Head says Ruud. Heart says Alcaraz.
I really want Alcaraz to win so idiots stop calling him washed and it is kinda of like a passing of the torch from Nadal to him
However he has to face Tsitsipas and then Sinner while Ruud gets a day of rest and then goes against someone he straight setted and bageled the last time they met at the same tournament at the same round
Ruud is basically going to be nice and fresh unless DVerev puts up a better fight than last time and Alcaraz is going to be winded - basically Sinner v Medvedev AO energy level difference
Three reasons:
1. Djokovic fans hate him because he challenged his supremacy
2. He has been playing below the absurdly high level he set last spring/summer
3. General imbecility
BG and Andy were talking about that on the Served podcast. Heās set the bar so hard for himself because heās so good that heās not āwinningā in the eyes of fans if heās not making crazy, gravity defying, energizer bunny chasing shots. BG said he think he feels the need to go out and not just win but entertain the audience which is ridiculous. But since heās lost some matches to players not named Djoko at grand slams, heās in a slump.š
His worst loss since he's become a top player is Wimbledon 2022, where he lost to... Sinner in the 4th round. Alcaraz has been insanely consistent at the slams. Yes, his performance against Zverev was a bit disappointing at the AO this year, but overall you have to nitpick a lot to come up with ways he's underachieved at any slam
I made a comment about his before but he is basically getting the Rune and Shelton treatment but on a bigger scale
Rune and Shelton are great players but because they arnt as successful as Sinner and Alcaraz and arnt dominating every match and making it to every final people call them washes and overhyped. Which isnāt true
Now replace Rune and Shelton with Alcaraz and Sinner and Alcaraz with just Sinner. Because Sinner is having more success than Alcaraz people are calling Alcaraz washed. Crazy I know, Sinner got the same treatment just 1-2 years ago, these types of tennis fans are just morons but they are very loud.
I don't think the context is the same between Zverev and Ruud than it is this year. Last year, Zverev made it to the semis thanks to an easy draw. This year Zverev is a well established top 5 player.
You are right it isnāt but still they are about the same level on clay but Zverev just had to play two 5 setters and now has to go against the speed demon of rallying while Ruud gets to sit back and watch
Alcaraz but you have to imagine that Sinner will be playing with extra motivation and confidence after moving into the Number 1 Player in the world position
He "secured" it when that happened but his rank doesn't officially become 1 until Monday.
I know that's pedantic but it becomes important when you start talking about weeks at 1 etc.
Alcaraz over Zverev in 4 sets
People are saying "Sinner" but he hasn't really been tested against a top clay courter yet and Alcaraz will represent a massive jump in level for him
I think he's honestly the pretty clear favorite to win as of right now
That was four years ago. Zverev is much more clutch now IMO and has fixed his serve. That being said, despite him beating Alcaraz two years ago here, Alcaraz generally does better against him with slower surfaces. His recent losses have been on faster courts (AO, ATP Finals) while his wins have been on slow courts (IW, Madrid). Idk what the USO result means though, possibly Zverev reeling from the long 5-setter against Jannik
It's losing to Meddy in the AO semi this year which makes sure he'll choke again. He manages it in lower stakes but come a grand slam semi or final, there'll be some tightness.
He was also terrible against Ruud last year. Sure he had the injury but he was much worse in that semi compared to the rest of the tournament.
Also there's the fact if he faces Alcaraz in the final, it Alcaraz is playing well enough to beat Sinner.
There are def reasons
Alcaraz has actually won a grand slam
Alcaraz has beaten a member of the big 3 in a grand slam
Alcaraz has looked in much better form than zverev
Alcaraz humiliated zverev in their most recent match
Alcaraz is a far superior mental player
Alcarazās injuries are resolved which were the main reason for a āpoorā season even though he wan a m1000
Track record of how they've performed in big moments in the majors is the reason Alcaraz would be favored, really. Zverev's had a good clay season and could definitely win.
This post says "what do you *think"* and not "what do you *want"* though
I don't have Zverev as the favorite to win but in no world is he below De Minaur in odds lol
De Minaur has BY FAR the worst chances of any remaining player
Zverev would shatter the record for court time by a major winner pre QF if he won the whole thing.
He's spent more than an hour on court than the current "record" holder.
Nadal at the French Open in 2006
I want Sinner to win so he ties Carlitos with 2 slams each, and that might start driving each other to be better, and we could start seeing a great rivalry starting to take over the tour
