Not only that, look at how he get up after that slide and roll. He literally regain balance with right leg and he's already sprinting for the pass.
Can't believe it
Yeah bro but skiis end with that sprint.
Coodination while running and hittng a perfect timed wide passing shot is just nuts
Like u can't be Lindsey Vonn and Marcelo Rios in the same rally cmon
At one moment in his career he either could choose skiing as his #1 sport and become a pro since he was a top skier in his age bracket already or choose tennis as his #1 sport. He picked the latter at like age 13 (!). It is fun to see older youtube vids where he is 16-17 or so and plays like a mediocre college kid.
See? It is possible to train to fall/tumble/roll. Sinner proves it. The other pros who whine about the grass need to work on their tumbling drills more.
Hopefully, his Halle draw is very hard like Alcaraz's 2023 Queens draw. He may get the confidence needed before Wimbledon, especially if he can manage to beat Tsitsipas and Zverev here.
Matteo often gets knocked out instantly after a good week prior. He did the same after his Marrakech win. It's a pattern. ADM as well.
Bublik is one of those players as well
Well, he is from a Kühdorf, which - as well as being a lil place in Germany - is used to describe a sleepy village full of cows.
I just imagine kid Sinner rolling around with lil baby cows everywhere and these matches just remind him of being a kid on Sunday afternoon.
He does incredible. We were doing this thing in judo, to learn how to fall, but doing in Tennis, it s not really normal.
Usually you dive, fall on the ground, either you win or lose the point. You dont dive, roll, stand up again and go to hit a passing backhand on the other side of the court.
Wtf.
It's different kinds of exciting I guess, a taste preference per person.
Sinner is like high quality vanilla ice cream covered in honeycomb and salted caramel, while Alcaraz is more dark chocolate with chilli peppers and maybe a few cherries on top.
I greatly enjoy both, but it depends what mood I'm in on a given day
I mean that's a pretty insane take, but absolutely he's one of the most exciting players on tour.
"Not quite as exciting as one of the most exciting players we've ever seen" isn't really a criticism :).
For fans like me, very casual, Sinner is similar to a lot of baseline bashers. Whereas someone like Alcaraz, with a full court game and willing to go for every shots. It's a lot more exciting.
Yes. I thought about that too. I don't play tennis so I don't know but I feel like the drop and roll is a injury prevention thing too. Instead of sudden change of direction just go with it and then bounce back. And I wonder if the drop and roll distracts the opponent a little too. The other guy's like "wtf? We're done here right? NO? Ah Sh*t."
Yeah. For Marozsan to react correctly he has to see how Sinner positions himself to the ball but in this case of the dive it’s hard to observe. So yeah he is definitely taken aback when the ball is back in an unexpected place. You can see that he struggles to adjust to the placement. But what is insane is how Sinner recovers quickly with that roll and gets to the other side with a low center of gravity and makes that shot! It’s definitely the shot of the year for Sinner! May he bring more to tennis.
I have a theory: the lesson Sinner decided to learn from his loss at RG is to _have more fun_ while playing. To loosen up a bit and reduce the tension, like Alcaraz is able to do when he's on a roll. Hence these rolls and his reaction to them (and the way they turn matches around!)
Ironically, the most likely place he would have got injured is at the last moment, where he is off the back of the court on the wettest part of the court, un-athletically starting to stand straight up and slow down at the same time.
Hello Ashen one. I am a Bot. I tend to the flame, and tend to thee. Do you wish to hear a tale?

