The glazed 100-mL [Standard Ruyao Gaiwan](https://white2tea.com/products/standard-ruyao-gaiwan) from W2T is my go-to. It has very thick walls and cleans super easily. $30 total with shipping.

The ones I use by far the most are basic, cheap, plain white 60-100ml gaiwan, Yunnan Sourcing has tons of gaiwan. Imen at TeaHabitat has some nice stuff https://teahabitat.com/collections/gaiwan 75ml plain white would be my pick.

Best gaiwan I’ve every used by far is a teas we like thin flared gaiwan. Shipping would probably put it out of your budget and it’s out of stock atm, but it’s qualities should maybe inform your purchase: - very very thin walls - big flared sides to keep your fingers cool - handmade so the lid doesn’t suction onto the cup - not too big or too small Kong mountain tea looks like it has some very similar porcelain gaiwans, they’re about 60 bucks.

That TWL one seems like an interesting offering, a shame they're out of stock. Seems the only one they have right now is 70 mL capacity which is rather small for my interests, and the Kong Mountain Tea ones are out of my budget.

Unfortunately I don't speak a lick of Mandarin, I can't seem to navigate the site

This [200ml Silver Leaf Black Gaiwan](https://yunnansourcing.com/products/silver-leaf-on-black-ceramic-gaiwan-200ml?_pos=2&_sid=f82c0ec8e&_ss=r) is my favorite one. Unfortunately it has a pricey shipping since its from Yunnan Sourcing.

CasioCollectorAndy

That looks gorgeous! Seems that shipping from the US site is only $5 which is not bad. I do think that 200 mL may be a bit big for my tastes but I won't know unless I try it. They do offer free shipping on orders over $50, perhaps that's incentive for me to add some nice teas or perhaps more teaware ;)

Yunnan Sourcing has a US site, so shipping should be a bit less. [Here's a link to their gaiwans](https://yunnansourcing.us/search?type=product&q=gaiwan*).

CasioCollectorAndy

Thank you so much! This looks like the most likely route for me :)

My pleasure! I own the Ru Yao gaiwan, which holds 150milliliters, and like it very much. But being a bit larger than most, it may be more cumbersome to use.
