How do you even do that many consecutive frame perfect jumps in a row, hitting space at the perfect time that many times seems close to impossible considering the frame rate being 30-60-120, or whatever you prefer.

Where the cfg files are stored, you can create soldier.cfg and add your binds there. That file is ran whenever you change to that class, it overwrites any other binds.
So what you can do is make all 9 cfg files with their own custom binds so that nothing is crossed between classes.

You nullify the penalty by switching to the weapon you don't want to hold first, then quickly switch to the one you want to hold. Using scroll wheel to go two steps very fast works, pressing 2 then 1 is a bit less convenient. Q doesn't work at all for that.
because bhops to maintain airborn for market gardener are most of the time nowhere near frame perfect (there are tick perfect bhops in the game, these are not)
I’ve seen a couple different explanations; essentially you have a slightly larger window (few extra ticks? Idk the exact numbers) since keeping the rocket jump =/= perfect bhop.
In a game play sense, that means multiple jump inputs from scroll wheel right before/as you land can help you consistently bhop garden.
Timing depends on your ping, interp, and server though. In my experience, casual servers are much harder to consistently bhop garden on than community ones.

Well I wasnt the last person when I bhopped, hale was chasing some sniper and killed him after I landed them. Also the crit garden when not rocket jumping just does 195 damage. An actual garden does the same as a backstab against Hale, so around 1000 damage.

I love how the soldier respected it by running away because he could have rocketed jumped away or just shovel hit you but instead he just ran away with his boots
If you have the rocket jumper equipped, the sound for rocket jumping with it (a long woosh wind sound that loops after a few seconds) keeps playing as long as the market gardener crit is still valid.
Otherwise, just believe it still counts lol
This, but if you rocket jump w/o jumping (crouch+shoot, like short hopping) into a bhop there’s no whooshing sound. At that point, it’s all faith in the shovel

i have mwheelup bound to primary, mwheeldown bound to secondary, and q bound to melee, it helps a lot with this