Yes, this would be good for the sport. Especially since wimbledon is next and nole may not play, sinner/carlos are probably the only members of the top 5 who can navigate grass and they would be set up for a bombastic final on centre court.
Only Alcaraz is a big problem here as heās never beaten him. He has a winning H2H against everyone else except Ruud (and heās beaten Ruud this season). Far from impossible but with Alcaraz today, still unlikely.Ā
And youāre kind to include ADM there lol because that would be Tsitsipasās dream final š
Heart says Alcaraz, Soul says Sinner, Brain says Zverev, Head says Novak undergoes a miracle spiritual treatment in the next 24 hrs and un-withdraws and wins
Realistically it will be either Sinner or Alcaraz. However Iād love to see someone who has never won a slam before to take it this time (not the abuser though).
I'll take anybody but Zverev.
Realistically Alcaraz has what it takes, but it might be tough to come up against in-form Z who is fresh from a 1000 and survived back to back marathons.
I'd love Ruud to win it tho
though zverev has gone 2 back to back 5 setters and was inches away from a defeat to griekspoor, and now will have to face speedy demon gonzalez and ruud who clearly excels at playing in RG. Also Zverev has not faced a great clay courter yet (except old nadal and granted Zverev played that match perfectly) in either RG or in his Rome title win.
Let's not forget he lost to Cerundolo, Garin and Tsitsipas this season and only Tsitsi is a great clay courter.
According to Betfair, Alcaraz. What do I think? Honestly no idea, any of the expected semi-finalists could do it. Sinner vs Alcaraz, Zverev vs Alcaraz, both close battles.
The latest news of Djokovic was interesting, in which I hope he recovers. In my predictions I was kind of skeptical of him even making it to 4th round and even though he did and completed the match, the withdraw occurred. Hoping on Ruud taking it all.
If Ruud makes the finals, I think we are going to see a much much better version of him than we have seen the past two years. Overall, he has played very good tennis on clay this year. Third times the charm, time to go get it Casper
Hoping for the 250/Slam Final merchant! But if I had to guess, iād say Alcaraz. If Alcaraz wins heāll be 3/4 of the way to a career slam at just 21, thatās mentalĀ
Sinner would be my favorite but the injury is concerning. Unfortunately, Zverev looks like the favorite so far. I would like Tsitsipas to win it but going through Alcaraz and Sinner is a tall order.
Ruud beats Alcaraz in final, it is the best for atp tennis.
They get the another new easy promoting GS champion with a great personality(the best among the next gen and baby gen) and a beautiful face and plus a new no.1
Ruud, Alcaraz and Sinner cannot be better than Iga, Saba and Coco but it is not that far away
everyone is saying alcaraz or sinner is beating whoever comes out of the other side of the draw, but ruud has actual roland garros finals experience, and he's playing one less match to boot. zverev has played so much tennis his past three matches. given that, i think ruud (one of the fittest guys on the tour) should comfortably beat a fatigued Zverev. And if sinner and alcaraz both get to the semis, and have a long match, i could 100% see ruud beating either of them in the final. that isnt to say that alcaraz and sinner cant beat ruud, but im definitely giving ruud a decent shot to win the title.
Ruud would find a way to choke against any of those guys in a final. Fatigue also isnāt an issue for Alcaraz or sinner as weāve seen with their past gs. Alcaraz played sinner and tiafoe back to back in brutal 5 setters and still destroyed Ruud in the final and sinner came back from 2 sets against meddy in ao final
I think Zverev has a chance he seems in the best Ā form imo won the Italian open , heās made the semi final last few times in a row even the year he recovered from his injury. His best time to win a slam if ever .Ā Ā
Ā I know Ruud has made the final the last two times though. If Ruud gets to the final I donāt think he will win against Sinner/Alcaraz. Also would be the more boring final. Ā
Ā Alcaraz could win either played well so far. Ā Seems to have recovered from the injury .Ā
I wouldnāt be so quick to disregard Zverev. He was down a double break in the 5th and won. He was down 2 sets to 1 in a 4th set tiebreak and pretty much dominated Rune from that point on. Heās done pretty well in some pressure moments so far this season.
Iām not saying Alcaraz canāt beat Zverev, but Alcaraz hasnāt looked his best this season. I suspect heāll beat Tsitsipas today, but thatās no guarantee.
I *think* itāll be Sinner or Alcaraz and Iga. Iād like for it to be Ruud and Paolini, but as long as a certain male player doesnāt win, Iām good with any other result.
I'll say Sinner. But the other guys have a very good chance (aside from Tsitsipas and maybe Zverev). And if Casper gets to the final maybe this time he won't be so awed at seeing Nadal or Djokovic at the other side.
Sad to say that Zverev has a high chance of winning, or at least making it to the final, if he keeps playing like that. Otherwise, I actually think that Sinner has the second best chance.
Head says Alcaraz. Heart says Ruud.

