And then 95% of the comments were Zoomer names that made no sense lmao "Oh wow we've never had a Braden" Child we've only had like 5 seasons where someone named Braden probably would have been old enough to play lmao
LMFAO why was I thinking of that the other day!!! I’ve been looking at the survivor wikia and noticed there weren’t any Kevin’s. But yet we’ve had like 100 Kelly’s
If they start the game paired up by their OG show then one tribe will definitely be looking more fabulous than other, that's for sure 😂 Just imagine the lewks served at Tribal Council!
Something with the equivalent outcome happened in MvGx. Will Wahl wanted to flip his vote tp Zeke to avoid rocks, but he was so sure Jess was flipping to Hannah that he didn't for fear of the situation OP described.
This was a non-elimination vote where the 2 losing tribes voted to swap someone to the other losing tribe. The non-elimination aspect diminishes the impact of the vote, hence probably why you don't remember
Baller flair btw
Yes especially when they have a beverage! A big tray with a burger and beer and you’re just supposed to carry that shit back and not trip?? Idk that may be asking too much of me! 😅
No one kicked off for violence. High stress situation, little food, little sleep, and someone pisses you off? It's really surprising to me there hasn't been even a push, let alone a punch thrown
I think the possible promise of a million dollars calms people right down. Unless you're Brandon Hantz. I absolutely feel like he would have thrown hands if they hadn't soft–ejected him first.
I think the fact that there is little to no alcohol helps as well. There have been so many people kicked off The Challenge seasons for violence and most of those fights are happening because everyone is wasted.
Somehow this didn't click. It's absolutely related to the lack of alcohol. All the punches I can think of were alcohol related except when Tina hit Beth. And someone in an old season got kicked off for lightly slapping Shane I think.
I’m pretty sure that was the fear with Brandon in Caramoan. I really respect Jeff’s handling of that situation, pulling him aside and playing it off to Brandon like Jeff is giving him the ‘stage’ to talk about his feelings… but really he’s separating Brandon from the tribe and specifically Phillip. And that shoulder massage bahahaha. Also — Willie Hantz was removed for physical violence in Big Brother shortly before this was filmed.
But yeah, I’m surprised by it too. Maybe all the crew being so present at camp keeps it down. Ben in Nicaragua did get removed from a challenge for it, though
Back when Corinne made a podcast with Max from WA she had said that Brandon did swing at Phillip and the forfeiting immunity at the challenge thing was a maneuver to not have to show it and explain the boot the best they could. I don't think any of the other favorites have ever confirmed or denied this, but it's also understandable that the cast wouldn't be dying to talk about that incident
My senior capstone I decided to research Survivor (hadn’t watched it in a decade at that point) and look at reality TV ratings based on how much conflict is present. I scored every episode from 3 seasons, -1 points for negative words spoken behind someone’s back or in a confessional, -2 for negative words spoken directly to someone’s face/arguments and -3 for outright physical altercations (outside of challenges where it’s encouraged). Also did positive numbers for the curious, +1 for positive words spoken to someone else or in confessional, +2 for positive words directly to someone’s face and +3 for physical displays of affection (hugging, etc.)
For all three seasons, I’m not sure if I clocked any -3 scores, and if I did it was certainly only a couple of times. People just don’t lay hands on each other seemingly.
For the curious, there was a small correlation with the episode *after* a particularly negative episode. So if there was a lot of conflict in an episode, typically more people tuned in the week after. It also showed interesting trends around the season, the most memorable for me being that episodes tended to hover around a net 0 scoring wise except the loved one episode every season when the score would suddenly become hugely positive.
Moral of the story: if you ask your professor if you can get a grade for watching three seasons of Survivor they’ll probably say yes.
