I bought the Asuna version directly from Aviot themselves. Very pricey since you have to use the worldshopping proxy if you live outside of Japan. Sound quality and noise cancelling is decent! Case lid is a little cheap feeling sadly but I still like them. Having Asuna or Alice tell me when noise canceling is on or when the battery is low is so awesome!
When you say decent, what does that mean on a 1-10 scale? Because I very much want to buy some SAO earbuds. I have been needing earbuds because I don’t have any except these $14 pharmacy earbuds that sound like absolute ass.
Like with 1 being “I can’t hear the music over the white noise these buds are producing” and 10 being “this is the most clear headphone ever made and is made specifically for lossless FLAC audio,” what would you rate the audio quality out of 10? I almost don’t care about noise canceling. I just care about audio quality. :o
1-10 scale would be 6.5 to 7. I have AirPods Pro 2 and Sonys XM4 earbuds and they do sound noticeably better. These earbuds are special edition of Aviots TE-D01V earbuds. If you download the Aviot Sound Me app you get some more personalization such as graphic EQ settings. After tweaking them you can make them sound better. These earbuds can only process SBC and AAC codecs I believe so they are not capable of Hi-res codecs like ALAC, FLAC, and WAV. You’re honestly paying for the novelty of having the SAO theme. If you are ok with that then go for it! I think they are super cool but from an audiophile perspective there are much better options for way less money.
My biggest gripe is quality. The case feels very cheap especially the lid. The lid opens very strangely and any slight force in opening them feels like you’ll snap the lid right off. For everyday use I would be cautious. I only use mine in my home.