Head says Alcaraz, heart says Sinner š
Testicles say Ruud, fist says Zverev
You just had to go there, didnāt ya?

This is the only correct answer.
S. I. N. N. E. R.
Forgive me, Rafa, for I have Sinned!
Head says Ruud. Heart says Alcaraz. How can anyone call Carlos washed lol. He constantly makes the QF of every slam hes in and is younger than all the other top 10 seeds.
Three reasons: 1. Djokovic fans hate him because he challenged his supremacy 2. He has been playing below the absurdly high level he set last spring/summer 3. General imbecility

People overreact and let recency bias dictate their opinions
His worst loss since he's become a top player is Wimbledon 2022, where he lost to... Sinner in the 4th round. Alcaraz has been insanely consistent at the slams. That is so true
I also want alcaraz to win, it would be satisfying after the unfortunate way he went out last French Open
I don't think the context is the same between Zverev and Ruud than it is this year. Last year, Zverev made it to the semis thanks to an easy draw. This year Zverev is a well established top 5 player.
...who just played two grueling five-setters
Ruud lost as many sets and Zverev has great fitness so I'm not sure it's that bad for Zverev
You are right it isnāt but still they are about the same level on clay but Zverev just had to play two 5 setters and now has to go against the speed demon of rallying while Ruud gets to sit back and watch
Head and heart both say Alcaraz and Ruud
Head and heart say Ruud.
Im gonna say Casper Ruud. Why? No reason, i just think it would be funny and hes a nice guy, wouldnt want him to have 3 RG finals and no title
*Cries in Dominic Thiem*
Thiem made 2 finals actually
sadly both against the king
To be honest in 2019, if Nadal was not there, no one could have stopped Thiem from winning it.
Federer could if the final played in a windy day. I watched both SFs and I think Federer played a lot better than Thiem and Djokovic under the wind
you can say that for allmost all RG finals for the last two decades. crazy
Just imagine a Thiem Federer final
if not Rafa then it should be his biggest fan and to see that clone of that beautiful forehand in action.
Rafa's daughter and son both win RG
*Cries in Medvedev and Murray Australian Open*
It's time, fellow Ruud boys and girls. This is our moment.
I wish, but Iām thinking Zverev will take the title unfortunately
Depends on if he can handle his demons.Ā
Demon will be a cakewalk for Zverev
Yes pls I want my boy to succeed big
Obviously demon is gonna take the crown
Based take
Well he has his lucky charm at every match
Alcaraz but you have to imagine that Sinner will be playing with extra motivation and confidence after moving into the Number 1 Player in the world position
When does he become #1?
New ranking update on Monday
Officially monday
Already got it once Joker pulled out for injury
He "secured" it when that happened but his rank doesn't officially become 1 until Monday. I know that's pedantic but it becomes important when you start talking about weeks at 1 etc.
Praying for Ruud
If Ruud makes the final, maybe Alcaraz/Sinner will tire each other out in their semi lol
Zverev will tire Ruud too, the abuser love to hurt his peer
praying for a ruud/alcaraz final.
that would be one way traffic.
Maybe? Although Ruud gave Alcaraz trouble in their US Open final.
Praying for Ruud. NorwAMEN šš»
Heart says anybody but Zverev.
My heart says Alcaraz
My brain says Alcaraz
Gonna go crazy and say Ruud gets it.
De Minaur!
Just imagine
Heart says Ruud, head says Sinner. Just not Zverev, please!
Alcaraz over Zverev in 4 sets People are saying "Sinner" but he hasn't really been tested against a top clay courter yet and Alcaraz will represent a massive jump in level for him I think he's honestly the pretty clear favorite to win as of right now
Why are people so sure Alcaraz is beating Zverev, especially considering how awful Alcaraz has been this season?
Us Open 2020. He could be 2 sets and a break up in the final and would still find a way to lose.
That was four years ago. Zverev is much more clutch now IMO and has fixed his serve. That being said, despite him beating Alcaraz two years ago here, Alcaraz generally does better against him with slower surfaces. AO 2024
Carlos hasnāt been awful š
Zverev destroyed him at RG 2 years ago and he also won comfortably at AO. Choking habits aside, there is no reason to have Alcaraz as the favourite.
There are def reasons Alcaraz has actually won a grand slam Alcaraz has beaten a member of the big 3 in a grand slam Alcaraz has looked in much better form than zverev Alcaraz humiliated zverev in their most recent match Alcaraz is a far superior mental player Alcarazās injuries are resolved which were the main reason for a āpoorā season even though he wan a m1000