Edit: to directly respond to your comment also, I’d argue that Brandon Hantz was basically kicked off for near violence. I guess technically he was neither kicked off or committed any violence but it was pretty clear he had no choice but to leave and it seemed like if he stayed on violence was going to happen
Interesting, which 3 seasons did you study? I wonder how seasons like Worlds Apart, Cagayan, and even 46 compare to the average. Those seasons in particular stand out to me as having high interpersonal strife.
Aim was to look at an old season, a middle season and a “new” season (this was 2017). I know for a fact I did China, old season was either Africa or the Amazon and I think the new one was Cagayan.
When I posted this, I figured there was a decent chance someone would tell me an international version had it happen. I've only seen US and 4 seasons so far of Australian, so I appreciate the info.
Apparently Trish said really nasty things to her regarding Lindsay’s daughter. Gives me a different take on Lindsay because she had a good reason for her rage and was genuinely afraid of hurting someone.
i’m pretty sure Brandon was kicked off, they did the weird voting thing at the challenge to save face.
(someone said this during an AMA if anyone else can remember cause I can’t)
He was. But it was because they were scared of what he'd do, not that he'd actually gotten physical with anyone. I do agree there was a solid chance it would come to that had he stayed though.
Someone replied saying Corinne said Brandon actually did get physical with Phillip, but no one else has confirmed that.
Brandon was so ill. Like Dawn said, his exit was best for him. Poor kid had heard so many different things he had no idea what to believe. Wish he had found some help. I read that production wouldn’t let him pee in the rice.
You know, I’ve never thought about it but yeah that is surprising! Even Love Island kicked off a contestant for being violent once and the stakes are way wayyy lower on that show 😂
i think about this all the time lol i can’t believe we haven’t had any physical fights. i know brandon and philip came close but i wonder what they would do in case of a real fight. like do both people get sent home? just the instigator? do they still go to tribal?
Two tribes determined to throw the same immunity challenge.
This is most likely to come up after a tribe swap, where the majority on both tribes are throwing the challenge to remove minority members from the other original tribe.
I am incredibly surprised this hasn't happened yet, and have no idea how it would be resolved.
I think the closest to this is China when james attempted to throw a food challenge to denise after the swap. His old tribe kidnapped him back, and they came up with a plan to throw it, but denise couldn't get the food down, and he had to beat her to not give away that he was throwing it.
I'd love to see this, because in both cases you know the minority members would not be in on the immunity throwing. Depending on the type of challenge it could be hilarious watching a couple people on each side try desperately to win while the rest of their team is impeding them.
I’ve always wondered this too. On AUS especially, in CvC2, BvB, and HvV, there’s been a lot of times where it really seemed like both swap tribes were trying to throw to try to save someone on the other side. I truly wonder if both adamantly threw it how they’d determine a winner/loser. Rock draw?
Nobody has been voted out after playing their idol on someone else. This almost happened to Russell in HvV if not for Tyson messing up the vote split, but you’d think in 30+ seasons with idols that somebody would have been tricked into idoling an ally when they were the real target.
I'd say Denise idoling out Sandra with her own idol is pretty close to that. It's just that she gave it to her prior to Tribal instead of directly at Tribal.
You have to give credit to Russell for flipping Tysons vote, he convinced him that he could flip his vote to Parv to avoid a tie between Tyson and either Parv or Russell. He created the situation that allowed him to play the idol on Parvati, get out Tyson and remain safe
It can’t happen anymore because of F4 fire-making but a 2-1-1 vote at the final 4 would be super cool! I’m a little surprised it never happened between seasons 1-34.
The closest we could get is a pre-merge tribe down to 4 players having a 2-1-1 vote.
I love the 2-1-1 votes. The one from >!Brains vs Brawn!< is one of my favorite votes in Survivor history. Multiple dynamics and a season-long story arc coming together to create the perfect storm of a 2-1-1 vote tally *chef's kiss*
In the 14 or so seasons with a car reward, nobody has won a car and the season
I really hope they return that reward just to see someone break the car curse
Don't recall
The two most notable for me is Yau Man who gave his car to Dreamz and Dreamz still voted him out that same tribal
Also the woman in Guatemala that had the chance to give her car up to provide the other 4 or 5 with a car
It wasn’t that tribal. They made a deal that if Dreamz won the final immunity, he would give it to Yau Man. Dreamz did win the final immunity and kept it, and Yau Man was voted out.
