What do you think Muslims likely agree on with regard to the contents of the Quran?
Itās odd when the expectation of all Muslims is that theyāre committed the contents of their holy book, while Christians in the west are judged not by the content within the Bible but instead by the anti-Christian double standards, contradictions and expressed anti-social politics of (some) the people who believe in it.
Just seems like it should be a complaint about conservatives being bad for minorities and not about how *Muslims* (or *any* group) must inherently support the kind of state-sponsored homophobia and patriarchal divide that our own conservative Christians in the west supported here ~80 years ago and push online td
Given the context of Christians in the west being vastly different and oftentimes disagreeing vehemently with one another over interpretations and what we should and should not do as a society for one another, how could you conclude with any confidence that Muslims are in any agreement on anything?
Muslims, just like Christians and Jews, exist and have cultures and histories far beyond the contents of their holy book. Especially today in the age of information.
To treat the Abrahamic religions as though the European alternatives are purer than the others or that only one can lead to secular creation while the other leads to *exactly*, to a T, what non-Muslims conservatives advocate for, is to just misattribute ~~middle eastern~~ global conservatism and miseducation with the whole of Islam.
Wonāt solve anything to subjugate a religion of millions out of fear that theyāre all the same scary person who wants exactly what you donāt want because the TV said so
Thatās fine. Iām making a comparison between American conservatives who call themselves Christians and middle eastern conservatives who call themselves Muslims, and how neither should be used to fuel anti-religious bigotry. Everything Iām saying also causes me to not judge all of India nor Hinduism based on the ideas expressed by the loudest Hindutvas
Subjugation of or an attempt to eliminate the religion as though itās the issue, will only result in millions of disenfranchised people on both sides. Religious wars do not benefit societies and hundreds of millions have died because of lies that certain groups are antithetical to your own, when there is often a common material struggle between both populations of believers.
I donāt know anything about American Conservatives and their beef with Islam, but looking at their holy books, itās literally the same shit, why are they fighting?
Americansš¤Europeans Hating Muslims
Considering what the Quran says about Women, LGBT+, and those who donāt believe in Islam, yeah, itās somewhat understandable.
Fuck Islam

Itās their holy book, Iād be surprised if they didnāt agree.