2 years ago Alcatraz is not the same as today
Yeah heās better now
Saying Zverev could beat Alcaraz choking aside is like saying Tsitsipas could beat Alacaraz backside aside.
Okay man I get we're talking tennis here but what's carlos' ass gotta do with it
Because choking is a mental limit not a technical one. Zverev won't automarically choke, against Nadal for example he was extremely clinical.
You and I have different definitions of āawfulā
I swear Alcaraz has won a masters this season lol
His only test was tsitsipas and he failed
lol the only time zverev lost to him on clay was because of sleep deprivation due to poor scheduling
Hasnāt Alcaraz beaten him at Madrid more than once? Ik itās not the same clay
Anyone but Zverev
This post says "what do you *think"* and not "what do you *want"* though I don't have Zverev as the favorite to win but in no world is he below De Minaur in odds lol De Minaur has BY FAR the worst chances of any remaining player

Sinner!
Had to scroll way too much to find this.
I think Alcaraz. But I'll be happy with Sinner, Ruud, or Alcaraz.
But not demon š¢
I like demon, but I'm not holding my breath. Really I just don't want zverev to win.
Either Alcaraz or Sinner. That being said, the chaotic, funniest outcome, would be for De Minaur to win and have a grand slam before Zverev.
I want Sinner to win so he ties Carlitos with 2 slams each, and that might start driving each other to be better, and we could start seeing a great rivalry starting to take over the tour

Anyone but Zverev is fine.
Iām hoping for a Sinner vs. Ruud final with Ruud taking it this time. Perhaps 3rd time could be the charm.
The way I saw the Demon dismantle Medvedevā¦Iām going with him!
I like both Jannik and Carlos but please let Casper take the crown!
Ruud or Stefanos
I want Ruud and Tsitsipas in the finals. I want to see who can choke the most in 5 sets.
Probably Alcaraz but I really want Stef to win
Stef has to win alcarz sinner and zverev/ruud/ADM impossible
Stef is good against zverev it's alcaraz that's the problem unfortunately
Only Alcaraz is a big problem here as heās never beaten him. He has a winning H2H against everyone else except Ruud (and heās beaten Ruud this season). Far from impossible but with Alcaraz today, still unlikely.Ā And youāre kind to include ADM there lol because that would be Tsitsipasās dream final š
Heart says Alcaraz, Soul says Sinner, Brain says Zverev, Head says Novak undergoes a miracle spiritual treatment in the next 24 hrs and un-withdraws and wins
I really think De Minaur is going to beat Zverev and Ruud, then probably lose to Alcaraz in straight sets in the final
Ruud has finally broken his 250 curse, it's time
JaaaaaaaRuud!
I'm hoping Alcarez or Tsitsipas, honestly.
Very few people say Stef. I think he certainly has the weapons to beat every player left, he *only* has to play consistently
Sinner is winning it imo
Sinner for the calendar slam baby
Realistically it will be either Sinner or Alcaraz. However Iād love to see someone who has never won a slam before to take it this time (not the abuser though).
If Zverev has enough energy i think he is the favorite. Would love for Ruud or Alcaraz to take it though.
Alcaraz Iām hoping anyone but Zverv at this point
Zverev
Iām hopping for Casper or Jannik
I'll take anybody but Zverev. Realistically Alcaraz has what it takes, but it might be tough to come up against in-form Z who is fresh from a 1000 and survived back to back marathons. I'd love Ruud to win it tho

Alcaraz. The title should return to Spain IMHO
the way you put it, okay then š if not, then, ruud
I think Alcaraz
According to Betfair, Alcaraz. What do I think? Honestly no idea, any of the expected semi-finalists could do it. Sinner vs Alcaraz, Zverev vs Alcaraz, both close battles.
Feels like Alcarazās time
Anyone could win it really. The way Sinner was holding his back today he might be injured .
The latest news of Djokovic was interesting, in which I hope he recovers. In my predictions I was kind of skeptical of him even making it to 4th round and even though he did and completed the match, the withdraw occurred. Hoping on Ruud taking it all.