Well actually 🤓 Amber won a car and then All Stars.
But yeah, Rob won the challenge and she got the car for being picked, so you're right. I'm just being a pain in the ass.
I’m surprised they haven’t introduced players from the same family (husband/wifes/siblings/friends etc) and it’s keep secret- definitely from the other tribe members but maybe even from us.
Imagine if someone went in as a couple but were on different tribes, so they have a built in extra alliance if they both make merge. Now make it so it’s not just one couple, but 2 or 3. If we knew there was some couples, but not who they were… or we know some but not others. Or maybe we know exactly who they are but the tribe mates don’t. Anyway, I think it has huge potential.
That would be really cool. A Blood VS Water reveal at the merge
Would only be fair if it was everybody, but then the secret would be easier to spot out
They did something similar to this on Big Brother 6 and pretty much everyone knew who had a hidden relationship with who in a matter of days, if not less.
>Would only be fair if it was everybody, but then the secret would be easier to spot out
I think the opposite. The producers tell them that they are the ONLY ones like that on the island, and that they have to keep it secret, since they are the only 2 like that.
Of course, people blab secrets immediately and all the time, so that might not work, but it would be fun to try
Happened on Big Brother with Cirie and her son, Jared. Players questioned who after Julie (host) made it known that there were related players on the cast. Some players clocked it earlier though.
Also happened on uk traitors, and while it was a secret til the end, some people started saying a woman was like a guys mother- she was the mother, but not to who they were saying it about (and they were just joshing, they didn’t actually think they were mother and son)
BB5 with Nakomis and Michael being related (though neither of them knew it going into the house. They legit found out they were related while on the show)
They got way too close to this happening at least once. This is why I can't be mad at the new era for being softer. Because at the end of the day, this is a game show, and it does not need to be life-threatening. We are very lucky to have the original seasons, and Survivor is very lucky that no one ever died.
Well that's exactly why I think the lack of food and fire in the new seasons kinda sucks. Or at least that's \*one\* of the reasons why I think the lack of food and fire sucks. Like, it's softer in the challenges but more cruel in other ways.
This happened in French Survivor: [https://www.sj-r.com/story/entertainment/television/2013/03/25/french-survivor-season-canceled-after/43787791007/](https://www.sj-r.com/story/entertainment/television/2013/03/25/french-survivor-season-canceled-after/43787791007/)
Someone falling off one of those endurance challenges where they're all in a line, and no part of the fall (player or equipment) causes collateral damage on the way down and takes out their neighbor. Wife and I are rewatching hvhvh and there's an immunity where they're balanced on a ledge spinning a ball, and one of the players falls off and their ball flies off and hits a neighboring contestant on the leg (to no effect), but I think that's the closest I've ever seen.
OTOH, maybe it has happened and they just redo the challenge / reset the secondary person and keep going, I could see it being unfair / legal grey area that production would prefer to avoid dealing with.
I always wait for something like this to happen when they do challenges balancing on platforms in the water. Maybe they're not as close together as the camera angles make them look, but sometimes when the contestants fall they dive quite a distance and make a big splash. I always wait to see if the waves they make will cause someone else to lose their balance, but as far as I know it hasn't happened. I haven't seen all that many seasons though.
Adam trying to play the podium. "Can I play that?" "This thing you can't get off the voting podium..." "Yeah, I wanna *play* that."
Hey, when his torch is snuffed and Adam goes "Worth a shot," Jeff goes, "Always." Think he respected it if anything
For a moment that Jeff might not have seen coming at all, he teed it up SO well. Stopping the conversation and noting that it's never been done in 40 seasons, and how it would be unprecedented. And then "That is...NOT an idol. It's just part of the voting podium."