Have a pleasant journey, Champion of Ash, and praise the sun \\[T]/
i thought the title was just going to be the roll and was like "oh haha that was neat" and then he went and got up and ran to the ball and made the pass and won the point like what???
him rolling over for that shot helped him more to get up for the next than if he gone full stretch.
for some reason stretching looks easier to recover from than rolling but i'm guessing rolling tactically in a non injury way is a better option to recover for the next shot
He didn’t realistically think Sinner could ever make it back, why would he, so he played a safer shot, which was still not close to Jannik. He did what anyone else would have done
Didn’t someone in here yesterday say that Sinner is built differently, that he doesn’t ask for claps or celebrations from the crowd when he produces unbelievable shots
Where was the comment
Hmm
The man can tuck and roll with more grace than I have summoned over the course of my entire life
It almost looks as though he’s practiced just rolling sideways for shots like this
Not only that, look at how he get up after that slide and roll. He literally regain balance with right leg and he's already sprinting for the pass. Can't believe it
the years on the skis, those are paying off
Yeah bro but skiis end with that sprint. Coodination while running and hittng a perfect timed wide passing shot is just nuts Like u can't be Lindsey Vonn and Marcelo Rios in the same rally cmon
Wait was Jannik a skiier?? Smh why don't the commentators tell us these facts
At one moment in his career he either could choose skiing as his #1 sport and become a pro since he was a top skier in his age bracket already or choose tennis as his #1 sport. He picked the latter at like age 13 (!). It is fun to see older youtube vids where he is 16-17 or so and plays like a mediocre college kid.
everyone from South Tyrol is a skier and Sinner was among the best in his age group in Italy. Google South Tyrol! It's such a beautiful place
Upvote because you made sarcasm without putting /s at the and (I hate that)
I also think it may be partially related lol
See? It is possible to train to fall/tumble/roll. Sinner proves it. The other pros who whine about the grass need to work on their tumbling drills more.
The inevitable Wimbledon champion.
Only 2 weeks ago you were an Alcaraz fan, who won Wimbledon last year, what about that? Just going with the wind?
The last time i saw a player rolling this smoothly on grass was Neymar at 2018 World Cup.
Just in case someone is not familiar with the legendary roll: https://youtu.be/qbJ0ZFSv7ic
Lol. Now that would be why I don’t watch soccer
If you hate this then definitely don't watch the NBA.
Bruh!💀💀
Gold response 🤣🤣
Neymar catching strays.
That’s beautiful
Michael Phelps was also really good at grass rolling
All the diving is ridiculous.
It's Neymar being Neymar lol
Bro's gonna have an Alcaraz 2023 Grass arc this season.
I’m here for him winning Wimbledon at this point
Hopefully, his Halle draw is very hard like Alcaraz's 2023 Queens draw. He may get the confidence needed before Wimbledon, especially if he can manage to beat Tsitsipas and Zverev here.
He’s probably playing Hurkacz or Berrettini in finals.
Matteo got knocked out in the first round. Didn't see that coming.
Matteo often gets knocked out instantly after a good week prior. He did the same after his Marrakech win. It's a pattern. ADM as well. Bublik is one of those players as well
Looks like I called it right
He can't keep rolling away with that.
Brilliant.
Skylar. I am the one who rolls.
Jannik has smiled more in the last two matches on grass than he did even winning his first Slam 😭😭😭 bro just loves rolling about in the grass
bro’s grasshopper ability is starting to show up
Well, he is from a Kühdorf, which - as well as being a lil place in Germany - is used to describe a sleepy village full of cows. I just imagine kid Sinner rolling around with lil baby cows everywhere and these matches just remind him of being a kid on Sunday afternoon.
Maybe he feels more "Free" now that he has won it.
You *like* to be on *grass like a cow*? I don't judge.
When Jannik pulls out the Roman Emperor celebration you know it's a *good* point
lol Roman Emperor indeed

Crazy that some people consider him boring when he consistently pulls off incredible shots like this. Not everyone can be Alcaraz.
I find him more exciting than Alcaraz, personally.

This is why we need r/tenniscirclejerk
That was a little raunchy for a tennis sub! 😝

