The Godfather I is literally my favourite movie of all time, I have the symbol tattooed on me. But I do admit there are times (ESPECIALLY in the godfather II) where they are just talking. In the Godfather I love it because I love the story and love everything about it.
In this series, the first few episodes feels like it's entirely that, in the Godfather I don't mind, because they've already set up the story and cool shit has happened so I'm watching them talk about that cool shit, in the first few episodes of this series there's nothing.
Don't get me wrong, imo the Godfather and Godfather II are the best movies that have ever been made.
If there’s deeper stuff than exploring the humanity and grief that an event like that can touch upon? Yeah the show is not for you. Maybe watch Manifest, sounds more like what you’re looking for.

Yeah it's incredibly deep and emotional and you should NOT be spoiled and just go finish.

Do keep with it. It’s not an easy watch and creates more questions than it answers but it is very good, in my opinion