🤣☠️
Adam talked about it in confessional so Jeff definitely would’ve heard about the possibility of it happening from producers. Handled it like a champ though
Ha! I didn't remember that! That conversation must have been amazing. "So...Adam thinks that this may be an idol. We don't know if he's serious but buckle up and roll with it if it comes up at tribal."
i feel like that would be such a great twist to throw in now though, except it wouldn't be the nonsense three step puzzle thing they insist on. but man imagine the drama and reshuffle needed. or if it was taken as the person was leaving TC to use in the future... it would give that backwards advantage of "gotta go to TC to really start playing the game" idea
I'm surprised nobody after a bad vote at ever squared up and punched anyone else in the face. Some of them get so heated I'm surprised a fight doesn't break out after the names re read
I always assumed the snakes we see were posed by an animal handler for the show. I think they add something but I caught snakes into adulthood and not one of them posed for cool shots like these do.
Jeff mentioned this on the "On Fire" podcast. Apparently they have a few days throughout filming where the team goes out and looks for wildlife shots.
Also, apparently their production team is always on the lookout for B-roll shots like this even during interviews, and challenges etc.
Oh I’m sure they have a second unit looking for cool shots and I’m sure they get lots. But if you want a beautiful snake to curl past a fake skull just so, dollars to donuts there’s a snake wrangler just out of shot.
We've never had a situation where everyone was protected and nobody could be an option to go home. The closest we've had is when Cirie was the only option. Based on all the advantages that exist now, I'm surprised this hasn't happened. All you need is something like safety without power, three idols from each camp, then regular immunity at final 5.
I think they’ll never let this happen. Not that production didn’t love Advantagegeddon, but all the timers and expiration dates on idols and things like that seems to be to intended to prevent exactly something like this from happening.
There just aren't as many showmances, so I'm not entirely surprised. It's not a house with showers like big brother.
It's like nick from AO said... everyone's dirty, smelly, and nobodies brushing their teeth. Lol
I'm watching through Borneo for the first time and there's a whole scene of "Is Rich attracted to Greg? Is Greg flirting with Rich?" If that comes close
I don’t think a plurality winner would piss people off as much as you think. If it happened to Charlie this past season I don’t think anyone would be upset.
Totally depends on the winner. A primarily social winner winning with a plurality would cause a shitstorm, I just know it. You hypothesized Charlie, but imagine if Kenzie had won with a plurality. A percentage of people already discredit her win because of Maria's flip. Add this hypothetical to it and they'd send her straight to the bottom of their winner rankings out of spite.
Yup if it's a social winner or someone who came back from redemption island / the edge who is already controversial, people would definitely be more upset. "They got voted out AND they didn't even get the majority of votes!"
But if it was someone who most think was the best player that season, it wouldn't be a big deal. People just might knock them down in their arbitrary winner rankings for not getting over half the votes.
yeah but everyone who ranks winners already has a fundamentally flawed perception of the game so how much can we really care what their arbitrary metrics say about a plurality win
I don’t really agree with this. Is ranking winners pointless? Sure. Does every winner deserve to win? Absolutely. But comparing champions is something people do for all kinds of different games and sports. In basketball, for example, some people like to debate whether Jordan’s Bulls could take the Curry Warriors, or whether the ‘83 Sixers were better than the ‘86 Celtics. It’s an extremely low stakes conversation with zero actual meaning in the real world. But people having those conversations and debates doesn’t automatically mean they don’t understand the game they’re talking about. It’s just human nature to compare things.
The difference between sports and survivor is we can watch the full game or series, but in survivor we can only see what the producers decide to put out there. So to some extent it's edit vs edit when comparing winners
100% this happens every season. Little food + sudden fat bomb = instant clearing of the decks. Probably made it to the porta potty but you're not gonna see that on tv either.
