Don’t mind this at all tbh. Not better than either Darling or Cabango in any way and think I’d still even be having Naughton over him.
Ian Mitchelmore said he doesn’t know the fee but isn’t the £10m that was reported last summer. Personally hoping for at least £5m.
Surprised in all honesty Martin and Southampton still want him; decent defender on his day, but absolutely nothing special and certainly not premier league quality.
Threw down his tools when Southampton were first in for him, has given it to fans after games during some gutless performances this season, unfollowing all Swansea stuff before deleting his socials and his general attitude when things aren’t going well
This is one of the mosts stupidest comments I’ve ever read on Reddit. I’m all for free speech because you let people like this talk. Nathan Wood is a class defender.
Seen figures between £5m-£7m mentioned on Twitter, decent sum for someone who would go on a free in 12 months. Good player when his heads in it but you can guarantee that wouldn’t be the case with other teams in for him.
Does leave us light at CB - Darling and Cabango are our only senior out and out centre backs now aren’t they? Imagine Lissah might get a chance this season?
I think there's a quality CB in there somewhere and I wouldn't mind hanging onto him a bit longer. But if we can get a nice chunk for him, I'm happy to let him go.
Hes not going to sign another contract with us so ship him off and get whatever we can for him, he’s not as good as he thinks and will be obafemi part 2
More than happy to see him leave for a decent fee.

It’s a shame his day is rarer than Cardiff winning a derby 🤣
Hit the nail on the head there 🤣
Get it down asap so we know to move on, he’s nowhere near as good as his ego would have him believe and isn’t good enough for the premier league.
Why do you think he's got an ego?

Seems more immature than having an ego on him, either way let's take that money and reinvest.

Brother said class defender mind 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭
He’s off to the Prem lad.
He wasn't even starting for us at the end of last season. If 7m is the actual fee, then I'll drive him there myself.
So was clucas when bought him but he was worse than donkey diarrhoea🤣🤣

Cash in! Pronto
Side note: Is there still some legal / breach of contract thing pending regarding the way Martin left Swansea?
I believe so

Hopefully we can slap on some clauses for if they stay up. £7m rising to £10m with add ons would be a tidy amount.
Later skater... good fricken riddens, in my opinion. Addition by subtraction.
Got to be at least £8m right? Edit - apparently only got 12m left on his contract so could be a bit less.
I’ve seen £7m branded about
As long as they end up with a decent fee this is fine
Done deal. Official site.
