Someone needs to make an Alien Biblical Flood mod that increases how high the water rises. Up to at least that level. haha.

KiNg2014

Subnautica? 😂 Incoming Subnautica mods, calling it now.

ElrohirFindican

I feel like you're safe from the water levels, but you might encounter other issues. 😅

KiNg2014

I mean... Better safe than sorry? 🤣 As long as your middle coordinate is above 26 you'll be fine, I'm pretty sure the top water layer is 25/26.

Xaxafrad

I keep hearing this advice, and it's perfect in the Starting Valley, but I noticed the water level in other regions can be higher than 25. edit: Or lower. I finally flew around and took notes: the big desert water line is at 5, west of the desert, under the giant broken arches, it's 6, in the northern waterfalls area, it's variable, but the lowest is 60, in the canyons east of the waterfalls, the level is only 2, the area around the wrecked star gate has a waterline at 70, and around the giant waterfall mountain south of the starting valley, it's at 75.

KiNg2014

Can it really? I guess the northern area is at a higher altitude just in general so it makes sense. I guess just 25/26 for this area as it's the most common build spot!

Metaskie

Heh, my first base was right at the start point. As soon as the water started collecting, and I saw the email about building at an elevated spot, I moved everything beside that crashed ship as well. But of a pain getting back and forth, and space is limited, so I keep building up.

DauphDaddy

Pretty much where we did it too haha right next to the cave?

foxfire981

Once you get to a certain point it will be awesome

seemtobedead

My main headquarters compound (first fabrication, dorms, domes, etc…) are up in that area too. A little lower but still… better safe than f’ed!

Cupcake_Trainer

I made my base originally right next to the crash pod. I later moved it up to about where yours is. I also have a hanging butterfly dome :) There is a lot less space up there once you start moving machines outside. I have a few outposts and a little nature farm area down by the lake.

AjaxGuru

only goes to 25

dementedkeeper

I did the same thing. Reached trees and it killed my base with static map trees. Made me sad. Built up high that is. Not the same spot though.

Er0v0s

Awww that's where my first playthroughs base is

Entropy308

simple google search would've shown you everyone else's base or the elevation 25 specifically. the fact they shared it here amidst all the other drowned base posts leads me to believe it's just troll content anyway.

simcowking

But why Google everything before playing?

YourMaster77w

That´s what I say. Kills the surprise.

RunninOnMT

Yeah the joy of these types of games is discovery for me.

Entropy308

if they weren't smart enough to see the waterline after drowning their first base but were desperate enough to build way up there, OP is the type that needs to.