I'd like to see someone get criticized for being a goat that was/will be drug to the end and for this person to a) acknowledge it, b) state that playing for 100k is more valid than ending up where y'all are.
Nobody has ever given up immunity and then played an idol on themselves.
It's a ridiculously short sighted move but it feels like something a postmodern player would think is a great idea because rEsUmE
I could see this as a way to lure votes in so you can vote off who you want…give someone the necklace before the vote then play the idol after. People would seize on the opportunity thinking you were vulnerable then you play an idol for yourself and your vote decides who goes home
speaking of plurality win's, I would love to see a 3-3-2 vote, I assume only the 3rd place person votes, but I'd be curious to see how it breaks down, is it a 3 person revote or a 3rd place vote only.
The last time a third place contestant even received a vote was HvHvH. Third place has only ever received 1 or 0 votes which is insane considering the size of the juries in EoE and WaW.
No, and why would they? Will they demand a revote? Insist Jeff reinstate them in the game? They sign contracts that make this sort of thing well understood. Not only that but even if they tried it they would get threatened etc and reshoot until they complied and we would never see it.
Never had a Kevin on the show
the only comment in this thread that I thought for sure couldn’t be true. That’s absolutely insane.
there's never been a Brittany either
yep Big Brother takes all the Brittany/Britney's for some reason
There was a thread on here a while back about that, there’s actually a lot of shockingly common names we’ve never had
And then 95% of the comments were Zoomer names that made no sense lmao "Oh wow we've never had a Braden" Child we've only had like 5 seasons where someone named Braden probably would have been old enough to play lmao
There was a Braden on Big Brother 11.
Yeah that dude's namesake was way ahead of his time. He probably never knew another Braden until he was in his 20s lol
Weren't there like 3 or 4 Erik's before the show got its first Eric with a c? Found that interesting.
There wasn't an Emily on the show either until Emily Flippen, which I always thought was so crazy
I can’t believe we got Tevin and Benry but still no Kevin or Henry
Meanwhile, 2 Kevin's have won Big Brother Canada alone.
LMFAO why was I thinking of that the other day!!! I’ve been looking at the survivor wikia and noticed there weren’t any Kevin’s. But yet we’ve had like 100 Kelly’s
You’re forgetting about Kevin
Monet X Change, it's time
Absolutely! What do you think a Drag Race x Survivor crossover show might be like??
If they start the game paired up by their OG show then one tribe will definitely be looking more fabulous than other, that's for sure 😂 Just imagine the lewks served at Tribal Council!
Didn't we not have a Tim until 46 either?
A tie where someone on each side switches votes and they have to go to rocks
wow has this not happened
Something with the equivalent outcome happened in MvGx. Will Wahl wanted to flip his vote tp Zeke to avoid rocks, but he was so sure Jess was flipping to Hannah that he didn't for fear of the situation OP described.
This happened in Australian survivor 2016!
Which vote was this? I don't remember Aus2016 going to rocks
The vote where it was a tie between Conner and Flick. Both Matt and Sam switched sides.
This was a non-elimination vote where the 2 losing tribes voted to swap someone to the other losing tribe. The non-elimination aspect diminishes the impact of the vote, hence probably why you don't remember Baller flair btw
I’m shocked no one has spilled or dropped the food the win in the auction as the prance back to the bleachers…I know I would. 😬
Are you saying something more than Penner's beer spill in Cook Islands, with Parvati announcing "Party foul!"
Don’t forget Ozzy’s $420 ice cream machine that spurted all over him 😂
Yeah that was more of a lost sip over the rim. I mean like dropping it all so you get none.
i don’t know how big tom didn’t drop his breakfast at the africa auction
Right, he was doing a damn jig with that plate in his hands!! 😂
Oh my god that would be so painful to watch lol. And I think about that every time they're walking back. Like GEEZ BE CAREFUL
Tom in Africa running around with the breakfast is the closest we've ever come I think 😅
We are rewatching africa right now and that is what made me think of this answer! 😅
HAM! JEW! HE'S A JEW! HE'S A JEW AND HE WON'T EAT THE HAM!
