I'm in Ohio and we just passed a bill reinstating rights to abortion. The vote no signs for the bill all had taglines like "protect women's rights". They really didn't see the irony in their stupid taglines at all.
We could have that. We could have herd immunity. We could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives, but our president knowingly lied about the severity of Covid.
Instead, we have the virus continuing to burn through our population, and that means we keep seeing new strains, as it keeps mutating. It’s a moving target for the vaccine, and they’re treating it like the flu, now. With each new strain, they’re just trying to play catch-up. It did not have to be this way.
Sorry for this rant, but I’m pretty pissed off about this whole subject.
Its because its easy target. They have no voice. They cant and never will be able to vote yea or nea on abortion so theyre easy pickins. Once theyre born eventually they do have a voice.
They should give each newborn a semi automatic rifle so they can be ready for school. (Yes this is sarcasm —in the face of absurdity I feel more absurd)

They say it’s a baby but also don’t support like money for single moms or poor families.
My parents are anti abortion but they are also overwhelmingly in support of any government programs that would help support struggling families. Free lunch, all of those social programs that would actually help. And to me I can understand that view, but it’s so rare in “pro life” people that it’s maddening
We need more rational people like your parents in our national conversation about abortion. I like to hope there are a bunch of them out there but we just don’t hear from them because the batshit pro-lifers are louder and get all the attention. I’m probably wrong but it’s just something I need to believe.
It’s absurd but ask the dead and mangled kids they’re tossing into meat factories and other dangerous jobs. The red states are fighting to allow younger and younger kids to work longer hours and more dangerous previously restricted to above 18 y/o jobs.

From working at a (non-emergent) medical office, to those same exact people it also often means they think the rules of a private establishment should not apply to them and should be able to act as rudely and rowdy as they can with no consequences, to say the least.
I was shadowing at a clinic and saw this fat fuck come in 2 hours late for an appointment then punch a wall when we said no he couldn’t still see our very busy provider. Want to guess what kind of hat he had on?

The police ended up coming to that guys house to tell him how 2A rights actually work, that he’s been discharged from the practice and banned from the property. Definitely sharing your story with my coworkers 😂
