This will be a breeze, mark my words. Austria are in a weak situation currently. We play basically at home and will enjoy a confident and stellar performance, expecting no less than a 3-0 win for us to crush their hopes of advancing into QF.
Our atmosphere is PERFECT, the best in Europe we are not matched by any fangroup I can think of, we haven't lost to other EURO ultras in 20 years.
Our mental strength is the greatest it has ever been - from 2 EUROs of mediocrity to this wonderful squad bombing down the pitch with Arda opening up the defense like Moses parted the sea.
Tonight will be a day to be remembered, proud to be a Turkish fan and most of all laughing at the other jealous fans jealous at our recent success!
Fear us, Fear Turkey, Fear the power.

We might break Europe if our path to a championship is eliminating; Austria, Netherlands, England, and Germany. Will it happen? Obviously not. Would it be marvelous? Beyond incredible.
I think we’re in for a heartbreak today, unfortunately. Hope I’m wrong, but an organized and well coached team salivates at the thought of playing us; just vibes and individual effort/brilliance.
Here’s to a surprising, but clearly welcomed victory for us! 🤞🏻 🇹🇷
Don’t think we have a chance might not be 6-1 this time but I can see at most a tight 3-2 defeat.
Most likely a 3-1 win to Austria though we just don’t have good enough defenders and wasting baris at attack again for 60 minutes feels like just a invite to see him finally burned out at the tournament once he has to go down to the wing again because we can’t find a goal.
Also no calhanoglu Orkun has been such a disappointment for the NT so far.
I think we should just be happy we got out of the groups and with 2 wins on top of saving us from an embarrassing scenario from last tournament. If we can just consistently do that every time we qualify or consistently qualify in the future I think it’s good enough.
Warning!
Upcoming game is intended for mature audiences and will likely contain adult content, graphic violence. Viewer discretion is advised.

Edit: Thank FG I was way off.
Without Hakan there to orchestrate I think we will see a proper number 10 performance from Arda. He will be the only focal point whereas before there was Hakan too. So it could all come down to whether he has a good game or not.
Wether we win or lose today, the two things the Mili Takim needs to take with them in september or future tourneys is cut the negatives out and implement new ideas. (insert here your ideas) We have to give them credit though Making out of the group after 2 tourneys is an accomplishment Our goals should always be the next stage. Euro 2024 is one of the greatest examples of what a young team can do Hopefully in the nations league and euro 2028 we can fix whatever mistakes we have and be proud of our boys.
Turkiye has never really had any long term planning or strategy when it comes to football, in many ways the national team is run no different then the clubs. Its basically from one week to next. So I've not seen any real long term strategy over the last 20 years, i dont expect people like hamit or the the other one to institute some long term strategy. Only yesterday we had to sack a shit manager in Kuntz, who seemed like he only got the job because he was friends with hamit. Then we got montella which at the time seemed like a lazy and desperate appointment. Though i will give him credit, he got us to the tournament and as it stands he got us to knockout stages.
Now if we could constantly have a mid to long term plan, excellent but it doubt it happens. The crazy thing of course is with players like arda, kenan, can uzun, etc. We hit a jackpot year in terms of talent moving forward. If you got one of those players every couple of years you would be happy, but to get them all at the same time is amazing. If Turkiye gets another year like that over the next 5 years, from being a shitty team we could end up being a really dangerous team.
But if i'm a gambling man i would expect more of the same, mostly failure with the odd good tournament. especially considering the comparative quality of the Turkish league has massively dropped over the years. Then to make matters worse the Turkish fans see the Turkish league as something super special so poor players have no pressure or incentive to improve themselves.
I agree with you we just need that perfect coach that sees the rising stars and let them play them together. Even though we have experince with every tournament we need to stick to our guns and see these players flourish im not trying to make it political or anything but it does start from the top, and whatever trickles down affects managment and players.
Bilic was once asked what the problem with Turkish football was, he said; "the ones with knowledge have no power and the ones with all the power have no knowledge." If we can change this, then yeah i can see us succeeding, but if we don't then nothing will change.
It should have been
Mert (I hate him but still)
Mert Ahmetcan Merih Ferdi
Okay Ismail
BAY Arda Kenan/Kerem
Semih/Cenk
Cenk for 20-30min at the end. You need to match Austria's physicality.
I hate saying this again, but we're doomed. Obv I hope for the best, but it's the German in me, I see no way we can win against Austria. Couldn't do shit against a 10 man Czechia, what are we gonna do against tactically, physically and mentally superior Austrians.
Sorry bros, I'm convinced this is the end of the line. The child in my has hopes, but it aint happening :/
Yeah if we play like that again we will get destroyed. But every game has a different story. We kinda relaxed after the red card. They were the ones who needed a goal and they couldn't create many chances. Of course we were even worse but i would like to think it would have been different if we were behind.
The key point is this imo. We will never dominate against any team. We will always concede chances. Our games will always be chaotic against good teams. But we can outscore most teams because of our individual talents. So we need to field players who can directly change the score. That's why Güler has to play. He can be a ghost for 70 minutes but score 2 screamers. We also need to play a st but everybody here knows that and says that. Montella is not stupid but he is such a fucking coward that it disgusts me. Sorry for the rant at the end.
It’s good he’s not playing. It would’ve been his 2nd game after the blunder, which means he was going to blunder again. Now if we make it he’ll be back to 0

Austria market value €237M while Turkey market value €324M. On paper we should beat them, but in reality we're gonna get cooked lol.
Only turkish fans would put any kind of value into that. I'd a take half of their team over ours.
Sabitzer in our midfield for example would turn us up from 5/10 to 6/10 by himself.
Arda, Kenan and Hakan combined make 1/3 of it
WE COOKED THEM
Austria is a team that is constantly pressing. Our midfield has to be prepared for this heavy job
With Orkun I’m not convinced.
I’d not even let him play in my düğün.
You’d be missing out as he looks exactly like the guy that would be playing at the düğün instead of a game.

we either get destroyed or we win by 1 goal
3-0 or 1-2, No other outcome today
Holy shit what a prediction
Good luck to us homies 🙏 see you on the other side

Reconsider your thoughts
I really hope you’re right bro

Any place to watch the Turkiye vs Austria on the big screen near Eminonu in Istanbul? I know of places in kadikoy but is there anything near eminonu?
To be honest, I don't think Orkun will be THAT bad. Because the only player who serves the same role as him (Hakan) is suspended.
Fuck i have zero hopes. Our defense is gonna let us down again.

Is it crazy that I think Samet should be playing over Abdulkerim?
Should? He's suspended.
Oh thats right I forgot completely
It’s good he’s not playing. It would’ve been his 2nd game after the blunder, which means he was going to blunder again. Now if we make it he’ll be back to 0
Are we sure it doesn't carry over 🤔 what if we go through and he scores an own goal against Netherlands next round?
Then we will have a new law of samet physics
Yes.