I hate it fer 'em
Ethan's reaction is just pure gold
Yes especially when they have a beverage! A big tray with a burger and beer and you’re just supposed to carry that shit back and not trip?? Idk that may be asking too much of me! 😅

I have to say I don’t condone violence, but that Tina/Beth punch is epic.
Seriously waited my whole life for someone to finally hit Beth…
Rupert was pretty close to hitting Johnny Fairplay
I thought he was going to eat him lmfao
I've read that he did in fact get kicked off but it was shown as a vote off
I’m pretty sure that was the fear with Brandon in Caramoan. I really respect Jeff’s handling of that situation, pulling him aside and playing it off to Brandon like Jeff is giving him the ‘stage’ to talk about his feelings… but really he’s separating Brandon from the tribe and specifically Phillip. Jeff played that situation flawlessly for no planning.
Jeff definitely had an idea that Brandon was already lost.
You mean Ben in Samoa yes?
Yes correct I think I mix those two up because they have the same starting tribe colors? Lol
Back when Corinne made a podcast with Max from WA she had said that Brandon did swing at Phillip and the forfeiting immunity at the challenge thing was a maneuver to not have to show it and explain the boot the best they could. That's great intel
Maybe it’s the lack of energy?
Another great suggestion besides the lack of alcohol. Too tired to get that pissed.

Survivor Romania had a female MMA fighter kicked off for head butting another contestant and breaking their nose
When I posted this, I figured there was a decent chance someone would tell me an international version had it happen. I've only seen US and 4 seasons so far of Australian, so I appreciate the info.
yeah its an obscure international version in the grand scheme of being a fan. Havent seen it myself but I’ve seen clips about this happening
The fact that there’s only been 1 official DQ and one “unofficial” DQ (little Hantz) is nuts over 46 seasons.
i think that lindsey (28) quit because she was on the verge of losing her shit on trish
She was afraid she was going to physically hurt Trish, yeah
Apparently Trish said really nasty things to her regarding Lindsay’s daughter. Gives me a different take on Lindsay because she had a good reason for her rage and was genuinely afraid of hurting someone.
Brandon was kicked off for a fear of his violence if that's close enough. His vote out was prty much staged.

Brandon did

I definitely had suspicions during those seasons that production was intervening to limit the overt challenge throwing.

Yeah i think it only happened in Australian Survivor 2016 im sure if it counts
Spoilers: >!2017 too!<
So we're.not counting Eric giving up immunity 🤣
I meant hidden immunity idols, not the immunity necklace.
It can’t happen anymore because of F4 fire-making but a 2-1-1 vote at the final 4 would be super cool! I’m a little surprised it never happened between seasons 1-34. The closest we could get is a pre-merge tribe down to 4 players having a 2-1-1 vote.
We did get a 2-1-1-1 tho
2-1-1 votes are so fun, they happened few times in aus survivor but I guess its due to those seasons having final 2s
I love the 2-1-1 votes. The one from >!Brains vs Brawn!< is one of my favorite votes in Survivor history. Multiple dynamics and a season-long story arc coming together to create the perfect storm of a 2-1-1 vote tally *chef's kiss*
Right. 2-1-1 in international survivor is not uncommon. There's like 5 instances.
In the 14 or so seasons with a car reward, nobody has won a car and the season I really hope they return that reward just to see someone break the car curse
Didn’t someone throw the car challenge specifically because of this curse?
