I'd settle for a phone call informing me that my great-grand-second-once-removed-cousin's- friend's grandpa passed away and left a vast fortune specifically for me.
Just quit your job and start a new one five seconds later with no real world consequences. You're an accountant? Wanna be an astronaut? Wait... halfway to space you want to be a professional gardener... sure why not? 😆
Everything, especially the work system. Making $1000s a day working is a dream. And how easy it is to get promoted.
Also talk to anyone and make a relationship easy as pie
The quick spin to change your outfit lol also in the sims 3 you could put a fat sim on a treadmill for 3 hours straight and they’ll emerge skinny. I spent SO many years growing up wishing I could do that last one irl
If you keep in mind that a single week in the Sims is the equivalent of several years, you pretty much _can_ get on a treadmill for a few hours and emerge skinny. Because three hours is like several real life months.
I think this is the same for the Sims 3, but in the Sims 4, a single week is equivalent to about 3 months in the real world, since Sim seasons change weekly. Assuming a season IRL is about 90 days long, then each Sim day is about equal to 12.85 real life days. A Sim spending 3 Sim hours on a treadmill is equivalent to them running for 38.5 real life hours straight, all in one go. If you spread those hours out over a month or two, sure, you’d lose weight, but the instantaneousness of it is what I meant
r/theydidthemath
Edit: to count the sims' time you need to either settle for the seasons to be a measure of time (then you're right) or divide the lifespan of a sim, and that is +/- 130 days, so we can assume one Sims day is a bit less than a year (on normal lifespan)
If we used the weeks, then it's not exactly "realistic" since babies are born and go into childhood in the same season. That's some game of thrones season span.
Yeah, if you ran on a treadmill for a month straight, you’d lose some serious weight. Or spread out over a year, that’s two hours of running a day. For someone of my weight, that would be 3500+ calories burned each running session, which would be a pound per day.
Delete old furniture I don't want, without needing to have someone collect it. Be able to redo flooring without having to move furniture or getting somebody to install it. To be able to paint walls without having to cover everything so I don't get paint splashes on anything.
Affordable housing.
Being able to do any kind of home improvement project with just a click of a button.
Having an actual work-life balance.
The actual neighborhoods! They're beautiful and so clean!
And of course, motherlode or kaching.
The easels and how you just pay it some money to get an unlimited supplie of canvases, and that no matter how bad your painting is you can sell it, just by interacting with the easel and you can super easily make a living of it.
Want to cook something? Just select it, the ingredients are there magically, no need to plan ahead or do the shopping. (Ironically I always play with simple living on in the sims but IRL I would prefer without lol)
Not only being able to see the relationship, but also sentiments. Unfortunately not everyone is honest when they're hurt etc, so being able to see it to then have the conversation would be much easier.
Being able to wear literally anything and no-one caring. I'm talking wearing a ball gown to the supermarket, a suit of armour to work, a bikini to a funeral. No-one in the sims seems to even notice how you look, unless you're naked.
Honestly, I just want the cozy house I’ve made to become real and own it so I can live there. I’d be more than happy there with my pets and chickens. 🤗
The job system is great too, but if I have this house I don’t care, I’ll figure everything else out.
A few things off the top of my head:
1 - Money trees
2 - Coming out of a Dumpster with a $14K fridge
3 - All of the potions (by which I mean all the drinkables with cool effects you can buy/make)
4 - Magic
5 - The ability to get any job I want without an interview, resume, cover letter or skills
6 - Pockets of infinite depth that I can stash a sail boat in, along with most of my worldly possessions. Optionally attached to clothing.
work! how easy it is to get a job, how easy it is to advance, get raises and promotions - how accessible PAID vacation days are, how fair the wages and the work hours are, and how easy it is to switch careers whenever you want! it's so utopian
Decorating.
I have a new room and it's reallyyy empty, but in sims 4? No problem hit motherlode and put anything you want in your room it will randomly appear infront of your face, don't like it anymore? Go to build mode and replace it easy
I like those answers already given.
Mine would be the climbing thing. I love to climb but am afraid of heights, so... problem solved. Also it would make climbing a convenient activity I could go after in my cellar 😄
Have you tried bouldering? It's climbing but indoors in max 3 meters height, without a harness and with thick mats on the floor. There are many bouldering gyms where I am, maybe you could look into if they exist in your area as well. I used to like doing that occasionally, but stopped bc of health concerns. And I'm not sportive at all, so it's relatively easy to get into the easier climbing routes.
The fact that you can easily go into build mode and insert a fully decorated and furnished entire room, all in just one day with a few click and drag. No need to wait for an expensive contractor and a tedious constrcution that takes months or years to complete.
They got this cheat on cows and chickens that says Max Friendship and I would love to point that at people. Just become friends with everybody around me.
Also magical trees that let you walk into a fairytale world.
You know how you can buy a nice, modest 2 bedroom house with a large lot in a nice neighborhood and it’s easily under $30,000? I would like that please.
I want it to be socially acceptable for me to decline social invitations the absolutely savage ways they do in Sims 1. "No thanks, I have to feed my llama," or "on my list of things to do, seeing you is at the bottom."
Teleportation (I haven't tried this yet), money tree, cheating money, or switching careers without consequences. Any sound good, but I'd probably do the money tree. Not to be rich, but for the financial stability. Unfortunately learned the hard way that in 4, it's an actual plant, so mine died on me. Best believe I'd be watering that thing and taking care of it like a living child if I had it in real life!
Motherlode lol
I'll even settle for "kaching"
I'd settle for the money tree.
Or the trashbin that pays you for throwing things away. I'd like that. It's not too much but easy to spam.
I'd walk around the neighbourhood and clean it
I'll settle for a 'rosebud' iykyk
Klapaucius (pretty sure that's the spelling) was the one I used before !;!;!;!;.
I'd settle for a phone call informing me that my great-grand-second-once-removed-cousin's- friend's grandpa passed away and left a vast fortune specifically for me.
Yes lol
Came here to say the same thing
Just quit your job and start a new one five seconds later with no real world consequences. You're an accountant? Wanna be an astronaut? Wait... halfway to space you want to be a professional gardener... sure why not? 😆
Want to be a brain surgeon? Just play chess for a couple days and you’re ready.
😆
Rofl
$20,000 to every individual right into adulthood
And the average house only costs 15k
This is something that really should be a thing (and could be). Instead we do the opposite where you enter adulthood with $100,000 or more of debt.
That one is unique to America to be honest.
Lol nice
Teleportation. I’m so tired of car payments, insurance, gas, and maintenance.
YES
Yes! I would have so much more time and energy (and money) if I could teleport everywhere.
freerealestate
Omfg yes
Everything, especially the work system. Making $1000s a day working is a dream. And how easy it is to get promoted. Also talk to anyone and make a relationship easy as pie
My Sim makes 540 Simoleons an hour 😭😂
Damn, this is what we need!
Yes!
And you get what? Like 1 day of paid time off for three days of work? (Which you can take whenever you feel like it)
Lol downside is your lifespan is about 45 days 😂
Not if you play without aging (another good answer for the question).
I dont play with aging lol I wamma live forever, so that's the last part I want in real life lol
Money trees. Steak trees from the Sims 3.
Yes
The quick spin to change your outfit lol also in the sims 3 you could put a fat sim on a treadmill for 3 hours straight and they’ll emerge skinny. I spent SO many years growing up wishing I could do that last one irl
IKR Life in the Sims is just SO much simpler! XD
If you keep in mind that a single week in the Sims is the equivalent of several years, you pretty much _can_ get on a treadmill for a few hours and emerge skinny. Because three hours is like several real life months.