Hah, downvoted for saying your point of view. Classic r/tennis.
Meh, screw em. have an upvote
I think Sinner got hyped with the latest Elden Ring's dlc, considering all these sublime rolls.
He should just roll after every shot at this point
Sinner can dodge waterfowl dance
I feel like sinner is part retriever. These gets are ridiculous
We are all Marozsan. All we can do is smile and wonder how the hell he did that.
What an entertaining world number 1,great for the sport.
In the darkest of timelines we would've been treated to 10 years of the Little 3 dominating the circuit. Instead we got Sincaraz
A Zverev major 🤢
Pew, pew, roll to avoid gunfire, pew, pew…
Mad mad mad lad, his movement on grass is NUTS! Like even that first slide to get to that dropshot is pure madness on grass
They see me rollin', they hatin'
🤣🤣🤣
moment of brilliance 🦊
Incredible!
Tennis 101, really. Who doesn't move like this, amirite 4.0 guy?
He can’t keep getting away with this 😮💨🌱
His movements are spectacular to cover so much ground. A lot of pro players would slip to get to those balls on grass!
The more I see the video more I see the necessity for the role to recover quick and tiptoe to the passing shot. Brilliant!
Yes. I thought about that too. I don't play tennis so I don't know but I feel like the drop and roll is a injury prevention thing too. I would love that genuinely, he's letting loose a little and it's so endearing
He seems super smiley these days!
He's also in a relationship so might be a little more giddy lately too.
Aw that's cute to think it might be that! :)
I have seen enough, Sinner will win Wimbledon
Carrot had no business winning that point, but holy shit, there you go
This is insane
Parkour
Bro he got out of that roll so smoothly wtf 💀 lost like 0.2 seconds total
*"Oh baby, baby.. Oops.. I did it again!"*
Is this Virtua Tennis 3?
Bro can't even get mad at that shot
If you ever played on grass you know that slide is the craziest thing in the clip.
WTF. This is Carlos level shit. Honestly maybe faster given his long ass legs
Ironically, the most likely place he would have got injured is at the last moment, where he is off the back of the court on the wettest part of the court, un-athletically starting to stand straight up and slow down at the same time.
LOL WTF
Are you not entertained!!! Sinner going to be taking over Novaks mantle of "Tennis players most likely to be Dark Souls bosses"

Where's the DLC?
That's why he's World Number 1 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹💪💪💪
This just shows he loves grass ...
Id be scared of Sinner at wimbledon! The all england club is gon' be fire this year
ADF: I love to dive Sinner: Hold my beer
Hold my carrot
What a fast carrot
Jannik "Rollie Pollie" Sinner
Yes he’s definitely improved his movement on grass. Hopefully he’ll save enough for Wimbledon!!! 😊
He's bulked up as well, filling out, at least from the waist up
What the fuck...
That was a classic dark souls light roll!
When life imitates cartoons
Or glitchy Tennis Clash.
This dude wins wimbledon
My name is Bond, James Bond.
This is Carlos level athleticism... scary for someone who hits so cleanly....
wow
How the fuck
This one is even more ridiculous
Mats : being number 1 is just a matter of computers Jannik: boots his computer and starts playing TopSpin2K25
Maro couldn't even be mad. This was beautiful.
Definitely like a fox.
Damn that was a quick roll, felt like Link trying to speed through Hyrule Field - could become a signature shot, a la Boris Becker’s dives?
dude's athleticism is a marvel to behold
i thought the title was just going to be the roll and was like "oh haha that was neat" and then he went and got up and ran to the ball and made the pass and won the point like what???
Those gets are incredible, by both players But wtf was that pickleball shot by Marozsan?
Unbelievable
Amazing. Is Jannik gonna make it one of his trademarks🤗
I love this lanky boi
Cheeky.
I am quite excited for Wimbledon.
Sinner by name sinner by nature. That was unreal.
Sinner is the new Alcaraz with this one
I tell you 2 weeks before, next Winers of Wimbledon will be Sinner in the male tournament and Sabalenka for the female. 🍿🍿🍿💪💪
What is Marozsan doing?
Ridiculous
Fitness strength and conditioning
him rolling over for that shot helped him more to get up for the next than if he gone full stretch. for some reason stretching looks easier to recover from than rolling but i'm guessing rolling tactically in a non injury way is a better option to recover for the next shot
Dude has video game rolling physics
Insane point from Sinner, that said, that last forehand from Maroszan was so limp
He didn’t realistically think Sinner could ever make it back, why would he, so he played a safer shot, which was still not close to Jannik. He did what anyone else would have done
Truly
Didn’t someone in here yesterday say that Sinner is built differently, that he doesn’t ask for claps or celebrations from the crowd when he produces unbelievable shots Where was the comment Hmm
I don’t see him bringing his hands to his ears here or asking for claps? He’s just celebrating with his hand up?