It's Casper's time !! He's been so good at this tournament and deserves to put the nail in the coffin for his haters.
Hoping for the 250/Slam Final merchant! But if I had to guess, iād say Alcaraz. If Alcaraz wins heāll be 3/4 of the way to a career slam at just 21, thatās mentalĀ
Don't even want to watch ruud, you already know he'll choke. Zverev vs sinner or alcaraz would be more entertaining.
Zverev vs Sinner in the finals.
Tsitsipas taking it all
I truly hope Ruud takes it
Tsitsipas
Sinner would be my favorite but the injury is concerning. Unfortunately, Zverev looks like the favorite so far. I would like Tsitsipas to win it but going through Alcaraz and Sinner is a tall order.
I'd love to see Casper the friendly ghost Ruud get this one.
Stefanos to have a new 1HBH king.
Can we all get mentally prepared for Zverev winning his first slam? šµāš«
Zverev could go the distance.
Zverev
Zverev of course
I'm hoping Sinner. I would find it amusing for Sinner to have AO and Roland Garros when Alcaraz has USO and Wimbledon.
Zverev
Ruud beats Alcaraz in final, it is the best for atp tennis. They get the another new easy promoting GS champion with a great personality(the best among the next gen and baby gen) and a beautiful face and plus a new no.1 Ruud, Alcaraz and Sinner cannot be better than Iga, Saba and Coco but it is not that far away

I'd ve put all my money on Djokovic but now with he being out of the game... I'd wish it'd be Ruud, most likely it'd Alcaraz or Zverev though.
Ruud or Tsitsipas
I think Zverev has a chance he seems in the best Ā form imo won the Italian open , heās made the semi final last few times in a row even the year he recovered from his injury. His best time to win a slam if ever .Ā Ā Ā I know Ruud has made the final the last two times though. If Ruud gets to the final I donāt think he will win against Sinner/Alcaraz. Also would be the more boring final. Ā Ā Alcaraz could win either played well so far. Ā Seems to have recovered from the injury .Ā
Im manifesting a Tsitsi win.
So the true post-big 3 era has begun. Also anyone but Zverev.
I think it will be great for the memes if Zverev wins. I just can smell the havoc on this sub already
Gotta be Alcaraz.
Head says Sinner, my heart says Ruud, my balls says Alcaraz and my sour stomach says Zverev...
Sinner š§”

I hope Sinner but I think Alcaraz
Sinner
Should be Thiem š«
RUUD!!
My least favorite is Ruud but he's still a favorite. Zverev on the other hand...
Tough questionā¦ I would say Alcaraz, but tennis is unpredictable so we will see!
Head says Carlos, heart says Jannik.
heart says Sinner, mind says Sinner Winner Chicken Dinner
Jannik #1 Sinner
Alcaraz I think.
I'll say Sinner. But the other guys have a very good chance (aside from Tsitsipas and maybe Zverev). And if Casper gets to the final maybe this time he won't be so awed at seeing Nadal or Djokovic at the other side.
Alcaraz or Sinner
Ruud or Calitos please
i am predicting Ruud! i think i am the only one hahaha
One of the players that made it to the semi-finals, for sure.
Alcaraz
Sinner or Alcaraz. Leaning Sinner in what I have seen.
Ruud. Head & heart.
Sad to say that Zverev has a high chance of winning, or at least making it to the final, if he keeps playing like that. His serve alone gains him a huge advantage, especially against shorter players (De Minaur, Ruud, and Alcaraz are all 6ā0). His return is good, and none other than Sinner really has a deadly serve. Backhand has always been among the best on tour. Forehand can be hit or miss, but quite lethal when itās a hit. Court coverage is good. He can play aggressively or grind out rallies. Mental toughness is a question mark. Otherwise, I actually think that Sinner has the second best chance.
I think Zverev will win (bc fml) but I want Alcaraz to win.
All those losers who said Djokovic was faking it...
Sinner.
Wow, sinner is so underrated
Carlos Alcaraz
Come on Casper!!!
De Minaur will win, obviously.
RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUD JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAAJAJJAJAJAJA
It will be Carlos or Jannik.
Sinner
Personally I think Carlos is the favorite but Jannik wouldnāt surprise me. Donāt think Casper can win it but who knows. Zverev should withdraw.
Carlitos please. Do it for Rafa.
Most likely Sinnerā¦ RG title and Kalinskaya to go!
I've got a feeling it will be Sinner but I'm pulling for Alcaraz
As incredible as it was to live through the Big3/4 era, i am READY for new Major winner and new winners at a Major
Carlos is the most reasonable choice, Jannik would be š„š„š„, but if Ruud or De Minaur win would be just perfect.