Don't recall The two most notable for me is Yau Man who gave his car to Dreamz and Dreamz still voted him out that same tribal Also the woman in Guatemala that had the chance to give her car up to provide the other 4 or 5 with a car
I'm just being a pain in the ass.
considering the deal between yau man and dreamz, i think the car reward is dead and gone rather than anything budgetary
I feel like that situation would make producers want to bring it back even more. That was some compelling TV
A Blood VS Water reveal at the merge Would only be fair if it was everybody, but then the secret would be easier to spot out
They did something similar to this on Big Brother 6 and pretty much everyone knew who had a hidden relationship with who in a matter of days, if not less.
>Would only be fair if it was everybody, but then the secret would be easier to spot out I think the opposite.
They did this in an early season of big brother right? 6 I think?
Yes, BB6 was the secret pair season. Everyone had a pair, and if you made it to the end with your secret partner, the prize money doubled.
BB5 with Nakomis and Michael being related (though neither of them knew it going into the house. They legit found out they were related while on the show)
Jeff would ruin it after the first elimination challenge
I love this idea! Shame they don't have themes anymore
They've done this in the UK Traitors show Had a mother and son in together and no one else knows
Except when they think the mum and Paul are mother and son lol
seems inherently unfair unless its basically a whole season which is pretty much blood v water
Someone playing their idol on someone else and going home as a result
Someone dying on the island
They got way too close to this happening at least once. This is why I can't be mad at the new era for being softer. Because at the end of the day, this is a game show, and it does not need to be life-threatening. We are very lucky to have the original seasons, and Survivor is very lucky that no one ever died.
Just have to induce are cooling immersion. Heat stroke would be gone in a flash. After that he just needs fluids
Well that's exactly why I think the lack of food and fire in the new seasons kinda sucks. Or at least that's \*one\* of the reasons why I think the lack of food and fire sucks. Like, it's softer in the challenges but more cruel in other ways.
Caleb is probably the closest we've ever gotten
That’s my vote. I’m often amazed watching those hit-people-with-sandbags-in-the-water challenges that nobody has broken their neck.
This happened in French Survivor: [https://www.sj-r.com/story/entertainment/television/2013/03/25/french-survivor-season-canceled-after/43787791007/](https://www.sj-r.com/story/entertainment/television/2013/03/25/french-survivor-season-canceled-after/43787791007/)
And survivor Packistan, during a challenge
Survivor Bulgaria has one die during the challenge. They still had a tribal council.
Holy shit…
SurvivorWiki's listing is darkly hilarious in its bluntness. "Died, Day 14"
That's nuts!!
That would be a nightmare. S/O to the Survivor medical team that makes sure people don’t die out there.
Noncho in Bulgaria and Gerald in Koh Lanta
Death. Seriously. They are dehydrated, starving and overheated. It's luck that no one has died of heat stroke or heart attack.
Closest on the US version has been Caleb during Koah Rong (and that’s why there’s water wells at camp now)
Someone falling off one of those endurance challenges where they're all in a line, and no part of the fall (player or equipment) causes collateral damage on the way down and takes out their neighbor.
An idol at tribal council
I remember someone tried to pry off the emblem at Tribal where Jeff stands and sadly and desperately ask *'... is this an idol'* Jeff: *'... nope'* 😁
Adam trying to play the podium. "Can I play that?" "This thing you can't get off the voting podium..." "Yeah, I wanna *play* that." Hey, when his torch is snuffed and Adam goes "Worth a shot," Jeff goes, "Always." Think he respected it if anything
i actually tear up a bit when jeff says "always". He seems like a proud dad
Jeff saying “you want to play this thing that you can’t get off the podium?” was so funny.
For a moment that Jeff might not have seen coming at all, he teed it up SO well. Stopping the conversation and noting that it's never been done in 40 seasons, and how it would be unprecedented. And then "That is...NOT an idol. It's just part of the voting podium." 🤣☠️
That was Adam in Winners at War and it's where my flair is from lol.
