This. They aren’t Nazis, the Nazis are not the litmus test for evil. People drawing these comparisons are missing the huge point. This rhetoric is gaining strength globally, from fascists everywhere. They aren’t Nazis. They’re Israelis. It can happen anywhere, and monsters can be anyone.
I'm not trying to excuse it at all. Palestine must be free and the genocide must stop. But it's just so tragic and fucked up that after what happened to them at the hands of the Nazis there are so many Jewish people willing to excuse this behavior.
It's like they said, "Never Again! And to make sure we're not the victims again it's ok for us to use Nazi tactics against other people." It gives me some hope that many Jewish people understand this false dichotomy and are pushing back against it. Netanyahu needs to be removed from office and charged with war crimes.

No. It’s tragic and should be judged on its own merits. Constantly bringing up Nazis to invoke the holocaust lessens what is happening right now. It creates a “seen it before” mentality that makes the TikTok crowd just keep scrolling. It is completely different, targeting a different people. All genocides are the same. And all genocides are different.

You must also understand that news didn't travel as fast as it does today. At the beginning of WW2 the U.S. didn't even know about most of what the Nazi party was doing to the Jewish people and when news of death camps started creeping in, well after the war had been joined, many of the powers that be didn't really believe it because they couldn't confirm it.
Even after the allies invaded Germany and German occupied territories, and began liberating these death camps, many of the allied soldiers who were seeing these atrocities with their own eyes were literally sickened by the sight of it, as none knew what to expect when they rolled up on them.
Today we see the atrocities playing out in real time, and I'm sorry, but I whole-heartedly disagree with your sentiment. There is real reason to compare the two regimes, and even if you discount the similarity of actions, the sheer irony alone should make anyone's blood boil.
And worse still, it's the actions of the Israelis that are now giving all Jewish people world wide a bad name. Just going to synagogue now is a test of nerves, wondering if someone is going to come in guns blazing or throw a bomb through a door, because people you don't know; whom you don't support morally and who live half-way around the world are doing things to other people that you find morally reprehensible.
I disagree literally only that they should be called nazis. Thats a specific political group from the past. They are fascists, monsters, murderers and child rapists. Crying “nazi” just evokes a different group, they are Israeli. Evil. Genocidal. The comparison only cheapens it.

Lets be honest, western politics just an assholes with double standards. There's no videos like this about russian or chinese army, but there are plenty of sanctions and restrictions. There are hundreds of videos about Israeli army only in this thread and western people just pretending they are blind and US keep selling weapons to Netanyahu.