Houses for 20K
It would be a lot easier to know how exactly to get a promotion, like what kind of skills you need to learn in order to move up.
When your boss comes over and asked to see your group chats and snap steaks because you need to have at least three friends for a promotion.
Delete old furniture I don't want, without needing to have someone collect it. Be able to redo flooring without having to move furniture or getting somebody to install it. To be able to paint walls without having to cover everything so I don't get paint splashes on anything.
YES!
Any of the cheats! I want to be able to learn a skill, get a career or make $50000 all in the span of an instant
Cheat my way through all the degrees? Promotions? Become an instant celebrity? Yes please!
Make someone love me on sight, instantly have all my needs solved, change the weather however I want…
Lol yeah
Pause, restart from latest saved spot haha

I wish I could just go into cas and bleach my hair and if I don't like it I can switch it back to any colour and length even😭
You can get a job just by choosing it in a newspaper and clock in the next day
work! how easy it is to get a job, how easy it is to advance, get raises and promotions - how accessible PAID vacation days are, how fair the wages and the work hours are, and how easy it is to switch careers whenever you want! it's so utopian
putting time on triple speed while you’re at work
Money tree
Just being able to upgrade your household items like your mattress xD
A salary that pays for a house.
Decorating. I have a new room and it's reallyyy empty, but in sims 4? No problem hit motherlode and put anything you want in your room it will randomly appear infront of your face, don't like it anymore? Go to build mode and replace it easy
Being able to freeze time and magically rearrange furniture would be pretty dope, especially if I got a cool wand like My Sims: Kingdom
Instant renovation and instant buying and selling of furniture. I would love that. Just placing a basement or pool on a whim.
“PAUSE”
Cheats would be the obvious one, but i'd love IRL Ghost Pets.
That every disease, for people and animals, can be cured for only a few hundred bucks
Ability to drag and drop dirty dishes into the sink/trash
Yes
The make happy cheat
The insta-lean potion and learning new skills quickly.

To travel to any world and have an adventure waiting from sims 3
Motherlode and my Simself’s husband lmao

The fact that you can easily go into build mode and insert a fully decorated and furnished entire room, all in just one day with a few click and drag. No need to wait for an expensive contractor and a tedious constrcution that takes months or years to complete.
I wish I could buy a rocket ship, build it in my yard, then fuck off to space whenever I feel like it
1000 bucks for the base of the ship too. 1000 bucks for a whole ass rocket ship. Count me in
The need meter lmfao My autistic ass could really use that
I asked my bf this and he said “ cheats for money” 🤣 same LOL
They got this cheat on cows and chickens that says Max Friendship and I would love to point that at people. Just become friends with everybody around me. Also magical trees that let you walk into a fairytale world.
Motherlode, jobs with livable wages and quick promotions, and houses under $30,000
The MC Command Center in real life and I'm the only person in the world who knows about it or has access to it. I'd basically be God.
Being able to speed up and pause time
Cheap schooling costs 🤣 I would also love the money cheat so I could pay off said schooling.
easy money
MC Command Centre
“Money x”
Being able to just make the food without having to buy the ingredients beforehand
Construction mode IRL, easily making friends, motherlode
being able to use motherlode or be able to form relationships that easily
