besides the 1/2 times.
There players could handle our press compared to theirs nearly killing us each time