Yes!!! But I had to applaud them for trying even if I had to watch it like this 🫣🫣🫣 haha
Hey. If eliza can play a stick, then why not? If you're dead in the water, then you might as well.🤣
i feel like that would be such a great twist to throw in now though, except it wouldn't be the nonsense three step puzzle thing they insist on. but man imagine the drama and reshuffle needed. or if it was taken as the person was leaving TC to use in the future... it would give that backwards advantage of "gotta go to TC to really start playing the game" idea
Someone finding an idol rehidden by someone else
i mean i guess the obvious answer is that no one’s died on the show
I'm shocked they haven't actually done the tribal council actual pedestal idol in the US games yet.
I'm surprised nobody after a bad vote at ever squared up and punched anyone else in the face. Some of them get so heated I'm surprised a fight doesn't break out after the names re read
Just thinking about lex after he caught one stray vote.🤣
T-Bird was keeping that shit SECRET lmao
Am I remembering right that Fairplay said at the PI reunion he was hoping Rupert would hit him when he was furious after the Trish vote?
Someone wins an individual reward challenge and picks no one to come w them. That’s what I would do.
Considering they constantly show snakes, how has no one ever been bit by one?
I am surprised nobody has won FIC, put themselves into fire & lost at fire.
Honestly hoping it happens once so the supposed strategic value of doing it dies forever.
That has GOT to happen sooner or later.
I really want a same sex showmance
There just aren't as many showmances, so I'm not entirely surprised. It's not a house with showers like big brother. It's like nick from AO said... everyone's dirty, smelly, and nobodies brushing their teeth. Lol
I'm watching through Borneo for the first time and there's a whole scene of "Is Rich attracted to Greg? Is Greg flirting with Rich?" If that comes close
Richard was actually attracted to Dr Sean. For All Stars he also requested to be on a tribe with Colby.
More often than not when two gay men end up on the same tribe they immediately target each other as the next vote, Im not entirely sure why this is
Does Natalie Bolton trying to flirt with Parvati in the Micronesia FTC count?
No, a 45 second scene does not count as a showmance
Hey, Frank and Brandon went on a date in season 3! 🥰
I am just now realizing there’s never been a same-sex showmance on the show.
"They got voted out AND they didn't even get the majority of votes!" But if it was someone who most think was the best player that season, it wouldn't be a big deal.
Menstrual mishap. Seriously.
They probably wouldn’t air that
They're given products for that in the medical box.
I’m surprised no one’s shit their pants after a reward meal
Generally, rewards lead to the OPPOSITE problem.
100% this happens every season. Little food + sudden fat bomb = instant clearing of the decks. Probably made it to the porta potty but you're not gonna see that on tv either.
The thing that honestly is most shocking to me is the amount of common names that haven’t been on the show
I'd like to see someone get criticized for being a goat that was/will be drug to the end and for this person to a) acknowledge it, b) state that playing for 100k is more valid than ending up where y'all are.
Someone getting pregnant either on the show or at pondarosa
I’m surprised the prize amount has never been increased. One million 24 years ago is a little different than one million today.
Despite both having played a combined 8 times Rupert and Ozzy have never been on a season together
I’ll do one better, Ozzy and Boston Rob have played NINE seasons combined (ten if you count island of the idols) and never played together.
speaking of plurality win's, I would love to see a 3-3-2 vote, I assume only the 3rd place person votes, but I'd be curious to see how it breaks down, is it a 3 person revote or a 3rd place vote only.
The last time a third place contestant even received a vote was HvHvH. Third place has only ever received 1 or 0 votes which is insane considering the size of the juries in EoE and WaW.
An authentic hidden immunity idol hidden at tribal
Has anyone ever refused to leave tribal after getting voted out?
No, and why would they? Will they demand a revote? Insist Jeff reinstate them in the game? They sign contracts that make this sort of thing well understood. Not only that but even if they tried it they would get threatened etc and reshoot until they complied and we would never see it.
A non-unanimous vote where someone gets voted out with just one vote. (Obviously, idols are to be involved)
